Dr Olabi is amazing! We have gone to him for 8 years. He is the only dentist that my son would let in his mouth

I wish I could give zero stars. They are supposed to be a professional practice but unfortunately this is not the case. My son went there several months ago to get dental work, they gave him laughing gas but he could still feel the pain when they started drilling so he started crying and freaking out. Mind you he is 6 and not allowed to have his mom back there with him. they did not know how to handle him crying and made him leave. (he was not throwing anything or destroying anything, he was just simply sitting there crying in pain) We ended up leaving and when I tried to call back to set an appointment they said he needed to do a consultation again before they would even clean his teeth. When I had asked why they began to get very confrontational hung up on me. After calling back they said he was just too complicated to work on. I was frustrated and hung up the phone after being on the phone for a half an hour with trying to set him up an appointment. They were beyond rude and are terrible with children. They traumatized my six year old so now he is terrified of the Dentist!

Took my boys here twice, horrible experiences both times. Bed side manner from staff and Dr. was definitely the worst I've experienced. My oldest said he was choking on spit while the assistant who was supposed to be doing suction was playing on her phone. My youngest screamed and cried for hours after his appointment and complained of not being numb. He also had brusing and bleeding and cuts on his gums after a filling procedure. Dr. Basically said no dental work is fun and pain is part of it, if u don't take care of ur teeth. My kids are 13 and 8 and have never had to have work done before. After seeking treatment somewhere else was told that my oldest didn't even need a filling.

They do not let a parent in when a tooth is being pulled. They charge for "Laughing gas" and claim they will prep the area of injection after the child gets calm and then administer the anesthesia. This does not happen. The child breathes for a few minutes, then they decide the tooth is "wobbly" and dig the tooth out without the numbing AT ALL. This way the child has to endure the pain. They still charge full price for the removal of a baby tooth, which is 200 US dollars. They also lie about the appointments. Initially they promise it will be two weeks. But when you come to initial exam and try to make an appointment they say it is two month of waiting. ???

Don't know where the change came because my older kids came her 15 yrs ago for many years but now they careless if your kids are in pain. And definitely do not care if you take your services elsewhere every answer is ok. Definitely not the same dentist or staff they are very rude. And I would never recommend them again to anyone

I have always brought my two girls here and they have always been gentle and informative with them. As they have gotten older, treatments and such were explained to their level of understanding. My oldest is now ready to move to the adult dentist and has no issues or fear of the dentist. My youngest also has no fear of going to the dentist. That is saying something! Thank you.

Been taking my kids here since my 11 year old had his first tooth. But I have finally put my foot down & finding a new dentist. I can not deal with how rude & hateful they can be. Tried to schedule my daughter an appointment wasn't asked what it was for just said it would be a month. Told her my daughter has a new tooth growing in over a tooth & she's in pain said next week at 10 but didn't say a day. I told her I'd like to get my other two scheduled & was told it would be a different day well I figured but she was very rude so I said I'd find a different dentist & she says ok that's fine. Yeah it is fine. I should of found a new dentist a long time ago because of how rude & hateful they can be! All she kept saying is how booked they are! Fine if your that booked I'll find a dentist that can get my daughter in & help her

This guy is a straight sham, and his office staff is terrible on their best day. Internal arguments between assistants, the only hygienist, who also happens to be his fiance, belittles staff and that's when she isn't getting cursed out by Dr. Olabi, (can't wait for THAT happy matrimony!) The staff is rough with children, especially for x-rays, and they have zero patience or sympathy for children of any age. So please, don't let your child come in scared, otherwise they'll be instantly strapped to a papoose board for 30 minutes, or they'll spit out the bite wing X-ray from crying, only to be sent home with no procedure, which still puts your kid through the trauma, and reeks of Medicare fraud hailing back to the Kool Smiles scandal! (Wasn't this the same building?!?) Ask any dentist in Madison Co., this guy needs audited, investigated, and shut down, though the State of Indiana doesn't seem to give much of a damn since you can just keep running practices with little punishment. Would love to watch this guy and his business go to hell...

I have been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant with Dr. Olabi {we all call him Dr. O} for more than 3 years. I have witnessed just about every type of patient that has come through this office. Dr. Olabi specializes in Pediatric Dental needs. That means that he is a licensed Pediatric Dentist and went to school for an additional 2 years to become specially trained to treat and care for Children's dental needs. From routine, preventative care to different forms of sedation commonly used to calm apprehensive children while still diagnosing and treating the dental needs of each of his little patients. To understand the depth and difficulty that comes with treating children is to first understand that 90% of ADULTS suffer from some sort of Dental phobia. Adults who have the mental capacity to understand and comprehend the information being explained to them about dental treatment and the effects that different factors have on each person individually. Factors such as poor oral hygiene {not brushing and flossing twice a day or after meals}, food and drinks we consume that rapidly break down our tooth structure {candy, soda, sugary treats}, family history and genetics that are different for each person, even siblings {crooked teeth, over crowding, extra teeth, missing teeth, etc}, financial costs associated with treatment and the inability to completely sedate a patient every time they simply need an exam or cleaning. Consider now the fact that the patients that are being treated in this dental practice AVERAGE in age from 2 years old to 12 years old. It is ignorant to expect every child to come in and not cry. Most have to be sedated or swaddled to complete something as simple as xrays to something as extensive as restorations or extractions. I am confident in Dr. O's subjective decisions for each individual patient he treats. He has personally sedated, swaddled and treated my 2 youngest children using the same methods as he would with any other child that is a patient in this practice. The bold reality of Pediatric Dentistry and more specifically with Anderson Pediatric Dentistry, regardless of the differences that define our patients, I believe with my whole heart and stand firm in the faith that I have in Dr. Olabi as a dedicated and competent Dentist to make sure each child is receiving the best plan of care to meet their individual needs. It's unfortunate that outsiders cannot understand the dynamics of the dental office and appreciate the fact that we are all human and we all have different personalities, yet each day we return and give it our all to each and every patient and one another as a team.
