Dr. Mark Anderson was born in Payson, Utah, but grew up in the Midwest. He graduated from University High School in Colorado. He served a two-year mission for his church in Jacksonville, Florida. After his mission, he attended Brigham Young University in Utah, where he graduated with a bachelors degree in science. He attended the University of Missouri Kansas City and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Anderson is happily married and has four children. He has been practicing dentistry since 1997 and loving it. He loves people and enjoys helping them improve their smiles. When Dr. Anderson is not hard at work, he volunteers his time with Team Smile and Give A Kid A Smile as a way to give back to the community. Dr. Anderson also enjoys walking his dog and spending time with family.
Velia was born in Managua, Nicaragua. She came to the U.S. in 1987 and lived in Van Nuys, California. She moved with her family to Tucson, Arizona, where she graduated from Rincon High School. She learned English in high school and loved it. She did long distance running in her track team in high school. She started in dentistry in 2000 when Dr. Anderson opened his practice. She is happily married and has four children. She enjoys taking pictures and going to Disneyland.
Bailee graduated with her associate degree in dental hygiene from Carrington College in November 2016. She joined Anderson Family Dentistry in 2021 and loves being part of a practice that genuinely cares about their patients and about their oral health education. Bailee plays an important part in helping our patients learn about and understand what is going on in their mouths. She and her husband have been married for five years. Her husband is a nurse, and they have one daughter. Bailee loves spending time with her family and spending as much time as possible at the lake or beach!
Esther is the youngest of four kids. She is native to Mesa, Arizona. She is currently attending ALA Gilbert North High School. She started as an intern, helping to clean operatories, taking on light janitorial duties and setting up operatories. She loves to bake and hopes to open her own business in the future. After graduating from high school, she hopes to serve a church mission.
Jennifer is a native to Arizona. She is one out of seven siblings. She graduated from Queen Creek High School. She is happily married and has two energetic boys. On her days off, she is taking kids to soccer or football practice. She enjoys the outdoors and loves dentistry. She joined our office in 2008 and is more like a family member now. She started as an assistant and transitioned to the front office. She loves people and helping them with insurance and dental treatment questions.
Sarah was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. She is the third-oldest of four kids. She graduated from ALA Gilbert North High School. She loves soccer and has played on AYSO, NYSA, Club and high school teams. She enjoys art, music and sleep. She grew up in the dental office since her dad is the dentist. She used to welcome patients when she was a toddler, and since she graduated, she is an official part of our team, working as an assistant since 2020.
