When Dr. Chambers was a child, she remembers watching Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer often. Hermey the Elf, who wanted to be a dentist, was an inspiration to her after all, he saved Christmas! A few years later, she was in need of orthodontic treatment to correct her bite; the experience changed her smile for the better and gave her lots of newfound confidence. She became much more interested in dentistry once she realized how it could have such a long-lasting positive impact on someones state of mind. All these years later, she could not be happier with her decision to choose this for her lifelong career!
Dr. Chambers completed both her undergraduate degree and her Doctor of Dental Medicine at the University of Connecticut. Following graduation, she attended an AEGD program at Virginia Commonwealth University, studying under the direction of a prosthodontist. There, she learned about more advanced dental treatments and options for patients with complex needs.
Today, Dr. Chambers regularly pursues new continuing education opportunities whenever they arise. She has completed SPEAR courses in complex occlusion and treatment planning, the Center for Esthetic Excellences course in composite veneers, and numerous other lectures/trainings over the years. She loves constantly learning because it challenges her to think about dental care from new angles, as well as how to pair each unique patient with the right choice for their mouth. She is a current member of the following dental organizations:
Dr. Chamberss husband is an Army Veteran who served in Iraq on active duty. He now works at the Leeds VA and makes beautiful furniture pieces in his spare time. The third member of their family is Finian, a Golden Retriever. He is a very spoiled dog who regularly gets sent to doggy daycare in Northampton when theyre away from home, where he makes beautiful pawprint artwork.
When she isnt busy caring for patients, Dr. Chambers loves experiencing with photography both capturing digital images and collecting antique film cameras. Her other personal hobbies include hiking with her husband and dog (although the dog would much rather just cuddle), traveling, exploring new areas, oil painting, and cross stitching. She also loves dance and even trained as a ballerina in a combined Russian and French syllabus during her childhood years!
Dr. Arsen Bagdasarov graduated with honors from Boston University School of Dental Medicine in 2003, when he joined Amherst Dental Group. His special interests include endodontics, dental surgery, and cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Dr. Bagdasarov lives in Amherst with his three children. He is fluent in Russian, loves history and books, is a big fan of classical music and is a regular patron of art museums. He enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors and skydiving.
My own experience as a patient has greatly influenced my philosophy as a doctor. I always strive to achieve a collaborative relationship with my patient, while offering my compassion, care and respect.'

These people have the most arrogant and rude and racist intake person I've encountered in the valley. Used them in the past, followed their dentist when he left their practice to Enfield. Unfortunately he went back to New Zealand. I thought I'd try my luck again. Would NOT recommend! Beware if you have an accent!

Cannot say enough about this dental office! They are the absolute best! My whole family sees Joanne the hygienist. As for the wonderful doctors, some of us go to Dr. B and the rest go to Dr. C. Prices and fair and service is excellent.

I highly recommend Dr. Humphrey without any reservations. He is a most caring and sensitive dentist who is so very compassionate. My mom used to have panic attacks when she went to a dentist. Under his care, she has lost her fear and made me a believer. After watching her I have chosen him to be my new dentist. I am sure that he will show the same compassion and support. He is an amazing dentist and psychologist who has deep empathy for his patients.

Amherst Dental is fantastic! They have been our dentist for years. The staff is friendly and customer service oriented. The clinical staff is highly knowledgable, timely, and very professional. The two dentists we have seen through the years are skilled and thorough.

Highly recommend! I am a graduate student at UMass and I was reluctant to go to the dentist up until my last year of grad school (shame on me). I needed work to be done and the staff and dentist, Arsen Bagdasarov were wonderful. I had a couple of appointments with the dentist. I never felt like it was rushed and I appreciated that. I got 4 fillings and cleaning done over three appointments. I was here during the pandemic and felt like they had good protocols in place to keep the community safe. 10/10 recommend people to come here! :)

I always enjoy my visits to Amherst Dental Group. They provide a high level of professionalism and knowledge. Even during the pandemic I felt completely safe due to the extra measures they have taken to protect the patients and the staff. I highly recommend all the providers and staff in this practice!

Excellent treatment. The office was extremely Covid safe. The assistant was friendly and competent. Dr. B was thorough, careful, and explained his diagnosis and treatment plan clearly. I did not feel rushed, nor did I have to wait.

Doreen did a fantastic job of cleaning my teeth and also taking xrays. We have the next two appointments all set. I felt safe with your covid protocols and my teeth and gums feel good. Glad to hear that there have been no cases of covid at Amherst Dental either among staff or clients. I'll be back!

I have go e to Amherst Dental since its founding by Drs. Eisman and Stevens. Always professional and always gentle. I usually see Dr Perry, but find the entire staff pleasant and competent.

Do you need a Dentist? I told my dentist, Dr. Bagdasarov, that if I ever moved away from New England, I would still come back for him, and for the Amherst Dental Group courtesy. Once you get a visit with him at his Amherst Dental Group practice, you know you didn't get a dentist, you got an extended family. You get goodie bags, you get smiles, from behind the desk, you see pictures of family members decorating the walls! You feel home. I have been with Amherst Dental Group for over 10 years now. And prior to coming to the Amherst Dental Group, and having Dr. Bagdasarov work on my teeth, my teeth had gone through a lot of trauma. Work done improperly which led to tooth loss, prevented me from smiling, and from being myself. Dr. Bagdasarov corrected the issues resulting from the prior traumatic dental experiences, and gave me my beautiful full smile back! Thank you. I would come back from Brazil, if needed! Need a hygienist? I hold to my highest regards Stephanie who has helped me with my cleanings over the past (how many years Stephanie?). She is amazing. And even though, you may forget things about her, she will not forget things about you. She is kind, and always makes sure you are comfortable. Thank you Stephanie. And Jennifer! Stephanie was out, so Jen helped me last time. Some great talk we had. Did you get those books Jen? If Stephanie is out, ask for Jen! And I must not forget Joan! She is a mom! Cleaning your face, and making sure you don't feel silly, because there is that tiny little piece of mold, on the corner of your mouth. Thank you Joan. You are right.
