Dr. Dennis Rothschild opened Andover Dental to provide comprehensive restorative and cosmetic dentistry for families. Dr. Rothschild and his experienced staff provide a conservative approach to comprehensive dental care. Andover Dental provides a positive and supportive atmosphere where each patient achieves optimal dental health and a beautiful smile.

One key component to Dr. Rothschilds successful practice is education, both for himself and his patients. I believe that dentistry is a journey, he says. Materials, procedures, equipment, technology and philosophies are always changing so I spend a lot of time completing continuing education courses to assure the services and materials we offer our patients are the best for them.

Dr. Rothschild recently graduated from Implant Educators program, part of University of Florida College of Dentistry, a yearlong program in proper implant placement and success. In addition, he has over 1000 hours of continuing education in all areas of dentistry including alumni in the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Study, Spear Education, Dental and Sleep Solutions, far exceeding the State requirement of only 15 hours of CE a year!

Dr. Rothschild is a member & fellow in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists,is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Florida Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, which is by invitation only. Dr. Rothschild earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma, College of Dentistry.

Dr. Rothschild focuses on preventative dental care always providing specific attention to each patients individual needs and all their cosmetic desires. He spends considerable time with each patient explaining his or her dental health condition and the many treatment options available. I believe in making patients feel comfortable, respecting their time and giving the best service with the utmost care says Dr. Rothschild.

Dr. Rothschild enjoys working with children, including children with special needs and fears drawing on techniques he learned while participating in the University of Oklahomas Pediatric Honors program. He believes in incorporating the parents in the treatment as much as possible making the children and the parents feel comfortable. He strives to provide families with a lifetime of good dental health.

In addition to his dental practice, Dr. Rothschild donates his time and services to local dental access charities, educates students at local schools on dental health, and supports teams in the Special Olympics.

Your health depends on getting enough sleep. If you or your partner experiences any symptoms of snoring or sleep apnea, consult your dentist. There are treatments, and you can get your restful nights back

About 90 million Americans suffer from snoring activity during sleep. While half of these people are simple snorers or primary snorers, the other half may have a serious sleep disorder called obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). The two conditions are often inaccurately used interchangeably and may be incorrectly treated as a result. While OSA will almost always leads to loud and frequent snoring, snoring does not always indicate OSA. Understanding the differences between sleep apnea and primary snoring is the first step to effective treatment of both conditions. For all the people across the country who are getting nudged or elbowed throughout the night from frustrated bed partners, its important to know what their snoring means, and how they can silence it.

Knowing the difference between the two conditions is key in determining proper treatment. Snoring is the result of tissues in the throat relaxing enough that they partially block the airway and vibrate, creating a sound. Depending on an individuals anatomy and other lifestyle factors such as alcohol consumption and body weight, the sound of the vibration can be louder or softer. Loud frequent snoring is one of the indicators of OSA, which is a chronic condition characterized by pauses in breathing or shallow breaths during sleep. When people with OSA fall asleep, they can stop breathing for a few seconds to a minute or more. Both conditions can be caused or made worse by obesity, large tongue and tonsils, aging and head and neck shape.

If you or your partner is a frequent loud snorer, stops breathing, gasps or chokes during sleep, experiences excessive restlessness at night or feels sleepy during the day, you may want to bring it up with your doctor to see whether a sleep study is necessary. Taking this first step to get tested prior to beginning any treatment prevents inaccurate self-diagnosis, inadequate treatment, and/or premature dismissal of the problem. Your primary care physician will be able to refer you to a sleep specialist.

Snoring treatments range from lifestyle alterations, such as weight loss, a decrease in alcohol consumption and changing sleeping positions, to oral devices, nasal strips and even surgery. Treatment of OSA, however, often involves CPAP, a blower connected by a tube to a mask that fits over the mouth or nose, blowing air so that a continuous pressure in the airway is maintained. This constant pressure keeps the airway from collapsing allowing normal breathing. While CPAP is very effective, some sleep apnea patients experience difficulty using a CPAP machine, as it can be uncomfortable, embarrassing or just inconvenient. Dental appliances are FDA approved to reduce or eliminate the need for CPAP for patients with mild to moderate sleep apnea. These devices are fabricated by a dentist and work across OSA severity, body mass index (BMI), age, gender, race, and it fits into most lifestyles.

Often, snoring can be dismissed as a natural part of aging. While its true that snoring can increase over time with age and weight gain, it should not be accepted as an ordinary and standard juncture in life. It can and often should be treated for the sake of the snorer and their partner.

More than just a noisy nuisance, snoring and sleep apnea can have serious health ramifications. OSA sufferers usually move out of deep sleep into light sleep when their breathing pauses and this lessens sleep quality. OSA can also trigger the release of stress hormones, change how your body uses energy, and make you feel tired and sleepy during the day. In addition, there are several potential negative health effects of inadequate sleep, such as weight gain, memory loss, skin aging and more. There is also evidence that OSA leads to a greater risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, stroke, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, diabetes, certain cancers and even sudden death. Treating either condition can decrease these risks.

While the snorer may not feel that the condition is disrupting his or her sleep, the partner being kept up all night by the noise may feel differently. Relationships can severely suffer if partners are irritated about being kept awake or having to sleep in separate rooms. Over 41 percent of women who say they need a good nights sleep instead have it interrupted by a snoring partner. The lack of sleep or need for nighttime separation can foster resentment and decrease intimacy in relationships. There are additional health risks from lack of consistent high-quality sleep, including being more prone to accidents, difficulty focusing, impaired attention and alertness, as well as other serious risks such as heart disease, stroke and diabetes. This lack of sleep can promote weight gain while also accelerating the aging of the skin and brain.

We as a family used to come to this office yearly and it was good, we always recommended this office for the good treatment we received but they changed. Appointments are difficult to book, the attitude over the phone is not welcoming. You are late for one appointment because emergencies happens, you are on the way but they said is already late they can't see you. They have 15 minutes grace period which I understand but we were close maximum 5 minutes more. They said I need to make a new appointment but they can't book it before me paying a no show fee. I called back and agreed to pay the fee since is out family dentist for many years but now is not the fee, is the whole visit up front before making the appointment and seeing the doctor and when I asked which no show because they said "our family have many no shows/missed appointments" which is not true and I have my emails, they said is from an appointment from 2020 only one appointment. From 2 years ago and I went to the office after that and they never mentioned anything. Is unbelievable not having consideration towards patients from many years. I work at a medical office and we don't treat our patients like that and we are understanding, we know this happens in life and emergencies happens. We care about our patients well-being but this office sadly is not like that. They said my insurance will reimburse me after around 3 weeks but is not only that is the way they treat you over the phone and making it hard to book the appointment and keep being put on a wait list. Sadly we will be going to another dentist from now on. This used to be a welcoming staff but not anymore. We will not recommend this office anymore, I will mention to everyone how they work and their "policies" that comes out of nowhere.

I've been seeing Dr. Rothschild for over 10 years, maybe even 15 years by now. He loves teeth and it shows in his attention to detail and willingness to answer any questions. The office staff is great and the hygienists are always professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. If you need a dentist, I highly recommend Andover Dental.

When I called dr. Dennis Rothschild, I had a seventeen-year-old year old bridge that broke in half and fell out of my mouth on my way to work. I wasn't even his patient, I just googled the closest dentist and read the reviews on several dentist close to my place of work. Fortunately when I called they rearranged the day and got me in right away. It was a very stressful time, I have so much anxiety about going to the dentist. Dr. Dennis Rothschild was so kind and compassionate through the entire experience. His entire staff is so kind and compassionate I will forever be grateful, for not being dismissed that day when I called in a panic. The doctor assured me I would leave with teeth and I did. A temporary bridge was put in place that day. They even made sure that during the lockdown of coved 19, that I safely continued to get my work done. he took so much time and energy to make sure my smile was perfect and everything fit perfectly. If there was six stars I would give it. Best dental experience I've ever had and I now have a smile better than the one I had. It was painless and easy.

I am so grateful for Dr. Dennis. I was only home from college Thursday-Sunday, and he came into the office to clean my teeth when the office was closed on Saturday. He truly cares about his patients and does anything it takes to make things work. Above and beyond....thank you!!!!!!:)

I am not one to do reviews, but I feel that this office totally deserves it. I was VERY pleased with the service and amazing staff. Someone from my Cross-fit gym asked for recommendations for a dentist on a FB Group page and Andover Dental was the 1st one mentioned. About a week ago I called to schedule a visit and Kathy was VERY sweet and helpful I had a lot of questions and not at any point did I feel she was rushing to get off the phone. Today I had my 1st visit with Dr. Rothschild and to be honest I've never felt more comfortable in a dentist office. I've never had a dentist sit in front of me, make eye contact and start a conversation to actually get to know you and then ask for any concerns you may have. They usually just walk in say hello and dig into your mouth! So I am extremely HAPPY I finally found a friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy dental office :) Thank you Andover Dental!
