Dr. Steven Anderson opened Anderson Dental in November 2005. After working for other dental practices in the area, he decided to move out on his own. As a man of many talents and with a lot of ambition, Dr. Anderson built the professional building where he, his staff, and his dental practice occupy the top floor.
Dentistry is a second career for me, he says. I was an executive in computer science, and did a couple start-up companies; but that career required a lot of traveling, and I was tired of that. My family was starting to grow too and I wanted to stay home and watch the boys grow.
Anderson Dental focuses on comprehensive and quality patient care. Dr. Anderson says, We focus on our patients and their needs and wants. Our patients are very important to us. We do not treat them like a number or rush through treatment. We want to know each patient and we demonstrate that by spending time to do quality work.
It takes time to diagnose a patients problem correctly and even more time to do quality dentistry; otherwise things get missed, he says. I support quality dentistry and that extra time and effort usually comes with a little bit of a cost differential; but it is worth it to receive the correct diagnosis followed by high quality care. Dr. Anderson notes this is sometimes lost or not seen as necessary these days with the ever-increasing effort to find or provide cheap care. He feels this is tragic because dental disease is often preventable and much more affordable when treated early. A disease like periodontal (gum/bone) disease may affect your whole body, is costly to treat, and has become the most common reason why adults loose their teeth.
At Anderson Dental you can expect to receive comprehensive, quality dental care, which focuses on your total oral health being examined, correctly diagnosed, and explained to every patient. Sometimes I have patients who see me for treatment and they say My other dentist didnt say that. Often times their problem can be directly related to an inappropriate initial dental diagnosis, he says. Dr. Anderson takes time with each of his patients; with modern diagnostics and training, he is dedicated to knowing and treating the diseases that affect the oral health of his patients.
Anderson Dental features a modern, well-equipped office with an experienced staff to assist Dr. Anderson. Brittany is the front office coordinator and is an expert in assisting every patient get through the many complex dental insurance issues faced today. Shelley is Dr. Anderson's full-time assistant and has more than 20 years of dental experience. I am absolutely committed to surrounding myself with a highly experienced, caring staff to assist me in everyday patient care, Dr. Anderson says. It makes a big difference for everyone . . .everyday.
Anderson Dental will see children at age one, usually with the parent. In my profession, I want the child in the office early to be acclimated to his/her dentist and to help the parent know how to prevent the most common disease in the world tooth decay. If I can prevent tooth decay, I am a happy doctor, Dr. Anderson says.
Anderson Dental also supports sports teams in the area and stresses the importance of athletic mouth guards. Only custom-fit mouth guards adequately protect teeth and the soft tissue of the mouth when athletes get hit with a ball or elbow in basketball, football, or other contact sports. A custom-fit mouth guard can be produced at the office practically while you wait, and it may save a tooth from being knocked out or a lip from being lacerated.
Dr. Anderson is also trained in complex dental surgeries such as widsom teeth extractions, dental implants and sinus lifts. Dental implants are titanium screws that are surgically placed in the jaw bone to replace the root-form and crown of a lost or extracted tooth.

I moved to Woodstock 9 months ago and needed a dentist. I saw this great dentist office and decided to try it since it was a great location for me. Sabrina the front desk associate was so kind, courteous and professional. She fit me in quickly for X-rays and Dr Anderson examined my teeth. He was very kind and thorough. The two techs that took my X-rays were very gentle. I went back a few days later and was met by Sabrina again just as friendly as the first visit. Scott cleaned my teeth and did a great job. He was also very informative. Great experience in a dentist office. I highly recommend them.

All the staff at Anderson Dental are extremely kind and supportive. I got my teeth cleaned by Scott, and he was very friendly and accommodating. He knows not everyone loves the dentist and he makes an effort to make you as comfortable as possible! Dr Anderson is extremely funny and made my root canal feel like a breeze! I have no doubt in my mind he will do just as great with my upcoming wisdom teeth removals. Everyone in the office is very professional while also being compassionate. Sabrina at the front office even knows my name, and is always very helpful when it's time to check out! I would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a dentist office :)

If you are in need of a great dentist with a warm, Inviting, friendly atmosphere, and a great bedside manner then you definitely need to go see Dr. Anderson! I had so much anxiety about my teeth and saw many dentists before him but could never seem to find the right fit. Between Dr. Anderson, his assistant Rachel, Sabrina at the front desk, and Shelley in the front office you will have the best care and customer service throughout your whole visit. You can't go wrong with Anderson Dental!!

Amazing practice. From the moment I walked in the door I felt welcome and that I was going to be taken care of and not advantage of. My care was in my hands and it was my choice how I wanted to progress. It took me a long time to find a family practice where my family and I could feel part of thank goodness they still exist. Thank you all for the effort you put in every time I visit right from Sabrina welcoming us back to Dr Anderson and Rachael with their excellent care and banter. Customer for life.

I have NOW found my new denist! My 3rd visit- recieved a root canal- build up & a crown yesterday. (he shared the xray with me & explained everything on my 2nd visit) Yesterday- I was anxious & very nervous. He saw that. He explained each step of the way & stopped to let me rest & take some deep breaths. I was traumatized from my past dentist! Dr Anderson was so gentle & made me feel better! His assistant was also very nice as well- asking me "are you okay" ? I give her a thumbs up. I highly recommend Dr Andersons & his amazing team! Thank you guys so much! Dr A and his staff are amazing!! They took such good care of you while in there office. I was cold when there and they gave me a nice blanket to keep me warm. Dr A numbed me up extra as I had a bad tooth and started to feel pain.. he is kind and caring as is Shelly and Jennifer. I do t like going to the dentist and they make it all ok and comfortable for me when there!! Love them

I went to this dentist as a first time patient right before Christmas with a toothache. Admittedly I have less than great teeth and have always been a little frightened of the dentist. I was absolutely surprised at the professionalism of Dr. Anderson and his whole staff. He and his staff really made me feel at ease. No shaming, judgment or lecturing which is vital to get people to actually go to the dentist. After the initial visit I had relatively no pain by the morning. Today was my follow up visit to get that tooth refilled and left the office with no pain and very little through the procedure. His staff were great in the handling of the insurance and very thorough with the information they relayed to me. I have no problem driving from out of town to visit this dentist. Dr. Anderson and his staff are highly recommended to those needing a good dentist. *Staff also laminated my paper insurance "card" for me.*

This has to be the first time in my life that I was not nervous being at the dentist. From the moment you walk in you feel completely at ease with the decor and the vibe in the waiting area. I was welcomed in such a friendly and helpful manner with the front desk staff! Dr. Anderson is a very kind natured dentist that really took his time with me to explain what was going on. I felt like I was an old family friend to someone I had just met. I highly recommend!!!!!

Sometimes Dr. Anderson is the one that meets you at the door. And at that time you are the most important person in his life. And the staff is the same. Sometimes you think you are part of the staff. My husband and I are new patients and were so impressed with our hygienist Christi, as well as, Dr Anderson. Christi was very pleasant, gentle, efficient, and has a great personality. Dr Anderson was super nice, and unlike some dentist, took time to thoroughly examine our teeth and dental needs. We would definitely highly recommend Anderson Dental!!

I just had a 'long-overdo' appointment for cleaning & X-rays of my teeth. Sandy was just Wonderful!!! She went out of her way to make me feel comfortable while cleaning my teeth and taking the X-rays. I had alot of plaque on my teeth. She never hurt me at all while removing it. Very patient and knowledgeable. I hope I can request her again for my next cleaning.
