Took my child today for a consultation in Warner Robins. My kids have been to this office for years(Macon, Warner Robins and Forsyth locations). Arrived and was notified of a large balance I owed. I was told to contact insurance for the problem. I did as instructed and glad I did. Insurance notified me of the Dentist that provided services was not in network. So instead of Ambrose's office taking responsibility for their mistake and have a dentist out of network seeing patients they charged me 950$. I contacted the billing office and was told they would give me a full refund and they would cancel all further appointments for my children. I share this only to let parents know to check the itemized invoice and check with your insurance. The lady at the billing office was respectful and handled it well but the office in itself should take responsibility for the provider not being in network and not letting the parents know before service.

Have not been there . Tried to call to make appointment, but never got through. I'm talking several days and holding for a hour or more . Went to another dentist.

Didn't even make it to scheduling the appt. I waited on hold for an hour to schedule a new patient and when she asked for the insurance information I said okay give me one second for me to dig it out of my wallet and she told me she couldn't hold. I just waited on you to answer for an hour and you can't hold 2 minutes for me to pull up the information. She said I'm sorry no ma'am. NEVERMIND. RUDE. Bad customer service on the phone. Need a new contact center to schedule your appointments because the one y'all have is RUDE and too long of a hold.

When we first started going to Ambrose, we had very few issues. However, now it's one issue after another. This visit, they were running over an hour behind, but not telling anyone this until everyone is upset from sitting in the waiting room so long. My son is a diabetic, and when we have an appointment, we have everything planned out so that his blood sugar doesn't drop while there. They need to do a better job of communicating with their patients, especially when they know they only have one dentist available that day. Just an update for those who are considering Ambrose Pediatric Dentistry...7mos later, and we still continue to have issues with this office. We have now gotten to a point where we are going to find another dentist for my son. I've reached out to others who live in the community, and there are more who have left Ambrose and are now seeing other dentists in Macon.

Dr. Kam was very nice and helpful. Apparently, there was miscommunication at some point when scheduling our appointment for teeth to be extracted. I understand it happens. Was I frustrated, yes. The lady at checkin was very nice, she greeted us with a smile and was helpful. The lady at the checkout was very rude and disrespectful. She met me with her hands on her hip saying my insurance wasn't right and when the lady was calling my child back, she said , no she can't be seen, she doesn't have insurance. I hope others don't have this issues when going to the Forsyth location. UPDATE: I was contacted by the office manager and she was very apologetic. I really appreciate her calling me and explaining things to me. They will be getting my child in soon and that is greatly appreciated.

Would like to first say a HUGE thank you to Dr. Ambrose and staff for taking such amazing care of my 4yr old daughter. She had been going to a previous dentist who was not proactive about her teeth in which led to 3 major painful abscess teeth and more dental work that could of been avoided. When we were referred to Ambrose they took us in next day as an ER patient and got her set up for IV sedation ASAP for the dental work needed. Everyone in the Macon and Forsyth office treated her with extra care. They spent extra time explaining our dental treatment plan as well as the day of surgery they were very welcoming, patient and helpful. Dr. Ambrose was very professional as well as a realist. He took great care of my daughter. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ambrose Pediatric Dentistry to anyone with children!!!!

My girls had appointments here this morning and they were so attentive, sweet, welcoming and quick. We had a mishap with my car and were a couple mins late and they were SO understanding and took us right one back. It was my girls first time and they were Soo good with them and didn't push my youngest(2) to get the x-rays done. (she was not having it) they got little goodies on the way out because they did so good. They had a tv on with cartoons for them and that helped my oldest(4) can't wait to go back for further cleanings!!

My Grandkids go there the Macon dentists very polite my grands love going. they treat them like family all the employees are great. I've told all my friends and family and Ambrose dentistry. I'd give them a 5 star rating.

The staff at APD have always gone above and beyond to make sure my children were comfortable and well cared for. My son & daughter have been treated by Dr John and his team for over a decade and I have nothing but positive praise !! Very professional and the team is very thorough in discussing treatment plans as well as careful maintenance with cleaning/flossing. My children never dread going to the dentist, which is a huge relief as their Mom. Would highly recommend Dr John Ambrose & his fantastic team for your family- top notch quality care!
