Amherst Orthodontics - Orthodontist in Amherst, NH

I am a native Virginian, and am the oldest of four girls. Growing up, I played the piano and enjoyed team sports like field hockey and lacrosse. When it was time for college, though, I came to New England and never left.

I was fortunate to attend Wellesley College, where I double-majored in Biology and Art History. From there, I graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine with my dental degree. I completed my orthodontic training and received my Masters in Medical Sciences at Harvard Universitys School of Dental Medicine. Over these 11 years of schooling, I was the recipient of numerous distinction and awards, a leader of my class, and graduated with highest honors all along the way.

The best part of being an orthodontist is the transformation: watching kids grow up into young adults, and working with a team to finish complex cases. My most favorite part of orthodontics is having relationships with families that grow over time.

Conservative philosophy. This means that you will only be given treatment recommendations when it is clear that there is real benefit. Your long-term dental health and function dictate my recommendations.

Timing is everything. I am unique among my peers in that I believe in starting full treatment later to keep your treatment times shorter. The benefits to shorter treatment are a more motivated patient, less time making sacrifices in your routines, and healthier mouths.

Dedicated student. My commitment to professional development means that I stay current with the best I can offer you and your family. To this end, I continue to be an avid student attending as many continuing education courses as I can. I also lead and participate in several local and regional study clubs where I learn with your dentists and other specialists, and orthodontists from other areas.

  • It is my honor to be the orthodontic office of choice for countless dentists, physicians, their families, and their staffs. My office has also held the distinction of being named Top Orthodontist every year in NH Magazines Best Dentist issue.
  • You can trust me to make treatment recommendations designed to improve long-term dental health, to strengthen the bite, and to improve self-esteem and confidence. This also means that if treatment isnt necessary, I have the integrity to let you know. Your treatment options are devised as though you were family.
  • Being a mom means that I understand kids. I love watching kids grow up and am grateful that your family allows me the privilege to be a part of their growing up! Braces are not just a rite of passage.
  • I care about your comfort. In addition to Invisalign, our small-profile steel braces minimize discomfort, and maximize your treatment efficiency. Ceramic/clear braces are also an excellent cosmetic alternative so you can feel more confident in treatment.
  • I enjoy every opportunity to say Thanks to my patients by sponsoring their organizations, charities, and activities. Some of my proudest affiliations are with the Souhegan Valley Boys and Girls Club, and SHARE of Milford. To submit a request for sponsorship, please contact Michelle at (603)-672-0844.
  • Successful treatment depends on teamwork between my office, you, your dentist, and other dental providers who care for you. All members of this team are given letters that summarize our findings and recommendations, along with routine updates to ensure your road to great dental health is well coordinated.
  • For many patients, coming to my office is their first experience in orthodontics. Your initial exam and observation visits are complimentary so you can focus on learning more about the benefits of any treatment recommendations.
  • Dental health is important. I lecture routinely at local dental offices, graduating hygiene students at the NH Technical Institute, teach students at local schools proper home healthcare, and am proud to teach and award the Boy Scout Merit Badge in Dentistry.
