When Dr. Hightower to run Ambiance Dental Spa, she knew she wanted to do something different. She wanted to have a dental office where patients could easily relax and unwind, but still have it be a place where top-quality dental care was at the forefront. Dr. Clarine Green Hightower grew up in Pickering, Ontario, Canada. She went to St. Jago High School in Jamaica, and then later attended the University of the West Indies (Mona Campus) to study Natural Sciences. She then moved to the US where she attended the Howard University College of Dentistry. In addition to completing an Advanced General Residency, she has worked in various dental offices throughout the Washington Metropolitan area. She also has years of experience working in a pediatric setting and welcomes entire families to our dental office.
Dr. Hightower created Ambiance Dental Spa in 2007 with the vision of providing general dental care in a spa-like environment. 'I wanted to change the way you viewed your typical dental office and make your experience unlike any other you ever had.' Over the years, she has attended numerous continuing education courses focused on Invisalign, veneers, and Six Month Smiles. Cosmetic dentistry is her passion, as she loves to change the way people feel about their appearance, and in turn, change their life.
Dr. Hightower loves to travel, and watersports are one of her favorite activities. One of her other passions is interior design. She currently lives in Bowie with her husband and toddler, so she is truly your neighborhood dentist!

I love my Ambiance Dental Spa . Been going to this office now for over 6 yrs. Ms. Hightower is very patient and knowledgeable about her job. The staff is very nice, she has/have a great group of people supporting her. I highly recommend this office if you are looking for such.

I found the dentist and office staff to be very courteous, professional, friendly, and patient. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I appreciated how the dentist explained the procedure being done, the modern technology utilized, and checked to insured my comfort during the services being provided.

I had a great experience at Ambiance Dental Spa! Walking in I almost forgot I was at the dentist, because of the spa like ambiance of the office. They definitely live up to their name! Every staff member I encountered were super friendly and they explained every procedure performed in my exam, which made me feel comfortable. They were pretty quick and thorough with my exam. Dr. Hightower had great bedside manners when discussing the work I needed done. Overall, I was very pleased with my visit. So glad I found Ambiance Dental Spa!

I rate my experience as 5 stars overall. My appointment time was was spot-on; no wait time. Greeting at front desk was friendly and professional. I had a small filling done. Dr Hightower did the filling "lickity-split," in other words, a matter of few minutes. Both dental tech and Dr Hightower were very friendly, proficient, professional and confident. I am a new patient and recommend this dental office highly.

I do not like going to the dentist at all. It's been a fear since childhood. I found this dentist because it is close to where I live. From the first phone call to check out I was very warmly greeted and treated with respect. Keisha (I hope I have that right) and Dr. Hightower explained what they were going to do very clearly so I felt comfortable. I have more appointments with them coming up and I am not scared at all. Thank you all!

The dental assistant I had was excellent!!!! She was so helpful and made me feel so comfortable, I almost asked her to marry me!!!!! The Dr that worked on me was also excellent!!! She was gentle, quick, and painless!!!!!! Can't ask for more than that!! Outstanding work!!
