Dr. Andrew B. Fong received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from Loyola University of Chicago, School of Dentistry in 1990. He then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with the United States Air Force. Dr. Fong has served as a dental officer at Sheppard Air Force Base - Texas, Osan Air Base - Republic of Korea and McClellan Air Force Base, California. He has presented lectures on topics such as dental forensic identification, discolored tooth bleaching, custom mouth guards and preventive tooth color fillings. He also organized preventive dentistry programs that reached over 1,200 children at school, church and community events.
Dr. Fong attained the officer rank of Major after completing 14 years of honorable service in the United States Armed Forces. He served six years as a United States Army Ambulance Platoon Leader and twelve years as a General Dental Officer in the United States Air Force. As a military veteran, Dr. Andrew Fong, has received the Army Achievement Award, the National Defense Service Medal for active service during Desert Storm, the Air Force Achievement and Commendation Awards.
Dr. Fong is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Santa Clara County Dental Society and the Academy of General Dentistry. He keeps abreast of current techniques and materials through continuing education courses and professional publications.
Dr. Fong hails from Campbell and graduated from Prospect High School and Santa Clara University. During his free time, Dr. Fong enjoys spending time geocaching with his wife, daughter and son. He also enjoys being a volunteer coach for his son's soccer and baseball teams.

I have been seeing Dr. Fong my whole life and never have had a single complaint. My whole family goes to him. He is wonderful with adults and children alike. I have never had any pain at any visit. Even the injecting of a numbing agent is done with such skill and care that I don't even feel the needle. He and his staff are pleasant 100% of the time, and always a pleasure to see.

First, I have to thank him for his service. But on the topic of dentistry, he is amazing. Sometimes, I nearly fall asleep due to his delicate care. The technology in the facility is modern. I have had no negative experiences with Dr. Fong, and I highly recommend checking him out if you're looking for a dentist in the Bay Area.

I have always been afraid of dentists, that's why sometimes I wait too long for the next dental check-up. Dr. Fong changed my perception, and I feel very confident and fear-free going to his appointments. I initially saw Dr. Fong for a general check-up and cleaning (I got a Groupon voucher), and, since then, got a crown and a major filling done by him. I am very happy with my crown (and the filling too!). Unlike most dental offices,they make crowns in-house, so I went back with the permanent crown that same day! I especially like how Dr. Fong treats his patients. He's always been on time, very articulate about what needs to be done and how much it will cost. He also doesn't try to get more money out of you if a simpler treatment suffices your needs. Overall, I can say that I have finally found my dentist and I definitely recommend Dr. Fong to everyone else!

An absolutely wonderful dentist! I actually fell asleep once in the seat because I was so relaxed! The staff is extraordinarily friendly and always make me feel like a valued customer! I also had a wisdom tooth pulled here with no problem at all, no pain during or after the procedure (your experience may vary of course)! I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for a dentist!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Fong and his staff. They are all very dedicated to providing the best quality service and they are always very friendly and willing to answer any questions that may come up. Dr. Fong has great integrity so I know I can trust him fully with my dental care. If you're apprehensive about getting Novacaine (numbing medicine) - he's the person to go to. He's the BEST shot giver - can't feel a thing! I never much looked forward to going to the dentist but since I've been going to Dr. Fong, I don't mind at all because I know I'll have positive experience. I've received several compliments on my teeth by friends, family and perfect strangers.

I first went to see Dr. Fong to find out if there was anything he could do about the annoying "food trap" that I had between my two back teeth. A previous dentist had repaired my tooth with a filling that left a space for food to get caught in, which was really irritating and even sometimes painful. It was so bad that I had to have floss with me any time I ate. I told the dentist who put in the filling what was going on, and she smoothed the filling a little and said that was the best she could do for me. Smoothing the filling did nothing to fix the problem at all, and I was stuck with this painful food trap for over a year. When I went to see Dr. Fong, at the recommendation of a friend, he was able to completely fix the problem as if it had never been there. He replaced the filling with a new one that fit better. I can't believe how easily Dr. Fong fixed the problem that I was told nothing more could be done for it. I no longer get food caught in that area.Dr. Fong recommended the Silent Night snore guard and how it could help my sleep apnea. I used a CPAP machine but never got a good night's sleep with it. I almost told him that I was not interested, but then figured it couldn't hurt to try. It took a couple of nights for me to get used to falling asleep with something in my mouth. But right away, once I fall asleep, it is definitely the best sleep I have had in years. I go to bed now and get a full night of uninterrupted sleep, without having to have some big uncomfortable mask strapped to my head. My girlfriend has even told me that I don't snore at all anymore with the guard in.Dr. Fong is the best! I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a great dentist. I have definitely found my new dentist.
