Dr. Julie Buchanan-Tollefson Dr. Buchanan is the daughter of Dr. Jon Y. Moody. She was born in Lincoln, Nebraska and she grew up working as a dental assistant for her father in Holden, Utah where she graduated

Valedictorian of Millard High School. From there she attended Southern Utah University where she graduated with honors earning a bachelors degree in biology. Upon applying to dental school in 1999, Dr. Buchanan was chosen as one of only ten students to attend the prestigious Regional Dental Education Program (RDEP). This program allowed her to attend the University of Utah Medical School her freshman year. She then completed her remaining three years of dental education at Creighton University School of Dentistry located in Omaha, Nebraska. She also completed an externship in Maxillofacial Prosthodontics while in dental school.

Dr. Buchanan graduated from dental school and started practicing with her father in Saint George, Utah in 2003. She is a member of the Spear Education Faculty Club and is a Spear Study Club Leader in the area meaning she promotes the growth and education of local dentists. She also continues her dedication to extensive continuing education and the use of cutting-edge technology. This in conjunction with a new 2700 square foot state-of-the-art office that she built with her father in 2007 allows her to offer her patients unparalleled quality and professionalism in their care and treatment.

When not seeing patients, Dr. Buchanan enjoys photography, cooking, traveling and going to the movies. She lists Beauty and the Beast as her favorite movie. Her favorite food is anything Mexican and especially Street Tacos! When asked what she likes best about Apple A Day Family Dentistry, she says, my staff. I work with the best! Dr Buchanan resides in Washington fields with her two sons and husband.

Dr. Moody has been practicing dentistry for over twenty-five years. He was born in Payson, Utah and grew up in Delta, Utah. He developed an interest in dentistry while attending Southern Utah University (SUU). After graduating from SUU, he was then accepted and graduated from the dental school at the University of Nebraska, home of the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He is still an avid football fan Go Huskers!

His wife, Susan, and he then moved to Holden, Utah to raise their family and openthefirst Apple A Day Family Dentistry practice in Fillmore, Utah. Hopeful that he might someday be joined by his daughter, Dr. Moody opened a second An Apple A Day Family Dentistry location in St. George, Utah in 1997. In 2003, he welcomed his daughter back to St. George where they have been practicing together ever since.

Dr. Moody strives to be on the cutting edge of dentistry by attending continuing education programs offered through the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. He is excited to offer you the opportunity to experience the powerful combination of modern technology and an experienced touch.

In his spare time, Dr. Moody enjoys fishing, gardening, camping, and being with his grandkids. His favorite movie is The Quiet Man with John Wayne and Maureen OHara. He also lists Thanksgiving Dinner as his favorite food and something unique about Dr. Moody is that he comes from a family of 11 children where he has seven brothers and three sisters.

Jennifer Office Manager Jennifer was born in West Valley City, Utah. She loves being with her family. They love the outdoors, boating, kayaking, hiking and being together. Jen loves to watch her kids play sports, painting, playing tennis and going to the movies. Her favorite foods are pizza and tacos, she loves the Marvel movies and her favorite season is Summer. Jen started dental assisting in 2004, she received her certification here in Saint George. Jen joined our team in 2015 as the Office Manager.

Brittnee- Front Office/Insurance Coordinator Brittnee was born in Ogden, Utah. She grew up playing and watching sports like softball, golf and soccer. She moved to Saint George with her family; Randy, Luke, Hudson and Camden in 2013. As a family they love going to the movies, hiking, watching sports especially the Utah Utes, Disneyland, going to the Angels games, swimming and being outside. She has been a part of the Apple a Day family since 2015. Brittnee loves baking, cooking and crafting. Her favorite food is anything that has potatoes in it, her favorite color is pink and her favorite movie is How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.

Natalie Beckstrom R. D. H. B. S. Natalie is one of our wonderful hygienists. She is proud to say she grew up right here in St. George, Utah. She graduated from Dixie High School and Dixie State University. She then went on to attend University of Nebraska there she earned her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been a part of our staff for 10 years and has worked in the dental field for 22 years. Natalie enjoys traveling, reading, listening to music and spending time with her family. When not working, she enjoys being a mom and supporting her four busy kids. She says she is lucky to work at Apple a Day Family Dentistry because she gets to enjoy a beautiful view of the city as she works alongside a fun, hardworking, caring staff.

Caitlin Neumann R.D.H. Caitlin is one of our Registered Dental Hygienists. She was born in Salt Lake City, UT and has lived in St George since 2006. She has been with us at An Apple A Day Family Dentistry since 2008, originally as an assistant before completing her dental hygiene degree. She loves meeting new people and loves spending time getting to know them. Caitlin and her husband, Cade, have been married since 2009 and have three children. She loves crafting and watching movies in her spare time. Her favorite movie is Father of the Bride and she loves to eat any kind of pasta!

Kjerstn LaFontaine R.D.H. Kjerstn was born in Jacksonville, Florida and has lived in St. George for the past 17 years. When not working, Kjerstn enjoys spending time outdoors; boating and hiking, as well as traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Her favorite food is Chinese and Italian. Kjerstn graduated from Snow Canyon High and Dixie State University, where she then earned her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene.

Cristal-Treatment Coordinator Cristal was born is Santa Barbara, California and moved to St. George when she was 12 years old. Cristal has been a dental assistant since 2008. She joined An Apple A Day Family Dentistry in June 2015. She holds a certification in CPR and Dental Radiology. She is also bilingual and is a tremendous help with our Spanish speaking patients. Cristal has been married for 12 years and has 3 children, Carlos who is 11 years old, Seslie who is 6 years old and Sariah is 17 months. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.

Ana- Treatment Coordinator Ana was born and raised in St.George Utah, but she loves to visit her family in Ensenada, Mexico. On her free time, she enjoys playing the piano and the organ. Ana is always looking for opportunities to help others and is constantly in search of new adventures and experiences. She hopes to someday become a dental hygienist and build a future doing what she loves most, smiles!
