Dr. Carrico graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry in 2002. Having gained extensive hands-on training from the masters in cosmetic dentistry, she has focused on providing for her patients with the most advanced techniques. Dr. Carrico has a passion for creating beautiful smiles, whether it is a simple procedure such as tooth whitening, replacing worn, discolored fillings, or performing a smile makeover with crowns and veneers.
I came to Owensboro with my husband, Dr. Matheis Carrico, an Owensboro native and 1994 graduate of Owensboro Catholic High School, in 2005. I have continued my hands on dental education through theHornbrook Group and the Spear Study Club, cutting edge groups of master cosmetic dentists. Some of the courses I have completed include:

We had a great first cleaning for my son. The entire visit was a pleasure, but their excellent service started from my first call to schedule. Customer service and patient experience is important to them and it shows in every team member we encountered. I recommend them and will be bringing my whole family here.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO AMY!!!!!!!! She supposedly has kids of her own but was completely inconsiderate of my 4 year old daughter. We had to bring her in to get a couple of cavities filled and had to be put under via gas. During the whole time, Amy Carrico kept demanding at my daughter to stay still and even tried to shut her mouth with her hand so she could breathe the gas in (she's is only 4). My child was so traumatized and Carrico didn't even seem to care. Amy was so frustrated and she basically quit the procedure. Maybe if she had any kind of communication skills with children, this wouldn't have been a nightmarish experience. Our family will find another dentist, one who knows how to treat all age levels of a family.

I love this place. As I am a little hypochondriac. They seem to handle me well. Always nice. Always clean. Always professional. New equipment. Up to date. Nice atmosphere . I'm not the easiest to get along with. But Dr.Carrico is able to adapt on the fly. She is a great person. My wife Sherri our children Justin and Ruby all agree. We would all recommend Dr. Carrico.

Wonderful atmosphere and the friendliest staff! I took my 5 year old (scared to death of a dentist) son there and he had the best experience I could have ever asked for, at their office! My child naturally feared doctors and dentists and the word fear doesn't truly describe how terrified he is but Dr. Amy Carrico and her entire office was the sweetest, most considerate, mommy's touch staff and since the visit my son has asked hourly if we can go back to the dentist! Its unbelievable what that one office visit done for this kid and I'm so grateful. Highly recommend Dr. Amy Carrico. If anyone from the office reads this, we are so grateful for each of ya'll for the care and treatment you each provided and Bryson can't wait to see all of ya'll again

Overall a very nice, clean environment. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Carrico is thorough and does amazing work. The only negative experience I had (out of the numerous times I visited) was that I had to wait 30 minutes past my appointment time with zero communication from staff. I asked the receptionist for an update and she said she would check and when I was brought back, Dr. Carrico was almost confrontational that I was upset about the wait. Going to the dentist is already an anxiety inducing experience for me, even if I trust my dentist, so waiting that long without any communication was not a pleasant experience. Other than that, I've been extremely satisfied with my experience in her office.

Teeth are important, and so is the care that goes into them, and wow - Amy Carrico and her staff hit a home run. Teeth cleaning and check ups can be intimidating, but the Friendly, Kind, Genuine, and Knowledgeable staff make you feel right at home. 10/10 would recommend! Thank you ladies for an amazing experience.
