Its hard to believe its been almost 16 years since I stepped off a plane at the Anchorage airport and immediately saw Dr. Michael Darlings giant polar bear in the old Alaska Airlines terminal. Little did I know that I would soon meet Michael and Lucy Darling and go on to work with them for over a decade.Now that the Darlings are enjoying a well-earned retirement, I am excited to be at Anchorage Dental Group.
I grew up in Northern California where I spent most of my life on the Sacramento River enjoying the sunshine and boating. After high school I went to Shasta College in Redding California and graduated in 2002 from the dental hygiene program. I met my husband in college, we married and moved down to San Diego for him to finish out his time in the Marine Corps. After living in San Diego for several years we moved to Texas for my husband to go to school. We moved to Alaska in 2015 for my husbands job and really enjoy outdoors here. We love to hunt, fish, camping and hiking. We have three kids ages 16, 15 & 12 and we have three dogs.
Born and raised Alaskan she graduated from Service high school. She has been in the dentistry field for over 20 years! She took classes at UAA to pursue dental hygiene and graduated with magna cum laude honors in 2006. Her dental hygiene career began at The Darling Dental group until Dr. Darling retired in 2015. Stacy worked at Artic Family Dental until the practice merged with Anchorage Dental Group. One of Stacys favorite things is seeing her long time patients and meeting new ones that come to ADG. She strives to be thorough and puts her patient care first. She will always treat each patient individually and cater towards their needs.
Outside of hygiene, Stacy has another career as a horseback riding instructor and horse trainer. Her students compete in the show ring and she is also very active in the horse show community. Her husband is a captain at the fire department and they have two amazing daughters. Her oldest daughter is a dental assistant in town and her youngest is a sophomore in high school.
Stacy is well known among her patients for being thorough, yet gentle in her treatment. Whether you need a deep cleaning (scaling and root planing), a pre-radiation/chemo/surgery cleaning or simply a prophy (standard cleaning) you are in good hands with Stacy!
My name is Deborah English and I did my dental schooling in Portland Oregon where I became EFODA/EFDA certified. I have been in dental 11 years. I am the lead assistant here at Anchorage Dental Group and I love it. I have 3 children which I raised in SE Alaska one in the Marines, one in the Air Force and my oldest lives in Pa raising 4 beautiful children. When I am not at work I love to run with my 2 dogs and hike these beautiful mountains here in Alaska.
Michan is a certified dental assistant graduate of UAA, and has worked in dentistry for over 15 years in Alaska. She and her husband are the proud parents of 3 young adults. A born and raised Alaskan, Michan enjoys playing softball, winter and summer camping, as well bbqing with family and friends. With each patient, Michan strives to make a positive difference in their day and she finds great fulfillment in creating a safe and caring environment for all her dental patients as well as her fellow team members. To Michan, the best part of dentistry is giving a patient their smile back.
Chelsey grew up in rural Arizona and later relocated to Alaska due to her husbands military transfer. She loves all things plants and dogs, and has a black Labrador Retriever, Italian Greyhound, and a Jack Russell that she adores. In her free time, she loves exploring and being outside in Alaska.

The staff here is absolutely amazing. I came in as an emergency walk-in and they did everything in their power to keep me comfortable and calm. I couldn't be more thankful.

I moved my whole family away from this practice. I was frustrated over my time not being valued, and being over charged. I would schedule an appointment for two-fillings for my son, but due to their poor scheduling practices they would only do one. And I had to bring him in again. This happened several times. I also attempted several times to schedule wisdom teeth removal and asking for a treatment plan...I called several times. Each time someone was suppose to call me back; which never occurred. Even standing at the counter, a message was left for someone to call me. The icing on the cake was when I switched insurances who actually sent me the explanation of benefits only to find out that I was over charged for years without noticing. I decided at that point to move practices. I received a partial refund after months of going back and forth with them. The only reason we are not in court is because it would cost more then the pending refund. The people are nice but that is not enough to outweigh everything else.

Anchorage Dental Group's owner has refused to refund a $1000 deposit that I paid on September 24, 2020 for a dental implant to be performed by James Hyer DDS. Shortly thereafter Dr. Hyer retired. In the year and a half since then they have not hired a practitioner who is able to perform the surgery. Despite repeated attempts to receive a refund I am told various reasons why they just can't get around to it. For example the office manager is not authorized, or the owner has to approve it, or they have to check the records, etc. This is been going on for months. In my opinion it is unethical and unprofessional to take a patients money for a particular service, then fail to provide the service, and then fail to address the return of the deposit.

One of the best dental hygienist I have ever had. I am very picky about my hygienist and dentist. Dr. Massey is a great dentist. The handful of staff members I have met are very nice, no complaints.

I cannot thank this office enough for their professional and kind demeanour and true compassion. The entire staff is amazing and the doctor is so intelligent and knowledable about dentistry. I have never been to a medical or dental office this exceptional. In years past, I was treated terribly at BTYW clinic, a secondary office associated to them, and then a very awful experience (s) at ALCAN. I was left with bad memories and apprehension all together to finding another dental provider. I was actually scared to even go to Anchorage Dental the day of my first appointment and was instantly made to feel safe and the ladies at the desk were so nice and sweet. As well, the hygienist and everyone. My doctor (dentist) addressed the concerns and did what all these other places failed to provide in the past 2 years. He was so on mark and did not mess around. I almost cried going home because I was finally validated that it was not me or my imagination that the former care I had received before coming here, was in fact horrible. I want to thank Anchorage Dental Group for restoring my faith in dentistry and for helping me get fixed what the other places did not address properly. I will refer only them to friends, family and the community in the future. You will not regret coming here. My gratitude is deep and again, thank you Anchorage Dental Group.
