Dr. Deb Oldham has been practicing dentistry since 1992. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa and continued there for her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree. Well trained, she also completed a Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry in 2015. She later earned her Master's form the AGD in 2018. Committed to staying on the cutting-edge of the latest advancements in the field of dentistry, Dr. Oldham maintains memberships with the Academy of General Dentistry, Iowa Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association and the Linn County Dental Society.
Dr. Oldham has been involved with her local community. She has served as the president of the Anamosa Chamber of Commerce, the Anamosa High School Music Boosters, and the Anamosa Jaycees. She also served on the board of ed at St. Patrick school. She has been committed to serving her community and in 2020 earned the Anamosa Chamber of Commerce Presidential Award for her and her husband's community service.
Dr. Oldham is married to David, who works as our Office Manager. They have four children: Em, Abby, Alex and Jaden. During her free time, she enjoys scrapbooking and stamping. She is an avid reader, enjoys fishing and traveling.
Dr. Joslyn Slater attended Iowa State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree, before graduating from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008. She maintains memberships with such professional organizations as the American Dental Association, Iowa Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, District Dental Society, Linn County Dental Society and the Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity.
Dr. Slater greatly enjoys learning about dentistry, and can often be found taking a continuing education class in the area. She is currently pursuing a Masters Degree through the Academy of General Dentistry.

This place is amazing! The staff is extremely friendly and go beyond expectations to make you feel comfortable, welcome and appreciated. I'm one of those who waited so long for dental care and showed up with a mouth full of trouble. They didn't make me feel awful, instead they lifted me up with positive vibes and a plan to get me where I need to be. They had some rearrangements in their day so they offered to continue on to get my mouth healthy! I couldn't be more pleased with the experience I have had and now understand why my daughter has chosen this place as her only dental facility! We have a couple dental offices locally but I'll drive the miles for this kind of care! Thank you all so very much!!!!

We continue to have a great experience at the Anamosa Dental Associates with Dr Joslyn Slater and her care team. From the time you walk in the door and meet the receptionist to the Dental Hygienist and Dr Joslyn and an easy no hassle exit your experience is exceptional. I highly recommend you give this team a try. I would also suggest signing up and using their easy online website for pre-register filling out paperwork, making appointments, viewing your chart, and paying your bill.

Had the most amazing day today:) Grandsons first visit and Dr. DEB and Larissa amazing. Along with amazing caring staff. I may work here but have to say above the limits being on the other side of the chair. Barrett loved it and Cork, Bella. Marlene Franzen.

I would highly recommend Anamosa Dental! I have been going there for years and appreciate the kind and caring staff. They are very professional in their work as well as helpful with insurance and all the options if a procedure is necessary. I can't say enough positive things about Anamosa Dental so if anyone is looking for great dental care I highly recommend them!

I am not a fan of going to the dentist. It has always given me anxiety but I also want to take care of the one set of teeth I've been given. When my insurance changed this year, I had to find a new dentist ... and I'm so glad I was forced to change. We found Anamosa Dental Associates online, saw they had good reviews, and decided to schedule our appointments. (Myself and my 3 kids - ages 3-13) The dentist was running behind and the kids were starting to get antsy ... but once we got in there they were so friendly and accommodating! They apologized for the delay and had good reasons for being behind (not all days can run smoothly). The team worked together and did their best to get us in and out quickly while being efficient on our check ups. The dental assistant was so friendly and personable that she put me at ease throughout the whole process - talking to me about our families and our interests. It was like chatting with a friend while simultaneously getting my teeth checked out. I couldn't be happier that we had to make this switch and will stay with this practice as long as I possibly can! Thank you to the whole team at Anamosa Dental Associates. You've truly taken away some of my stress regarding dental appointments!

I have been going to Anamosa Dental for years now. I sent a message that I needed an appointment to have a tooth checked and a cleaning on Monday. They called and got me in on Thursday. Dr. Slater and her assistant are wonderful, personable, professional, and so kind. I have never been to a dentist before that I was not scared of, in so much pain, or wouldn't go back to before I found Dr. Slater at Anamosa Dental. I have recommended Anamosa Dental to everyone that I know who is looking for a dentist and that is now, including you.
