Dr. Don Mungcal is a native of the Los Angeles area and lovesserving his community with excellent dental care. Raised in San Fernando Valley, he completed undergrad studies at UCLAand then graduated with honors at the University of the Pacific Dental School in San Francisco. Following dental school he also served asan instructor at the USC Dental School.

Within a few short years, Dr. Mungcal established his ownprivate practice right in downtown Los Angeles. Years later, he opened Manhattan Beach Dental Solutions with the same purpose and quality of care. He has been honored as a Best Dentist in Downtown in Los Angeles Downtown Newsmultiple times (including another win in 2021)!

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Tara Mavadat always had a passion for Dentistry and is committed to helping patients achieve excellent oral health and beautiful, long-lasting smiles. She completed her undergraduate studies at The George Washington University in Washington DC. After, she moved to San Francisco where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at University of the Pacific Dugoni School of Dentistry. Dr. Mavadat focuses on comprehensive general dentistry with an emphasis on prevention. Her primary focus with every patient is not only to provide comfort and quality, but to assure an exceptional esthetic outcome.Outside of the office, Dr. Mavadat enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.

Dr. Gracie Castillo hails from Santa Cruz, California. Withsix years of practice in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Castillo enjoys educating her patients on the importance of obtaining optimal oral health. She challenges herself by learning new techniques and continuing her education with advanced training courses in restorative dentistry. She completed her degree in Biological Sciences at University of the Pacific. She attended dental school at Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington DC and then moved on to complete a 1 year residency at UCLA.

Lali was born and raised in the outskirts of Downtown LA. She has two dogs, Randy and Dobby Taco, a cat, Cinderella Tigresa and two turtles, Juana and Thomas. She also loves her parents, her brother and her two sisters.

She assisted the American Career College Los Angeles. She loves to read, listen and discover old songs which are new to her. Shes been part of our family here at Downtown Dental since November 2016 as one of our Dental Assistants. She enjoys the work she does and her biggest pay back from patients is seeing them leave our office with a big smile!
