Dr. Nathalie Henderson is a native of Lithonia, Ga. She received her Bachelors degree from Hampton University in Hampton, VA and then went on to obtain her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Her desire to practice dentistry has been driven by a passion to educate and service the underrepresented communities who need dental care the most but lack access. She loves helping her patients achieve healthy smiles that they can be proud to share with the world.
Dr. Bis passion for dentistry was ignited by a Christian dentist who showed her what it means to serve God and patientsDr. Bi strives to follow in the footsteps of her example each day, by treating her patients with the utmost integrity and care. Dr. Bi graduated from The University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2019. Upon graduation, she moved to Memphis for an opportunity in further training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, and she remains committed to lifelong continuing dental education.
Dr. Bi is an active member of the Christian Medical and Dental Association, and she has participated in several Mission of Mercy fairs providing free dental care to the underserved, as well as helped in a medical and dental mission trip to Honduras. Outside of dentistry, she also enjoys church, working out at the gym, and spending time with her two cats: Millie and Menmen.

The staff was nice and kind, and The dental Assistant and the dental hygienist made sure I was comfortable.

I have been nervous about going to the dentist for years after I had a bad experience. I came to American Family Dentist, with the same fear. When I check in and was seen by Dr. Shuya Bi, I was nervous but she made me feel very comfortable. She explain every step to me about my dental care I 'm very happy about the service I received. I definitely would recommend this dental facility. Also I thought I was going to have to pay alot of out of pocket expenses, I do not it was affordable. I'm getting major work done. Thank you Dr. Shuya Bi and American Family Dentist.

I've been going to the Bartlett location of AFD on a regular basis for over 10 years and have never had a bad experience. The staff are always friendly and make you feel very comfortable. I feel that they do a very thorough and careful job of cleaning my teeth. And they explain your dental situation in a way that doesn't cause you to feel shame or anxiety. Going to the dentist can seem daunting, but I never dread going here.

After many failed attempts at trying to get my dental health in order, I finally came across American Family Dentistry in Bartlett, TN. I was quite embarased about the state of my teeth. I had been made to feel basically, stupid, by other dental hygenists in the past. This place was nothing like that. They set me up with a great care plan and now I look forward to going to the dentist.

I have been a customer of this dentist office for around 15 years and have never had a problem. The staff are very helpful and friendly. We love our dental hygienist Dewayne! He is excellent at what he does! I would not go anywhere else!

Dr. Bi provided an excellent experience. After having had a previous experience that was not ideal, I was reluctant to find a new dentist I could trust. Dr.Bi took time to explain my treatment plan and did an excellent job. I followed Dr. Bi from one office to the next not because of her get work but her professionalism. I highly recommend Dr. Bi!!! I've been going to AFD for years now and the entire staff is extremely friendly. I've had Dewayne as a hygienist and he is the best. I recently returned (hadn't been since the pandemic hit) for a root canal and had Dr. Bi and her hygienist. They both made the process as comfortable as they could with my fear of needles and lock jaw. Overall, Dr. Bi did an awesome job! My husband and I will continue to visit AFD for our dental needs.
