Welcome to Amherst Family Dentistry. We are a husband and wife team taking a modern approach to the concept of the family dentist. Our treatment philosophy is to provide a welcoming environment, comfortable and comprehensive care, with a little fun along the way! We want to welcome you into our family, and become your dental home for years to come.
We know that not every mouth is created equal, what may be right for one person is not right for everyone. We will work with you to make a unique dental health plan that fits your needs and wants. Our goal is to get you healthy while allowing you to achieve the smile youve always wanted.
Dr. Alan Booth was born and raised in Concord, Ohio. He attended Notre Dame Cathedral Latin for high school where he competed in wrestling and football. Dr. Booth attended The Ohio State University for both undergrad and dental school. Dr. Booth is proficient in root canals and extractions, meaning you can stay in office for most of your care. Dr. Booth enjoys taking their Saint Bernard for long walks, has an affinity for craft beer, and is always up for a weekend camping trip.
The pair met while in dental school and immediately bonded over their love for Cleveland sports and passion for travel. Not only do they enjoy traveling and exploring the world, but love to explore all that Cleveland has to offer. You will likely spot the Booths at an Indians game over the summer or trying out the many great restaurants and breweries the greater Cleveland area has to offer.
Dr. Katherine Koutsourelis-Booth was born and raised in Strongsville, Ohio but her parents have since moved to Catawba Island and the family has fully embraced the lake life. Just like Dr. Booth, she attended The Ohio State University for both undergrad and dental school, making them both 100% Buckeye! Dr. Katherine has advanced training and interest in Invisalign and veneers, allowing you to achieve the smile you deserve.
The Booths were married in June of 2017 and welcomed twin girls in August of 2019. When she isnt busy chasing around the twins, she enjoys catching up with her favorite tv shows or playing her Nintendo Switch.

I couldn't recommend this place more. Everyone is friendly and it's always a job well done. They always are right on time or early for any appointments, and I never feel pressured for anything. They take great care of you here, highly recommend

Just left the dentist with a big smile on my face! Dr. "Tooth" Booth and his team are the greatest! When they are not busy tag-teaming your dental health, it's just like hanging out with old friends! Everyone has such a great sense of humor and they are all so personable and friendly! Rebecca is so gentle and kind... Even if she has to remind me a dozen times to turn my head toward her, it's always with the same sweet tender voice . I will always ask for her for my cleanings! And Caitlyn (sorry if I misspelled your name!) Is a rockstar with that water gun! She and Dr. Booth make a great team for fillings! Thanks Dr. Booth for that last minute vanishing of that old ugly spot on my tooth! I feel so much more confident now! These guys are the best!!! I'll never go to another dental practice again! I love it here! They also take Care Credit so that is super helpful with budgeting! I highly recommend them! See for yourself!

Dr. Katherine and her team did an AMAZING job with my Veneers. They look absolutely perfect and I couldn't be happier. They even adjusted their schedule to ensure I had my permanent set in just in time for vacation. Thank you so much again! Perfection!!

Had a tooth extracted. What an amazing job the dentist did!! On and out in 30 minutes! Took good care I felt nothing and explain the after care! Before I left the office made a cleaning appt for me and the hubby!! Thank you!!

I've had nothing but great experiences here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the dentist is very informative. He explains everything and goes into detail about your options. I love that he takes the time to answer my questions and allows me to think over my options.

By far the best dentist I have ever been too! No long waits, everyone is friendly, they really care about their patients! Best decision I have made for my oral health was switching to Amherst Family Dentistry! I would recommend them to anyone!

I highly recommend Amherst Family Dentistry everyone here was great! The hygienist who did my cleaning was so kind and diligent. Dr. K. Booth did my fillings and was amazing! She was very gentle and quick. I have never in my life had a dental experience where I felt comfortable and that changed today! You can tell the staff really care about you as well as your teeth!

The office staff was very kind and friendly. I would caution potential patients to carefully review the dentist's estimates for services and call your insurance company, if you have one, to verify what your true out-of-pocket costs will be. After receiving an estimate for a service, I called my insurance company and found that the dentist's office overestimated by 60%. To be on the safe side, I would recommend that you request a prior authorization before services are rendered. I have some missing teeth and asked the dentist for his recommendations to fill the gaps. He discussed implants, which would be nice, but the cost isn't in my budget. Rather than discuss any other options, he said the secretary would be right in with an estimate for another service I was considering and left the room. For anyone who needs a dentist that offers sedation, this office doesn't.

I went to Amherst Vision for the first time this morning. The entire staff was nice and helpful from start to finish. I was in and out without a wait. Allison did a wonderful job cleaning my teeth. Dr. Booth is very down to earth, friendly and knowledgable. I'll definitely be back in 6 months!

I had a root canal and it was a quick, painless procedure. Dr. Booth was personable and professional. Put me at ease since I was nervous. Staff is friendly and professional as well. Highly recommend. And cleanings are a breeze too! The Drs. Booth are a great team!
