Dr. Vacek always liked the idea of working in science and medicine, but above all else, he wanted to be able to help people through his job. Eventually, he chose dentistry because the positive impact he could have on someones quality of life felt much more direct additionally, he enjoyed the idea of working with his hands throughout each day. Today, he takes a great amount of pride in what he does and always looks forward to getting to meet new people each day. His patients are his friends!
Dr. Vacek is originally from Fargo, North Dakota. He attended the University of Nebraska Medical Center College of Dentistry, achieving his Doctor of Dental Surgery. While he first practiced in the state of Wisconsin, he eventually returned to Nebraska to be closer to family. He is also highly enthusiastic about pursuing continuing education, routinely completing over 100 hours of advanced training per year. He is a graduate of Implant Seminars in Miami, Florida, and is proud to have the specialty education needed to provide both surgical dental implant placement and restoration in one office for his patients convenience. Additionally, he is an evaluator for the highly respected dental journal Clinicians Report and is currently maintains memberships in the American Dental Association, Nebraska Dental Association, American Academy of Implant Dentistry and International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
At home, Dr. Vacek and his wife, Kari, are the proud parents of four wonderful children, and he always enjoys spending his free time with them. He loves being outdoors and doing activities like fishing, hunting and playing sports when he is away from the practice. He is also a big mountain biker and has even competed in a few races.
Julie has been in the dental world for an impressive amount of time, over 20 years, and we are pleased to add her experience to our team. She is passionate about helping patients dental wellness and says she loves working with her wonderful coworkers. Julie is originally from Greenwood, Nebraska, and studied dental assisting at Southeast Community College in Lincoln. Her family includes a son, daughter, two grandsons and her dog, Marley. Julie loves to cook and in her free time enjoys swimming, camping, fishing and being outdoors in general. She also cannot wait for the installation of her new pool!
Danielle has been working in the field of dentistry for over four years and loves educating patients about the importance of their oral health. She is a proud graduate from University of Nebraska, Omaha, and the College of Dentistry at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and certified in administering local anesthesia. She is married to her husband, who is a high school teacher, and they both care for their retired racing greyhound named Queenie.
Ginny has been with us since August 2012, and she holds plenty of titles. With a Bachelor of Arts in dental hygiene from UNMC College of Dentistry, she is also a member of American Dental Hygienists Associations and National Dental Hygienists Association. She uses digital X-rays and our intraoral camera and provides thorough periodontal assessments. She also provides prophylaxes and oral hygiene instructions individualized to each and every patient. She wants patients to feel as comfortable and knowledgeable about their hygiene visit as possible. Ginny loves coming to work every day knowing that she is delivering the very best in patient care. She has been a part-time and substitute hygienist at a variety of offices before, but she has found Amberly Dental as her career home. And she loves to work for a dentist that practices such passionate, quality care and allows her to also do so. When she is not working, she enjoys cooking, painting and running. She is married to Kiel and they have three daughters, Gianna, Carmen and Vivian.
Gabby is a new addition to our team, and she has over five years of experience in the dental field. She loves being able to help people through her job and also learning so much about oral health care every day! As for her education, she studied at both Chadron State College and Mid-Plains Community College. She has her Associate of Science and Associate of Applied Science in dental assisting, as well as advanced training in radiology and coronal polishing. Outside of work, she spends lots of time with her mom, dad, younger sister, boyfriend, Gabe, and dogs, Gizmo and Gordo. Her personal hobbies include crafting, upcycling furniture, antique shopping, traveling, and going to concerts and sporting events. She has never lived outside of Nebraska but she does not even like corn!
Margo joined our team in February 2022 and has over 18 years of experience in dentistry. She graduated in the dental assisting program at Southeast Community College in 2003 and loves changing patients lives and helping them overcome their fear associated with dentistry. Outside the office, she spends time with her boyfriend along with her younger brother, Vince, niece and nephew. Her hobbies include going to the gym, kayaking the Nebraska river during the summer, riding bikes along Lincoln trails, cooking, and being the cool aunt to her niece and nephew.

Crooks I was quoted 450 after insurance they charged me 780$ on the way out the door and then sent me another bill for 58$ it never stops with this place they rob you .my insurance company said I should of only owed them the 450 quoted price .they said you were overcharged 2nd time they played me be aware of these crooks

Amberly Dental got me in during the holidays for urgent care when I felt no one else would take me in. I got the root canal I needed and got me out of pain. I have been continuing to see Dr. Vacek for my dental needs. I don't feel judgment from anyone in the office about the shape my teeth were in. 100% recommend to anyone, especially for dental anxiety.

1 million stars. In 2016 I was told I had 8 cavities. Five years later, I visit Amberly Dental because a tooth had turned black and very painful. One root canal later and I'm getting all those cavities filled. I was very nervous to visit the dentist because it is usually scary, expensive, painful, and TAKES FOREVER. Not this place. Dr. Vacek and his team are highly compassionate, professional, and talented. Julie at the front desk will break down EVERYTHING cost / insurance related and they will not perform any procedure without completely explaining the process, cost, recovery, etc. The hygienists will hand you a mirror and TEACH YOU how to take care of your teeth. Ever hear about dental offices that take 2 weeks and multiple visits just to complete one crown/filling? Amberly Dental takes 30 MINUTES and you can eat and drink completely normal after one appointment. My final fear of any dental visit is the waiting. The agony and anticipation of the waiting room can be worse than the actual appointment. At Amberly, I walk in the door and get escorted straight back to the exam room because there is NO WAIT. Greeted and treated like an old friend. I cannot say enough good things about this team.

Dr Vacek has been the BEST dentist I have EVER had! His compassion toward his patients and staff NEVER goes unnoticed. It takes a lot to drag me into the dentist from previous experiences at other dentist offices. I have had a lot of teeth work done since I was a kid. I just got 3 crowns done today. My whole family has been going to Amberly Dental for over 8 years now! Just wait tell you meet Sarah Kerkman, she always has the biggest and warm smile to greet you! 5 stars in a understatement. This is our Dentistry for Life!

Wonderful place! Everyone is super friendly and they are very thorough with everything they do. I didn't like going to the dentist before(other places not here), but after coming here several times now, they make it as stress free as possible and while getting your teeth worked on, they make sure you are comfortable as possible. From scheduling, to completing your work, to billing, these guys are amazing!! Highly recommended!!

My husband recently visited Dr. Vacek at Amberly Dental as he was having issues with a tooth. We called on Friday and were able to get an appointment first thing on Monday morning. Rick appreciated Dr. Vacek's honesty and taking the time to get to know him and ask him what he was looking for from his dentist.

The Best Dentist office I have ever been in. The atmosphere is relaxing the minute you walk in. Each and every person in this office makes you feel like your the only one there. They are professional, respectful, friendly and so much more. We will be taking our whole family to this dentist and HIGHLY Recommend this office to Anyone and everyone. And if you have a bit of a drive, ITS WORTH IT!!!!! We are a half hour drive, even if it were and hour we would make the drive!!!! BEST DENTIST OFFICE EVER!!!!!!

Still feel the same today as I did 6 years ago... Ginny is still THE BEST HYGENIST out there and Dr. Vacek is THE BEST DENTIST. I wouldn't go anywhere else. By far the best experience EVER at the dentist. Dr. Vacek and his team helped make this dental visit by far the most comfortable possible. I hated going to the dentist before and I can say that I don't feel that way anymore.
