Dr. Mercedes Patricia Arroyo was born in the city of Lima, Peru. As a child, dental work was all around her since her father was a dentist. Growing up seeing her father, she had a strong vocation from an early age for this wonderful profession.
As a young woman following her calling for a profession in the dental field, she graduated as a DDS in Peru at the San Martin De Porres University in 1997. She continued her studies specializing in pediatric dentistry as well as orthodontics. Arroyo then utilized her specialty to open up two private practices in Lima, Peru and worked them for 8 years. Looking for a change, she moved her family to Los Angeles and revalidated her dental profession at La Salle University in Mexico in 2008. Since La Salle University is accredited by the Dental Board of California, she obtained her DDS in 2010.
Dr. Mercedes Patricia Arroyo DDS is now the proud owner of Amazing Smiles which consists of two offices, one is located in the city of El Monte and the other in the city of Van Nuys. Dr. Arroyo and her staff bring a personalized attention to each patient which is one of the characteristics that differentiates her offices from any other in the area. She counts on a team of professional doctors that are all highly qualified in their own different specialties, and a very polite and family oriented staff that will make each visit feel as comfortable as possible.

I literally came in at 3:40 for top 2 wisdom teeth removal,and I was out of there by 4:10. I've been coming here for a few years now. And I never have a complaint. They treat you like family. Very happy with their service and will be their client for the years to come.

Dr.Arroyo and staff are very nice, also the Drs. that are there during the week when Dr.Arroyo is not are also good and nice Drs. Definitely very clean on everything from front to back!!!

I like the place because is clean and modern but to get work done is a hassle . It's not an easy walk and tare care of business . For whatever reason the jobs that my dad and I had to do requires for us to come back when the specialist is in and that can take up to a month . This happened to us twice so that can make ppl for have to look for other options or go some place else .

Been coming here for couple of years staffs and doctors are very friendly make you feel very welcome ,every time I go they explain to me what I need to be work on in a way I understand. I recommend Amazing Smile definitely a great dental office

This is the friendliest and most welcoming dentist office I have ever been to. The staff there are really helpful, informative and we're extremely patient with my 2 and 4 year old. Dr Patricia Arroyo made my kids feel very comfortable, definitely an ultimate experience with each personal in the office. I highly recommend them.

I have had the best dental care here I have ever had in a dentist office in my life. (I'm 50 something) No exaggeration. They are gentle and kind. Everyone working in Amazing Smiles is very sensitive to the needs of the patients. 5 stars are not enough. happy patient.

I recommend going somewhere else. They wanted to charge me about $200. I called Cal-Dental & they told me to go somewhere else for a 2nd opinion. 1 hour later, called Arroyo Dental again that day to cancel. They still send the approval weeks later. The other dentist had me approved right away. The things there also don't seem clean.
