From the moment you enter the office of Dr. Jeffrey Nichelini, youll immediately know that this is not your typical orthodontic practice.Dr. Nichelini is focused solely on providing beautiful, healthy smiles that last a lifetime for children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Nichelini initially pursued a career in dentistry because he wanted to be in a field that allowed him to develop relationships with people, and have a positive role in his community. While in dental school, he decided to specialize in Orthodontics because he was amazed by the profound changes he saw braces making on each patients smile and the subsequent impact those changes had on their confidence. He is now grateful for the opportunity to bring these wonderful changes to the lives of people every day, and considers it a privilege to work with his patients. Dr. Nichelini is committed to giving every individual under his care the close attention necessary to provide them with the most healthy and beautiful results.
Dr. Nichelini received his Bachelors Degree from the University of California- San Diego in Molecular Biology. While attending UCSD he helped found the schools first undergraduate research journal, The Saltman Quarterly. He then moved to New York City to attend The Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he made time to start a dental clinic for homeless people, and received awards for his contribution to public-health. His Orthodontic training was completed simultaneously with a Masters Degree in Oral and Cranoifacial Sciences at the University of California- San Francisco, during which time he served as the Chief Resident of his department.
Dr. Nichelini is a true California native. On his Mothers side he can trace his roots to the first Spanish expedition to the area, led by Gaspar Portola in 1769. On his fathers side, his Great Grandfather helped pioneer the Napa Valley with a homestead in 1884, the location of which is still the site of his familys winery to this day. In his free time, Dr. Nichelini helps his family run their winery, and he enjoys running, hiking, exploring, reading the news, and going to museums.
Dr. Cozin was born in Manhasset, New York and grew up in Bernardsville, New Jersey. While growing up, he enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and music. During high school, he continued these interests by performing in many bands and playing varsity baseball for all four years. During his junior and senior year, he was selected to All-State honors in baseball.
His fascination in life sciences lead him to pursue a degree in biology at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. After college, he moved to Manhattan and worked as a researcher at Columbia Universitys College of Dental Medicine, where he also completed his D.D.S. While in dental school, he continued his research and published in numerous prestigious dental journals. In 2012, he was awarded the Daniel M. Laskin Award for authoring the most outstanding article in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Through positive experiences with patients and mentors at Columbia University, he made the decision to further his education by completing his orthodontic residency at the University of California San Francisco, where he also served as chief resident and received a masters degree in orofacial sciences.
Matt is board certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, biking, and volunteering for dental missions. He also loves rock music and enjoys playing around with old electronics.
Christine was born and raised in the Philippines. She finished 5 years of Dental school before moving to the United States in 1996. She has lived in American Canyon for the past 17 years with her husband Joe. They have 3 boys, Paolo, Carlo and J.J. She is a people person who love talking to the patients and making them feel comfortable when they come to the office with her approachable personality and friendly smile. She loves Basketball and Baseball. Lets Go Giants!

I started my orthodontic treatment with Dr. Nichelini and his staff in Sept 2018. I have never worn braces and no one in my family has ever worn braces. I was completely clueless on the entire process. Without a doubt, Dr. Nichelini has THE best crew that any patient could ever ask for. They have hundreds of patients, yet the front desk staff always remembered my name and always greeted me or said goodbye to me when I was leaving. Every dental assistant that ever worked on my quarterly treatments was fun to talk to, in a great mood, and genuinely love their job. Dr Nichelini has created a phenomenal work environment for them, and they keep a great camaraderie outside of work by doing group activities together. The day he ever starts hiring ER nurses, I will apply to work there! I really am very grateful for Dr. Nichelini's constant encouragement throughout the process (because there will be times you feel so frustrated, missing not having braces), but I promise you - the end result is like night and day. Dr Nichelini also has state of the art equipment that shows he is a master of his craft and takes his work extremely serious. He is a perfectionist, which I used to give him a hard time about...now I am so glad he expects nothing but the best from he and his staff. I got my braces removed in July 2020 and what a transformation I have seen. I can smile now without feeling self-conscious. Braces is a long road for anyone, but I am extremely happy (and lucky!) that Dr. Nichelini and his staff were in my corner to keep me motivated. If you have not chosen an orthodontic office yet, please, visit them!!!! They have 5-star ratings on multiple websites by patients. You do NOT earn that kind of impressive reputation by being "mediocre." I actually really miss not going into the office to see them - they became my "family," and hopefully they will become YOUR family too!!!

Dr. Nic assumed the patients from my daughter's previous orthodontist who went into retirement a year or 2 ago. We were so glad and grateful to meet him and the team. Very professional and realistic with treatment plans individually set for each patients. His clinic is supportive to the community and schools. Very youthful aura and approach in the office. Above all, very prompt in regards to appt. schedule. Dr. Nic is so involve with patients every step of the way. He easily engages with them no matter what age range one belongs. Kudos to you all!!!

Very friendly people, providing excellent, professional services. I learned a lot about the condition of my dental situation and was provided with detailed planning on improvements. Overall, a wonderful experience that made my dental appointments actually fun. Update: I first came in here half expecting to be turned away since my teeth were serioursly effed up as a result of previous treatment from a different ortho. Fast forward two and a half years later when I finally got de-braced and my teeth look mightily fine! Seriously, these guys are IT if you are looking to get braces done perfect.

Always feel comfortable whenever I come in for my monthly visit. Dr Nich and the staff are so helpful and nice and they just makes me feel great whenever I leave the office. You also get really great perks from receiving ortho treatments from there (like raffle prizes, a electric toothbrush given to you from your first day of treatment). Dr Nich also gives realistic goals for what can happen with your teeth in a reasonable amount of time so that's definitely a huge plus for me.

Dr. Nichelini's office is one of the most welcoming I have ever been in. My granddaughter, Ashlyn, really likes everyone who works there, as do her friends who go to the same orthodontist. Highly recommend!

Dr. Nichellini did a great job with my son's teeth. He was very thorough in explaining to me and my son on what he's going to do and I was very pleased with the outcome. What's more important was that my son always looked forward in going back to his clinic. Oh did I forget to mention that the staff were also awesome? Just did!!

I moved to California a year ago and was skeptical about where I was going to continue my orthodontic treatment. I was referred to Dr Nichelini and found a very friendly and welcoming environment. He was willing to help me out and explain very well what steps we were going to take as. I am very pleased that my treatment has given good results in so little time. Also, all the staff is very friendly and give great customer service!
