Dr. Cheney is a 1986 graduate of Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He grew up in Amesbury, and attended Amesbury schools. He attended St. Anselm College in Manchester, NH where he received his B.A. in Natural Science.
Upon graduation from Tufts, he opened his family practice in the Hamilton Gateway building. In 1992, he moved his office to its current location on Sparhawk St. My goal was to return to my hometown to open an office and to provide state of the art dental care to the community. I opened my office from scratch, without a single patient, and after 24 years, weve grown into the family practice Ive dreamed about.

I am currently undergoing a full mouth dental restoration in order to correct an over-bite. It was not a decision to be taken lightly, but from the first day I have been extremely happy. The porcelain veneers are perfect, natural, and while cosmetically a real "game-changer", surprisingly however, the very first thing I noticed was that my jaw and facial muscles felt so much better! Dr. George has patiently explained and executed each step with precision and artistry. His incredible assistant Kayleigh and he have made the five hour sessions fly by.....seriously who knew that spending that amount of time in a dentist chair could actually be comfortable and enjoyable?!!! I've got to admit that the time has given me a chance to experience a lot of different aspects of this dental practice. Everyone on staff is educated and trained to the highest standard. They enthusiastically embrace the very important role that each one plays and what first strikes you is how well they work together in complete harmony to ensure a friendly, thorough, compassionate, and seamless experience. The doctors are committed to continuing education and teaching. The new facility offers state of the art equipment and technology; an on-site lab; clean and bright waiting and examination rooms; excellent appointment management, business office, adherence to COVID protocols; and even their own hassle-free insurance plan - everything that one needs. I was really impressed! But it's truly the people that make this practice such a great addition to the Amesbury community. My husband has been equally pleased with his treatment under Dr. Brad. From routine care to the most challenging dental needs, this is a great practice for the entire family because it won't take you long to feel like you're right at home!

Fabulous!! My teeth needed work and I met with several dentists to discuss cosmetic work. I made an appointment with Dr George and I found him to be an excellent dentist and, after seeing pictures of his cosmetic work, I selected him to do my cosmetic work. Dr George is not only an excellent dentist but a real artist and wonderfully enthusiastic about his work. My teeth are now beautiful! Thank you, Dr George.

I've been a patient for 4 years and I did lots of research before switching, because like many people, I had a horrible experience with a previous dentist. I have to say, from visit one they've been awesome! I always had sensitivity and Dr.Brad got rid of years of pain with a simple fix and I haven't had a problem since! I recently saw Dr.George to re-do a cracked filling and I was not excited at all (anxious and terrified to be honest) but I can't believe I'm saying this, I'm looking forward to my next cracked filling! It feels so much better than before and my bite is perfect on that side now! I would schedule all my fillings to be redone if insurance would cover it Anyways, I highly recommend switching here if you're looking for a dentist that is cautious, honest and truly cares about their patients. I'm so thankful I found them & made the switch!

I cannot sing the praises of Amesbury Dental loud enough. I had had the same dentist and hygienist my whole life and when both recently retired I was pretty nervous to find a new dentist. Well it's sure looking like Amesbury Dental will be my dentist for the next 30 years if I am lucky! My hygienist, Lorri, was a rock start and explained everything that was going on with my teeth every step of the way (even breaking the news I needed two fillings) and was so gentle! Dr George and his assistant Katie were top tier and I am not nervous at all to head back in for my fillings. If your looking for a new dentist definitely get yourself in the door!

They are always on time. Incredibly accommodating. Exceptionally competent staff. Really nice people work here and they know how to treat others. I have absolute confidence in Dr. Fulkerson, Lisa, and Lori. I wouldn't consider any other practice.

I have been a patient at Amesbury Dental Associates for over 10 years and the staff is always courteous, appointments are on time and my dental hygienist, Joanne, is always "all smiles" and cheerful. They are very helpful taking the time to discuss ingredients of the products they use during the visit and for home care which is important to me as a vegan and a person with allergies and sensitivities. Recently had a filling fixed with Dr. George at their new location and it was a great experience. The new space is convenient, clean and modern and Dr. George puts patients at ease.

I would let Tom Hanks take an ice skate to my mouth before I went back to Amesbury Dental. The doctors themselves are okay, but not worth it with the customer service you get from everyone else in the office. Receptionists are rude, irritable, and unaccommodating. They take rescheduling as a personal offense and will reprimand you for not making them a priority over family or other health issues. The dentists are nicer but they have made several mistakes before that have caused discomfort and it's just not worth it. Several people I have spoken to have left because of the same issue with the service.

Amesbury Dental Associates is awesome! Myself and my 3 boys have been patients here for over 16 years. Lorri is great and Dr. Brad and Lisa are very talented. Dr. George had my son convinced he wanted to be a dentist by the time his appointment was over. Colleen is so helpful at the front desk and checkout is a breeze. Great atmosphere in the new office and a well run business.
