My goal when I opened Andover Family Dentistry was simple - to provide a dental office that is the first choice for families in Andover and the surrounding communities for their dental care. Dr. Howell completed his undergraduate studies at Wichita State University (WSU) in 2005. He was then accepted into the Reserved Admission Program through the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) School of Dentistry which allowed him early entry into dental school. He completed his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at UMKC in 2009. Following completion of his training, Dr. Howell continues to pursue his passion for providing high quality, beautiful dentistry by completing numerous hours of continuing education each year.
Dr. Howell grew up in Derby, Kansas in a large family. He married his high school sweetheart, Stacey, and together they reside in Andover where they are raising their three children. When hes not at the office, Dr. Howell enjoys hunting and fishing on their family farm, spending time with his wife and children, and cheering on the Wichita State Shockers.
Kelsey graduated from Wichita State with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. Prior to this, she worked as a dental assistant. She prides herself on providing gentle, but thorough hygiene care to patients of all ages. She strives to make sure all patients leave our office well informed on the condition of their oral health. Outside of the office, Kelsey loves spending time with her husband and two children. Some of Kelseys hobbies include snow skiing, water sports, and spending time outdoors.
Andrea graduated in 2009 with a degree in dental hygiene from Wichita State University. She enjoys being a hygienist because it provides her with a 'hands-on' way to truly help people and give them healthier, brighter smiles. She enjoys meeting new people and helping them feel comfortable during their visits. She is married to Dr. Mike Ray, a chiropractor at Blue Chip Spine and Sports Specialists in Wichita. Outside of work, Andrea and Mike enjoy attending sporting events, hunting, fishing, and spending time with their families.
Shelby completed her studies at University of Northern Iowa and Hawkeye Community College. She has been practicing dental hygiene since 2009. She prides herself on getting to know the patient and providing them with a gentle and thorough dental cleaning. Her husband, James Keller, and three children moved to Wichita in 2016. They reside on an acreage outside of Rose Hill and own Schuette's Dirt Works.
Jenna graduated from Wichita State with her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She enjoys getting to know her patients and providing them with a comfortable and educational cleaning to help them achieve optimal oral health. When Jenna is not in the office, she enjoys staying active, spending time with friends and family and cheering on her boys at their sporting events
Helen received her dental assistant training at Wichita Area Technical College. She likes being a dental assistant because it provides the opportunity to meet many new people. She strives to ensure each patient has a comfortable dental visit. Helen and her husband, Jack, are busy with their three children. When she is not spending time with her family and friends or attending her daughters volleyball games, Helen likes to sew, crochet, and craft.
Sarah has been a dental assistant for 9 years. She graduated from the Flint Hills Area Technical program in 2010. Married to Wyatt Jackson, the two enjoy farm life, gardening, and spending time with their animals.
Allison completed her studies at Wichita State University where she studied health care management and community development. She has worked in the dental industry for over 10 years. She enjoys creating an environment that allows patients to feel comfortable and taken care of. Beyond work, Allison and her family enjoy spending time with friends and family.

As a child was taken to a dentist who hated children, very bad experience. Once I reached adulthood, knew that I needed to see a dentist 2X a year and never had a bad experience after that. The techs and the dentist at Andover Family Denistry are very kind and friendly people.

Our family experience was great. They gave attention to detail and no "out of pocket" surprises. The dentist as well as the support staff were professional and treated each of us with care. I would highly recommend this dental office to any family in the Andover/Wichita area.

Wow!! I've never really liked the dentist, so much so that I avoided it for 4-5 years. They welcomed me as a new patient and made me feel SO much more comfortable with going to the dentist. From the moment I walked in the door there was a calm, friendly and positive vibe. I had 4 different people work with me today, and each one of them was absolutely fantastic.

During my first visit to AFD I not only received a thorough cleaning but they were also able to fill a tooth cavity that was spotted from the x-rays just taken, so I wouldn't have to make another appointment. To make my visit more comfortable, I was treated to a back massage while sitting in the chair and watched a peaceful display of sea creatures on the flat panel mounted on the ceiling! Thank you AFD!

I would highly recommend Andover Family Dentistry. From check-in to check-out everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Howell and his team made me feel welcome right away. Kelsey was great to work with. She talked me through every step of my appointment and accommodated all of my needs. I appreciate everything they do!

Very clean and pleasant atmosphere, staff and personnel were very friendly and helpful. Dental hygienist Kelsey was extremely professional and personable. She was very thorough and did an excellent job taking x-rays and performed cleaning while offering positive suggestions for improving dental hygiene and answering all my questions!:) Dr. Howell also offered a thorough evaluation and analysis of my current dental condition and offered informative dental suggestions to continue the improvement of my overall dental health. I'm thrilled to find a new home with these highly professional and friendly dental professionals!!:)
