Because we call Sterling Heights home too, we stay involved in our community. We teach at local middle schools, work at the Macomb community clinic, and have organized a free clinic with dental and eye exams for people who couldnt normally afford it.

Dr. Daniel Ardelean was born in Romania and immigrated to the United States in 1991. His mother, Dr. Florica Ardelean, was a dentist in Romania. It wasnt long before Dr. Ardelean found that he and his mother shared a love for working with their hands.
He attended Wayne State University, where he graduated magna cum laude with honors and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biological sciences. Even though Dr. Ardelean was accepted into medical school, he chose to attend dental school instead and graduated from University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in 2008.
In 2009, Dr. Ardelean began a surgical residency at the Midwest Implant Institute in Columbus, OH. Soon after, he completed a residency at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine where he studied bone grafting, gum grafting, and sinus lifts.
He began his career working as an associate dentist for his mother in 2008. He then worked at Clairpointe Family Dental in St. Clair Shores, MI before arriving here at Amber Dental. Dr. Ardelean has continued to stay up to date with the latest dental training and tools, taking additional courses through Dawsons Academy in occlusion and full-mouth reconstruction and attending symposiums at the Midwest Implant Institute. He is a Lumineers Preferred Provider, a Perio Protect provider, and has extensive training in Invisalign. Besides his thorough training, Dr. Ardelean is a member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, and the Macomb Dental Society.
Dr. Dan, as he is known to most of his patients, understands the value of getting to know patients as real people, not just numbers, and enjoys serving his patients. Not only does he love to create beautiful smiles for his patients, he is also very active internationally, teaching dentists in numerous countries the highest level of care they can provide with dental technology. He also takes a few weeks every year to give back to several third-world countries by leading free medical and dental mobile clinics and serving the underprivileged. Dr. Dan has been happily married to Cornelia Ardelean for the past eight years. She also works in the dental field as a licensed dental hygienist. When not at our Sterling Heights, MI office, Dr. Dan loves to travel with his wife and son Samuel.
Leilani has been a member of our team since 2010, but she has been in the dental field for a very long time. She graduated with her associates degree in 2010 from Baker College. She has worked as both a dental assistant and a dental hygienist. Leilani is very gratified by her job because she is able to give care to our patients while keeping their comfort and well-being a top priority.
Leilani has a full life outside of the office as well. She has a husband, three daughters, and two sons. She also has a dog named Daisy. All members of her family (even the four-legged kind) bring great joy to Leilani. She also enjoys crafting, camping, and spending time with her family.
Samirah has been working in dentistry since the early 1990s. She spent six years as a dental assistant and front desk worker before becoming a dental hygienist. Samirah graduated from Oakland Community College in 1999 with an extended associates degree. She really enjoys her job and being able to treat patients who have not been to the dentist in a very long time. She loves seeing the transformation from unhealthy to healthy mouth.
Cori graduated from Baker Colleges dental hygiene program with an associates degree. She then earned a bachelors degree in dental hygiene from University of Detroit Mercy and continue to gain continuing education hours each year. Cori has been working in the dental field since 2008. She loves working with people and being able to encourage and educate our patients. The partnership between health care provider and patient is very important to Cori. She feels great satisfaction in overseeing the patients progress.
Menia is a dental assistant, which means she will be standing by to help you and Dr. Ardelean during a dental procedure. She is fantastic to work with and has 20+ years of experience. Menia graduated from Macomb Community College with a health science degree and continued to the University of Detroit Mercy for radiology training. She also completes yearly continuing education courses. Menia loves working with patients and helping create beautiful smiles. There is never a dull moment in our office. Menia loves the daily adventure!
In her free time, Danielle enjoys spending as much time as she can with her two sons and the rest of their family. They enjoy going to the zoo, visiting parks, and shopping. When time permits, Danielle and her husband enjoy going on dates and seeing their friends as much as possible. Daniel also enjoys reading, watching movies, working out, and relaxing.
Nicole is one of the friendly and smiling faces that youll see working in our front desk area. She has been working in the dental field since the mid 1990s and has extensive education in insurance, billing, HIPAA, and OSHA. Her favorite part of this job is working with patients like you and seeing you learn to trust our team to take care of your smile. She also enjoys the fantastic team that she gets to work with each day.
When Nicole is away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Mike, and their two children: Brooklyn, 10, and Logan, 8. Both children are very active in sports, so you might find Nicole and her family at the hockey rink in the winter, or the ball fields in the summer. They also enjoy going on vacations, watching movies, and spending time with their close friends.
Cathy is always ready and willing to help our patients as one of our fabulous front desk team members. She graduated from Macomb College in Warren, Michigan with her associates degree in applied science. Though interested in law, Cathy found her way to dentistry and has been working in this field since the mid 1990s. She has been a member of our team for more than 10 years. Cathy enjoys working with our team, but she is especially talented with our patients. She is caring, helpful, and enjoys the overall dental experience we are able to provide to our patients. She always looks forward to seeing you leave with a smile on your face!
