Dr. Anderson grew up in the Great Northwest, in Ellensburg, Washington. He graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Business. He became inspired by his father-in-law, a general dentist, to pursue a direction where hecould help people live a healthy life. So began the path towards becoming an excellent practitioner in the field of dentistry.
His choice for dental school was Ohio State University, in Columbus Ohio; a long way from home, but the university had an outstanding reputation and it allowed himthe chance to see another part of the country. He graduated in 1987, upon which he spent time doing an externship at the Coast Guard dental clinic in Seattle, Washington. He then worked in the Indian Health Service in FortDefiance, Arizona. In 1989 Dr. Anderson purchased his practice in Sandpoint, Idaho. He has called Sandpoint home for over 25 years from now.
Dr. Anderson has been married to his wonderful wife Laurie, a dental hygienist in the practice, for over 30 years. They have four great kids who have provided plenty of excitement over the yearswith all their activities from ski racing to soccer and everything in-between. Sandpoint has been a wonderful place for them to grow up.
He enjoys all this area has to offer and feels thankful to live in such a beautiful part of the country. He enjoys skiing, bike riding, being out on the lake, hiking, and just about anything outdoors. The family enjoys following their favorite sports teams, especially the Huskies, the Cougars,the Ohio State Buckeyes, the Seahawks, Mariners baseball, and Gonzaga basketball. (To name a few!)

I HATE DENTISTS; however, Dr. Anderson and his entire staff have earned my trust and faith. I experience minimum discomfort and my after-care is excellent. I really hope he never retires!

I have been coming here for years and always look forward to seeing Dr Anderson and Gina. It is like going to a healing spa. They are so kind and gentle, I wouldn't go anywhere else.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Anderson for four years now. The office and staff are wonderful just last year and were very upset because our insurance changed and said we could no longer be covered by them. We chose a different dentist in Sandpoint for a little while that was fine, and three months later we found out that it was all a big mistake and we were able to come back to Dr. Anderson and his amazing staff. It was like coming back home. Dr. Anderson is so gentle and explains everything he's going to be doing ,You are an excellent hands with him. And I have been in the dental field as a hygienist for over 40 years. All of the rest of the staff is so friendly they all know your name they are so professional, But they treat you like family. I can't imagine going anywhere else to have my dental work done. They are five star all the way .The Hortons

Dr. Steve Anderson is Great... we are so lucky to have such a caring, fabulous dentist here in Sandpoint. I was fortunate to meet Steve and his wonderful wife,Laurie (amazing dental practitioner, herself) soon after they moved here and consider them friends, also. Very professional yet personable, everyone was friendly and very thorough, listened very well to my personal medical issues and gave me suggestions that could help, I couldn't have asked for a better hygienist did a great job and showed real compassion with my sensitive oral care, the Dr. Anderson was very personable and explain the approach to my needs and gave me options, which was really nice to have choices, I don't personally like going to have dental work and it creates anxiety for me but, it doesn't get any better than here , from the office personal, hygienist, to the Dentist, all 5 star! Actually looking forward to getting my oral care and new smile

I have never liked dentists. I was very nervous about going but I needed a tooth fixed, I went in expecting to be treated like another pay check but was very surprised and pleased when the staff treated me like a human. I have extreme anxiety when going to the dentist and after only a few minutes I felt better and more relaxed, everyone is very up front about what they are doing and why they are doing it, always asking about comfort and making sure you experience no pain no matter what they do. Loved all the staff here and Dr Anderson was simply delightful. Gina was very kind and understanding and genuinely wanted to get to know me. I will definitely be much more relaxed on my next visit and will be recommending them to anyone who needs a new dentist!

I went into their office feeling self conscious of my teeth issues and they made me feel good about my situation and pointed out the positives I have going. They made me feel special and I like that.
