Dr. Darren Huang received his DDS as part of the combined BA/DDS program and his postgraduate certificate in orthodontics both from New York University. He graduated within the top five of his dental class, graduated magna cum laude as an undergraduate, is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor at New York University College of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO).
He is the author of numerous articles on the treatment of complex malocclusions with the Invisalign appliance. He has been published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, Orthodontic Practice, New York State Dental Journal, and other publications.He is also a writer of both art criticism and fiction. His work has been published in Bookforum, Hong Kong Review of Books, Kenyon Review, Harvard Review, and other publications.
Dr.Huang earned his BDS degree from Taipei Medical University and DDS degree from New York University, College of Dentistry (NYUCD) with distinction. In his professional career, he has received exceptionally extensive orthodontic training, of which includes an orthodontic internship at Mackay Memorial Hospital in Taiwan and certification by the International orthodontic program at NYUCD. He was also awarded his specialty certificate in orthodontics from the NYUCD postgraduate division.
Dr.Huang is a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) and a fellow of the American College of Dentists (FACD) and International College of Dentists (FICD). He has served as an attending orthodontist and director of the orthodontic program at Flushing Hospital Medical Center for the past 25 years. He is currently a faculty member of Taipei Medical University and NYUCD and former chief orthodontist of Lincoln Hospital Medical Center. He is also the founder and executive director of the locally reputed North Queens Dental Study Club.
Dr.Huang is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), American Dental Association (ADA), and College of Diplomates of American Board of Orthodontics (CDABO). Dr. Anderson Huang was recently appointed as a board examiner of American board of Orthodontics (ABO), ABO is regarded as the highest authority of the specialty of orthodontics. He has lectured frequently in local study clubs, hospitals, universities, and featured in countries such as Hong Kong, Canada, Taiwan, and Italy.
