Dr. Zena Alshukri, originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan, received her dental degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2010. After practicing in Detroit for a number of years, she decided to move to Arizona to be closer to family. She joined An Amazing Smile, PLLC in 2013 and became an owner in 2016. She is passionate about cosmetic dentistry and furthered her education in Invisalign treatment, braces, crowns and bridges, and veneers. She loves to see her patients smile with confidence by giving them the looks they desire. Dr. Alshukris practice philosophy is to provide top notch dental care while at the same time keeping her patients comfortable and at ease.
She actively attends continuing education courses to stay up to date with clinical techniques and modern technologies. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Alshukri enjoys traveling, dining out, going to the movies and working out. Her favorite food is Japanese food. Her favorite TV show is The Office, and her favorite book is The Power of Your Subconscious Mind.
Brianna graduated from East Valley Institute of Technology with a degree in photography and joined our team in May 2021. She loves how friendly and welcoming everyone at our office is, both to our patients and to their teammates, and she enjoys providing genuine care to our patients, establishing our practice as a trustworthy part of their lives. With over eight years of experience in costumer service, you can rely on Brianna to help whenever needed.
Carolina has been a part of the An Amazing Smile, PLLC team since May 2021 but has over 21 years of experience in the dental field. She is certified in Dentrix and loves establishing relationships with our patients, providing great customer services while helping patients maximize and understand their dental benefits.
Carolina has been married for 25 years, and she has two beautiful daughters and two handsome boys. When she gets the time, she enjoys camping, listening to music, doing wordsearch puzzles, and going out of her way to help family and friends when needed.
Tammy received her degree in dental hygiene from Mohave Community College in 2016 and joined our team in June 2020. She loves her career as a dental hygienist, and it shows in how well she helps patients improve their oral health, which in turn improves their whole-body health. She enjoys getting to know her patients personally the best part of her job!
Tammy has four great children: three boys and one girl. She is also a grandma to two boys and one girl. Her hobbies include hiking, kayaking and rock climbing anything outdoors is such a thrill for her! She also enjoys playing classical pieces on the piano.
Vittoria received her dental assistant certificate, including training in dental assisting technologies, in 2014. She completed training for coronal polish in 2015 at the University of Chicago and training in expanded functions in 2020 from Rio Salado. She joined our team in June 2020 and keeps things organized and running smoothly for all of us, and as an EFDA, she is a great help to our dentist. She loves the endless possibilities of growth at this practice and feels our dentist and team are great teachers.

I had previously been to a dentist with whom I had a horrible and sort of traumatizing experience with. As a result I spent years terrified to go back to any dentist for any reason, even though I knew I really should have, and needed to. Then there is the financial aspect, as a mother of four, I was more worried about making sure my kids went when they needed rather than paying to fix my own teeth. I just put my own needs on the back burner but was sure to teach my kids better habits than I had been taught, and paid top dollar for them to see good dentists, unlike the "discount/budget" one I once saw and really caused me to be terrified to ever go back to one again. Then as years passed, even though I knew I needed to go, I put it off even longer because I was then at a point where I was so insecure and embarrassed about my teeth, I was scared and nervous that I would be shamed or made to feel even further embarrassed about the condition of my teeth, and that I had let them get that bad. Finally, after having a piece of tooth/nerve root left behind from a past extraction, as well as a filling pressing on a nerve, the level of excruciating pain I was no longer something I could ignore or put off. I am talking about a deep, throbbing, sharp and shooting pain that was radiating down my entire jaw line to the point ibuprofen wouldn't even touch it, and I thought pulling it out myself would be less painful. I happened to meet Dr.Zena at my kids school, she was another parent, and she mentioned she was a dentist. She was very kind and warm and I immediately got a good vibe from her so I asked if she only did pediatric dentistry and told her I REALLY needed a dentist. She said that she did adults and gave me her office information to call and make an appointment. I met her at exactly the right time because I was in so much pain, and her office staff got me in within a day. I had X-rays, she figured out what the cause of my pain was and able to partially treat me that day so that I didn't spend the next month in pain while waiting for an appointment for a root canal. She was kind, gentle, made sure I wasn't feeling anxious and terrified while drilling out an old filling that was pressing on a nerve. Her office staff was also amazing! Answered all my (I'm sure annoying) 101 questions and set up a payment plan and worked with me so I can get the work I need done on a plan I can afford and got me out of excruciating pain while I waited for the surgery appointment (to remove the old root nerve). As someone who previously had been terrified to see a dentist I can say I no longer am, and thankfully no longer feel like pulling out my own tooth from the pain. I cannot recommend Dr.Zena enough. Amazing experience and I am no longer in pain.

I had an amazing experience. Everyone was so kind and definitely made the visit feel a lot more relaxing. Dental Assistant Maria was amazing at updating me through each step and what was happening next at each moment. Dr. Zena explained the work needed without making anything feel overwhelming, or causing panic. Definitely my new Dentist.

Came in with decaying teeth caused by wisdom tooth. I was anxious and unsure about the whole procedure, but the staff was very friendly. They make sure I understand the treatment plan, guiding through step by step of the procedure and what to expect. They go above and beyond to help me with dealing with my oral conditions, making sure I'm doing good and comfortable throughout the procedure. I came out there feeling painless and at ease with more self confidence.

I was in a near death accident and broke my face and teeth in 2011. I spent an entire year having 12 dental surgeries and have had horrible ptsd ever since. Dr Zena and her team at An Amazing Smile were so compassionate and gentle with me. I felt understood and cared for, other dental offices have made me feel I was burden or dramatic. Dr. Zena went out of her way to get me into a specialist when I had a bad infection and needed an extraction and implant to remove my front tooth. The entire office called around locally for hours to get me in somewhere and went above and beyond to find me a surgeon. And when I cried, they gave me supportive hugs instead of cold blank stares like other places. I'm a tough cookie but trauma is real and they understand. I highly recommend Dr Zena and her entire office wholeheartedly. I'm actually looking forward to seeing them again as we repair my smile with veneers.
