When I started going to ADC, it was to see Dr. Emmanuel. She was awesome, but has since left the practice. The hygienists are all fabulous and the practice itself seems nice. However, I just got some fillings done by Dr. Kanegawa, and I am not satisfied with them. I will be contacting the office to see what can be done about them, but it the fillings by Dr. K seem grainy, bulky, and perhaps even misplaced. My teeth are still sensitive at any rate and now it feels like there's a load of food stuck on top of 2 of my teeth all the time. His "bedside" (chairside?) manner is also rather lacking. I asked him to go a little lighter on the novocaine than he may normally and he questioned me in a manner that seemed very disbelieving that I would have an opinion on it and I'm not convinced he actually kept my wishes. He didn't address me at all other than that. I'm writing this because regardless of how or whether they agree to fix it, this happened to me, so it may happen to you. I will hopefully update with what happens. Just need a cleaning though? The hygienists will take good care of you. Update: Chairside manner has improved. There is a new resident there now though and I don't care for their filling work either. Makes it impossible to floss around the filling. I have also since had 2 cleaning appointments canceled last minute because the providers were unavailable.

It was a good place to go towards the end of 2021. But eventually they have been getting worse and not a good place to go to. Beginning of July i was due for a cleaning and they called me telling me that I'll have to reschedule it but they have to let me know whenever they get another hygienist which could be a couple months until they do so. So i ended up finding another dentist and i needed my files and X-rays transferred over and it was sent six days ago and the women never sent them. I called her and the women in the front desk that answered told me that she will "try her best" even though i was waiting for a week for those files to get sent over.

I would put no stars if I could. The hours for this dentist are awful. I don't get calls when they have to close for weather and then leave work early to make my appt only to have the doors locked on me. I rearrange my work schedule with a colleague to be able to have a crown adjusted and they never put me on the schedule. The communication here is terrible. I have never had a crown placed properly. Every time I have it put back on I need to come back for multiple adjustments. The crown repeatedly pops off . Once from flossing, once just from chewing. I am in pain due to the crown this time and I get "I'm sorry ma'am." If you have difficult teeth that require more than a cleaning, don't go here.

I've been working on correcting my smile for probably almost a year. I had a chipped front tooth, a missing tooth on my left side, and my other front tooth had to be replaced. With crowns. Today I finally have the smile I used to have, all thanks to Kiarra R. And Dr Jon!! I've written gushing reviews for American Dental Care and this is no exception. This facility is full of the most kind, courteous, gentle people who understand the dentist can be terrifying for some of us. Dr Jon plays music during our visit - not elevator music but real music, meant to soothe you while waiting to get your work done. On this particularly visit, I had the lovely Kiarra as my dental technician-she made me feel just like I was sitting in someone's living room. When Dr Jon came in for his portion, it was like talking to an old friend. The offices and waiting room are exceptionally clean, and you are always greeted with a smile and kind word. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot. If you are. Nervous Nellie at the dentist, you will be pleased to find some comfort here.

I love American Dental on Jonestown Rd. From the front desk to finance, the care team is excellent. They are kind and thorough; they will keep you coming back for all of your dental needs. The dentist is all about business until the work is done. Then, he will explain and talk about next steps. He is very efficient and did great work on my teeth so far. I have had 3 root canals. Only one was painful and that was due to the condition of the tooth. When I went back for the crown fitting, I had some residual soreness. Instead of cashing in on that expensive appointment, the dentist rescheduled it. For my comfort and to maximize the outcome of the finished tooth. I liked that.

Great staff and great service. Cathy was absolutely amazing today. I hate coming to the dentist, but the environment here is very welcoming and takes that anxiety away. I would definitely recommend American dental care. Edit to this post. Don't ever get anything but a cleaning done here. Or just simply go elsewhere. It's been 30 days of sleepless nights since I had a filling done here. When I told the dentist that I was having pain he got very defensive about it and said I need to brush more! It's hard to brush your teeth when the touch of the tooth bush causes pain. His remedy was simply fluoride which has not helped. I don't recommend having any procedures done here.

Service at this location used to be great. This sadly has not been my experience during my last two appointments. My appointments keep getting cancelled due to staffing issues.

They don't accept Medicare! Do not support this money-over-health business.

They try to bill you and add unnecessary cost to your amount due VIA mail after you already paid at the office.. receptionist is seems to always be in a bad mood or talks in a negative tone..

Very Disappointed! The dentists and Hygienists are wonderful but I had to pay the bill at the time of service, The insurance company paid the bill and they won't give me a refund until all the bills are processed by the insurance company. In the meantime they have 642.00 of my money while we wait for the insurance company to process the last bill in case I might owe them. I don't understand!
