Raised in Sugar Land, TX, Dr. Melissa Wendt had a passion for teeth and wellness early on. Suffering from a cross-bite, severe crowding, and speech problems, she started early intervention orthodontic treatment at the age of 6. Knowing how much of an impact that treatment had on herself, she wanted to be able to do the same for someone else. Rooted in this passion, she pursued her undergraduate education at Baylor University. Dr. Wendt continued her love of learning at the University of Texas Dental School, where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. She is the proud owner of Anchor Dental in Katy, TX and is a standing member of numerous Dental Associations. She is dedicated to the lifelong learning of the newest, safest, and most innovative dental services available and has hundreds of hours of continuing education post dental school. Dr. Wendt loves working with kids, so rest assured you and your child are in great and gentle hands!
When Dr. Wendt is not practicing her passion for dentistry, she enjoys gardening and landscaping, scuba diving, reading, being outdoors, spending time at the beach with her husband, and being wrapped around her two daughters little fingers.
Dr. Time Brune is a native Houstonian and graduated from Marquette Dental School in Milwaukee in 1976. Dr. Brune completed his residency at the Houston Medical Center in 1977 and attained Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1992. He maintains active memberships in the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Texas Dental Association and Houston District Dental Association.
Esmeralda is a native Texan who has been in the dental field for over 10 years. She is a graduate of the Texas State Technical College in Harlingen, TX where she started as a dental assistant and quickly became passionate about dentistry. Her passion inspired her to further her education by becoming a Dental Hygienist in 2012.Esmeralda is passionate about dental health and also loves to give back to the community through volunteer dentistry. She spends a lot of time with patients to educate and encourage them to maintain good periodontal health. Patients appreciate her gentle and compassionate bedside manner.
Narjara was born in Cuba and grew up on music, love, and family. Over a decade ago, she was blessed with the opportunity to become a US citizen, which has allowed a better life for her family. She values time spent with her daughters, husband, and friends. She enjoys going to dinner and movies.
I believe in hard work and integrity. I have a passion for dentistry, and am always finding new ways to help my patients. I am fluent in Spanish, which will ensure better communication if need be. I look forward to assisting you soon!
Shelby is originally from Oklahoma and grew up all over the state of Texas. When she is not working, she enjoys shopping and hanging out with friends. She has a son and a daughter that mean the world to her. She also loves to travel and meet new people.

Had my first root canal with Dr.Wendt. Best experience ever. No pain no discomfort. No one believes me I had such a great experience. Lol The staff is fabulous as well. So glad I found a great dentist near by.

I switched dentists last year, to Anchor, and I am glad I did. Office is clean and modern. Staff is friendly and professional. Have had cleanings and fillings and I couldn't be more pleased with the my care.

Dr. Wendt and her staff are so nice, thorough and do a great job. I was told a lot of different things of treatments I needed by past dentists, but Anchor Dental really got me on the correct path to getting my teeth/gum issues taken care of (and not trying to scare me!) They are so great that my whole family goes here to have their dental work done.

This place really is a great dentistry, I hate going, but that's just because I hate dentists, so nothing bad about them. I give it 4 stars because they are sometimes a little harsh with words, more like straight forward. And also because they are sometimes rough when flossing, I know it's because they have to go all the way in, but one time it felt like they did it with a blade and it hurt-but that was because I had gingivitis so my gums were sensitive. Dentists are funny when you need extra shots of numbing stuff, one time I had to get my tooth filled and another pulled, and since cold water made my tooth hurt, she had to keep giving me the shots so I wouldn't be in pain. So nice. They also let you pick a show/movie when you're about to be worked on so that it's not "scary". I love this dentist, I just don't like dentists in general, but they do help!! 4/5 stars~

I have been a patient at Anchor Dental for a few years now and very happy with the care and attention to detail given by the staff.. My hygenist, Ismarelda does a fantastic job cleaning my teeth every 4 months. Shelby does a great job with the billing side. Dr. Wendt is very friendly and fills me in on any issues I have with my teeth. I highly recommend them!

Such a wonderful staff! Had to have major dental work (eek) but they made me feel very comfortable and everyone was so nice and helpful. Definitely found my new dentist for further visits!

My mom was going to leave a comment on here till I asked her to delete it but basically it was about our awful experience here with Dr Wendt. And I wish I never deleted her comment. She is the best mother and was very descriptive of the pain I was in and how I was scared to return to the dentist based on bad experience with fillings that had to be done repeatedly because they would fall out as soon as I flossed or brushed, and my bite adjustment was off and still is. I just think her message mattered coming from my mom's point of view and you could really since her concerns for her me in her personal comment I deleted because I thought it was embarrassing at first now I know better that mom know best.
