Dr. Ronald Sconyers is a native of South Carolina. He earned his DMD in 1994 from the Medical University of South Carolina, College of Medicine in Charleston South Carolina, where he graduated with honors. After completing his General Practice Residency, Dr. Sconyers was selected from his class to study under the tutelage of a distinguished dentist in Clinton, Tenessee. After enhancing his mastery of the dental arts under the guidance of his esteemed mentor, Dr. Sconyers and his family moved back to their home state of South Carolina where they purchased Anderson Family Dental care in 1998. Hes been in private practice ever since, and has been lucky enough to have his old friend Dr. John Hollingsworth join the team. Dr. Sconyers believes in the importance of giving back to his community, and is a member of several service clubs including the Anderson Sertoma Club, Habitat for Humanity, Tri-County Younglife, the Sunshine House, and the United Way Campaign. Dr. Sconyers true passion is his role as the Director of the Free Clinic's Dental Department, where hes the lead dental provider.
Like his good friend, Dr. John Hollingsworth is also a South Carolina native. He earned his DMD from the Medical University of South Carolina where he excelled as a student, receiving such honors as the Alumni Student Leadership Award, the Pierre Fauchard Academy Award, and the International College of Dentistry Award. In 1995, Dr. Hollingsworth moved back to his hometown where he ran a successful family dental practice for six years before joining Dr. Sconyers at Anderson Family Dental Care. Dr. Hollingsworth is a member of several professional organizations including the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the Piedmont District Dental Society, the Tri-County Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He also volunteers his time at the Anderson Free Clinic.

The best dentist in Anderson SC! After going to multiple dentists in our first several years of living in the area, we made a change to Anderson Family Dental Care. Since then, we've never even considered going anywhere else. Dr Sconyers is our guy. Dr Hollingsworth seems great too. All the assistants, hygienists, and office staff are excellent as well. Everyone there is friendly and professional. They truly care about us as people. They only prescribe services and procedures we actually need, and when we've needed orthodontics or periodontics care they've referred us to caring and quality partners just like them. Other than brush our teeth and floss, all we have to do is show up for our scheduled appointments and pay our bills within a reasonable amount of time. To our family, that's just common decency and respect. Treat others how you want to be treated. I highly recommend Anderson Family Dental Care.

Dr. Ruiz saved my life. My wisdom teeth are severely impacted and that impacted the rest of my teeth. Every dentist I went to pretty much told me I was out of luck. I was self-conscious if my smile and felt hopeless. Dr. Ruiz was the only dentist who found a solution for me. I am a month away from my dream smile. I recommend all my friends and family. Go to Dr. Ruiz, you won't regret it!

Six months ago they would have gotten 5 stars. But, in January my $50 bill was turned over to collections (first and only time that's ever happened) and when I called to make an appointment in June, I was told that I would no longer be a patient because "any time a bill goes to collections, the doctors terminate the relationship"...that would have been nice to know prior to this issue (but I "signed something when I became a new patient 5 years ago). No one ever contacted me about this being policy, or after the fact, telling me that I wasn't a patient. All the while, when I'm on hold I hear the machine say "our doctors believe in effective communication with their patients"...that's not true. So, thanks ladies in the office area for doing your job! Just a part of business right? Let's not worry about how it screws the patient.
