Dr. Dane first decided to practice dentistry while in college at Walla Walla University here in Washington. He was in the process of obtaining his Bachelors degree in Business Administration and working on minoring in both biology and chemistry when his eyes were opened to the great benefits dentistry can provide.
After he had graduated Walla Walla University, Dr. Andersen went to Loma Linda University School of Dentistry in Southern California to obtain his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. There he received a prosthodontic scholarship and was selected to go to Chicago for a prosthodontic meeting based upon his work in removable dentistry.
Loma Linda University also provided Dr. Andersen with the opportunity to be a part of several mission trips that took him to Africa, Nicaragua, and more locally Los Angeles. Those experiences made clear the tremendous global need for dental care and dental education in developing nations. So much of what dentists do involves small-scale procedures, making it easy to pack up the essentials and go anywhere to provide quality dentistry. This was one of the major ideas that made dental care appealing to Dr. Andersen.
These trips also made clear the fundamental skill needed by every doctor dentist or otherwise. That is the ability to instill trust in ones patients. Dr. Andersen found that being a skilled dentist isnt enough to help people make decisions about their oral health. His inherent care and empathy served him well during these missions and continue to serve him and his patients today.
Dr. Andersen and his wife Kelli, have a 7 year old daughter, Holland, and a 5 year old son, Bjorn. Their children are endless sources of joywith endless sources of energy. The Andersens love being parents and strive to instill the importance of integrity into their children.
Before finally settling down in Vancouver, the Andersen family lived in Grand Rapids, MI for four years. While in Grand Rapids, Kelli completed her OB/GYN residency and Dr. Andersen worked as an associate dentist.
Although they loved Grand Rapids and the great people there, it was not hard to leave the winters and snow blower behind. Kellis family is located in Southern California while Dr. Andersens family is in the Seattle area and British Columbia. The Andersen family is happy to live closer to their extended family and now have more opportunity to visit without pesky time changes or long plane rides. When not working, the Andersens enjoy getting outside with the kids, going on hikes, riding bikes, gardening, cooking, tennis, and amateur photography.

Dr. Anderson and all the staff are amazing! I do not like going to the dentist and have avoided going for a couple years. I'm glad I found Dr. Anderson after we moved to the area.

I can't say enough good things about Andersen Dental. I feel cared for, and treated exceptionally. I had a weird response to Covid in June that left me with horrible bleeding gums for months. My hygienist was so thorough, identified the issue, and in days I was better. Dr A knew from my chart before he saw me that something big was amiss. No judgement (I've never had teeth issues) and I was in and out in an hour with appointments for my kids, who Jill, while on the phone, redirected the new assistant to their charts by first name. Hands down best care I've received.

Everyone in the office is friendly and welcoming. I am always greeted by name when I arrive and am treated with respect and made to feel comfortable. Services received by all staff have always been above and beyond. I highly recommend if you want a clean, professional and friendly dentist office!

I absolutely enjoyed my visit with dr Anderson & the dental hygienist in the back. However.. the lady in the front, Jill is very unwelcoming towards my family. She's the first face we see and it ruined my experience at Dr Anderson's office. She also charged me for someone else's billing but because we had the same last name thought it was okay. And asked what I wanted her to do about that...

Our dentist sold his practice and moved away so it was time to find a new dentist. I always check reviews. The reviews did not steer me wrong. The initial appointment took awhile to schedule but when my wife broke a tooth while out of the country, Jill, at the front desk, immediately got her an appointment. Dr. Andersen and hygienists, Taylor and Kelly, were fantastic. The office has state of the art technology and my wife and I left the office knowing we had found the right replacement for our previous dentist.

Wonderful, professional people! From Jill at the front desk to Dr. Dane Andersen himself, everyone is very helpful in understanding the state of dental health and where I needed to go. They even checked on things afterwards when I had pain and took their lunch time to do so which I greatly appreciate. I cannot say enough positive about this experience. From the confident direct approach to understanding what I needed to the explanation of charges and insurance, all very helpful. The dental cleaning I received was virtually painless as well such wonderful helpful people! Keep up the great work!

I have seen Dr. Andersen for a few years now and every single treatment/exam has been a wonderful experience. He has been so patient and kind every single time I needed to talk through my treatment plan or any other issues. He is very detail oriented and won't send you off on your way until you are absolutely in love with the work that he has done. Every member of his staff has been so welcoming and professional. It is so great to feel like you are in such great hands every time you go to the dentist.
