I had an absolutely exceptional experience with Dr. Diego and his team. His team stayed late on a Friday night to take care of my root canal. Ultimately, great technical skills are most important, Dr.Diego clearly has exceptional technical skills but he has equally strong customer service; it was an absolutely exceptional experience, Dr. Diego kept me informed through the procedure and he was meticulous to make sure his work was perfect. When finished...on a Friday night, he still took time to carefully explain exactly how the procedure went allowing me to completely understand my root canal. I cannot stress enough how impressed I was with Dr. Diego and his team. If you need a root canal, this is is the doctor to see. I left his office at 7:15 PM on a Friday night, 9:00 AM the next morning I was in the gym working out with no pain at all. Our community is lucky to have Dr. Diego, I encourage everyone in our community to support this kind and highly skilled doctor.

Dr. Diego Andrade was recommended by my dentist. I was able to be seen the same day and had my root canal the following day. My comfort was always his first concern. He took a lot of time to explain the procedure to me. I've not had any pain since the procedure. I highly recommend him.

Some time ago I had a toothache and it was necessary to do root canal treatment. I was attended by Drs. Diego and Tatiana who, together with their team, attended me with great professionalism and attention. Now I needed to have treated two teeth with root canal problems but they were in Winchester, Va. I had no doubt. I drove from Austin, Tx because I trust them. They treated the two root canal on the same day and I'm happy to recommend Dr. Diego and Dr. Tatiana as great endodontists.

My husband told me that this doctor was great but I found that out for myself today. The office fit me in for an emergency root canal due to pain. The procedure took less than 1 hour and was completely pain free. The injections nor the procedure gave me any pain.. I have had many root canals in my life time but he was by far the best.

I had to go to him today (Sep 01, 2017) due to I was up with a severe toothache and had no idea what was going on. First went to my regular dentist and she referred me to him. Very knowledgeable and explained everything he was going to do which helped me to rest as I was scared. Great Dentist would highly recommend.

I would highly recommend Dr. Andrade. I had a root canal today (Jun 22, 2017) and was very anxious about the procedure. He was kind and very skillful. He made sure that I had no pain and very little discomfort. Thank you Dr. Andrade for making this experience a good one. I would highly recommend him, excellent dentist and has a great educational background.

Your tooth consists of two main parts: the crown, which is that part of the tooth above the gum and visible in your mouth; and the root or roots, which is that part of the tooth that lies beneath the gum and is surrounded by bone.

Inside each root is a channel that runs the length of the tooth. This channel is the root canal and contains the pulp (nerves, blood vessels, and soft tissue), which is often referred to as the nerve of the tooth. The pulp may be irreversibly damaged by bacteria associated with decay, very deep restorations, fractures, trauma, or periodontal disease. In order to preserve a tooth in which this has occurred, it is necessary to remove the diseased pulp tissue.

This procedure is known asendodontic therapy. Since endodontic therapy is concerned with removing only the pulp from the root canal, the root will continue to function normally because the supporting tissues remain intact. It is advisable to remove the injured pulp because it may become infected or act as an irritant to the tissues surrounding the tooth.

Dr. Tatiana Oliveira and Dr. Diego Barreto Andrade are married since 2009. Because of their ability to reduce anxiety and stress, along with comforting people, therapy dogs are used in various health care settings such as hospitals, nursing homes and dental practices. According to the American Kennel Club, significant advances in the field of animal assisted therapy and the use of therapy dogs have been made since the 1980s. Organized therapy dog groups provide educational material to volunteers, they screen both volunteers and dogs, and they provide liability insurance for when the dog and handler are volunteering in a therapy setting.

Dr Diego at Shenandoah Endodontics is very professional and patient. He explained everything he did and took his time. If you are someone like myself who does not do well in any dentist chair, he is the guy. My root canal was painless.
