Our goal is to enhance patient health and quality of life in the same warm, attentive, and professional manner we would extend to our own family. In essence, we try to extend our passion for dentistry to them.
As a Rhode Island native, Im thrilled to be practicing dentistry in Newport, says Dr. Nick Catallozzi. Megan and I have practiced in the Midwest and in Rhode Island for several years, and its no coincidence that we chose Newport - we love it here. With Anchor Dental, we have the privilege to provide unmatched patient care to our local community.
Anchor Dental is centrally located in Newport in the Long Wharf Mall. The team provides a variety of dental services, including cleanings, fillings, implants, crowns, dentures, root canals, extractions, Invisalign, periodontal treatment, and teeth whitening.
Our office is located on the second floor above the Shops. There is a glass door entrance to the Offices at Long Wharf where there are stairs and an elevator to the second floor. Please call us if you are having difficulties finding the office.

Just called and was told they are not accepting new patients. The two stars is for what happened next. When I suggested they update Cigna insurance about this (I was being nice, truly thought they would want to know they are listed as accepting new patients) the receptionist laughed and told me it was "insane to ask them to update all their insurance carriers".

Ive been spoiled by my company which offers four cleanings a year and Anchor Dental has been a blessing in my pursuit of dental nirvana. The staff is so friendly, accommodating, and professional. From cleaning, to filling replacement, to mouth guard fitting, it has been an awesome experience. Even though I moved off the island I still make the trip because it's always a good experience. For what it's worth, I love getting my teeth cleaned and have a high bar for dental work. This office and staff make the experience that much more enjoyable.

My first time going; I have severe medical trauma and they are so nice!! They explain everything and use kid friendly words, and voices. I am mentally stuck as a kid and they understand and makes me happy :I love how they show you the process and uses words like "sugar monsters" and are so nice!I Love them already.

By the far the best dentist I've ever been to! I've been to a few places in RI but this staff is the nicest and friendliest. On top of that Nick has done 2 surgeries on my mouth that were completely painless and super quick! I generally always have to be put to sleep. Highly recommend these people!

I love Anchor Dental, they are so friendly and accommodating. If you have dentist anxiety, this is the place for you. Alisha (Alyssa??) at the front desk is a gem. I literally look forward to making an appointment because I get to hear her friendly voice. This place has completely changed my mindset about going to the dentist so THANK YOU Anchor Dental!

Drs. Megan and Nick Catallozzi are skilled and experienced at their profession. Their entire staff are attentive, professional, proficient and courteous. I would certainly recommend both Drs. Catallozi and Anchor Dental for any dentistry needs.

Top notch dental work by Dr. Nick. 3 crowns were put in as part of implant process and no issues whatsoever.Excellent care and meticulous process throughout. Very professional.He was assisted by Denise who provided comfort throughout. Front office was friendly and helpful with billings and insurance. A very good experience .

This is the best dentist I have ever taken my kids to! My son needs to have teeth pulled because his baby teeth just don't come out even when adult teeth are trying to come in. We are treated with respect, humor, and kindness. The dentist makes sure my son knows she will take care of him, and she pulls those teeth with the least amount of pain possible. I definitely recommend. You can tell they love their jobs and love to help people.

Excellent, clean, very COVID conscious. The cleaning was thorough and pain-free. The dentists are husband and wife. Both are super friendly and caring. Super pleased!

I had a cleaning done right before moving overseas. They squeezed me into their schedule but I had a problem with billing. Dr. Catallozzi called me himself to clear up the issue! They clearly go above and beyond for their patients.

I was in Newport on vacation and was in terrible tooth pain. After suffering all weekend long I called first thing Monday morning. Got their answering machine that said they were either with a patient or on the other line. I explained how I was feeling and what pain I was in and NEVER got a call back. I'm sure they provide good care but I would think they would have at least called me back. Called another dentist in town and they moved patients around, so that I can be seen. I ended up needing a root canal. Would not recommend this dental company.
