Dr. Jason Crescenzo is highly trained in implant dentistry but enjoys performing several procedures including one-visit molar root canal therapy, surgical extractions, and aesthetic/cosmetic treatments.

Today was my first visit to amazing smiles. I was greeted right away with positive attitudes from the front desk. The facility is very well kept and has a beautiful fish viewing tank in the lobby. The staff explained everything to me with kindness and answered any of my questions. My hygienist was absolutely amazing and for once I cant wait to go back and see my dentist! Very impressed with this visit and highly recommend families as I saw many children there.

I had an extraction done this week and the staff at Amazing Smiles put me at ease. The staff contacted me the night before and reviewed my evening instructions and confirmed things for procedure day. The staff are so professional and kind. Jessy the dental hygienist is amazing with my girls (ages 4 and 10) She is personal, funny and truly cares for her patients. My girls adore her and she helps make our experience a smooth one! Dr. Crescenzo is great and does a nice job of explaining the processes and procedures. He is very patient and Ive never felt rushed with him. Dr. Sun is new to Amazing Smiles and no surprise here, she is excellent just like the rest of the team! Highly recommend.

A picture explains what words never can, especially when it comes to your teeth. An intraoral camera can take pictures with such detail, it can show cracks and stress marks in a tooth that cant be seen with the naked eye.

Known as CBCT, this advanced imaging technique uses a cone-shaped X-ray beam. The cone beam rotates around your head to create a highly detailed 3D image of your mouth to help us accurately design your treatment plan.

Our office uses intraoral digital scanners to create a highly detailed 3D model of your teeth. The resulting 3D surface model is the virtual, time efficient, and safe alternative to traditional plaster models.

Dr. Jason R. Crescenzo earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the New York University College of Dentistry. While attending NYU, he was accepted into the Senior Honors Program in Implant Dentistry and won the Academy of Osseointegrations Outstanding Dental Student in Implant Dentistry Award. Following dental school, he completed a General Practice Residency at St. Josephs Regional Medical Center, an affiliate of Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education in Paterson, New Jersey.

Dr. Crescenzo attends many continuing education programs and has completed the New York Maxi-course in Oral Implantology, a 300-hour training program by the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He enjoys performing several procedures including one-visit molar root canal therapy, implant placement and restoration, surgical extractions, and aesthetic/cosmetic treatments. Dr. Crescenzo is a member of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, American Dental Association, Chicago Dental Society, and Academy of General Dentistry.

During his free time, Dr. Crescenzo enjoys spending time with his wife and their two daughters, Enza and Simone, and spoiling his minpin, Roxy. When hes not spending time with his family you can find Dr C. playing pool, talking about food, or looking forward to his annual Traverse City vacation.

Dr. Robert M. Thies completed his undergraduate degree at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin as a recipient of the Western Golf Association Chick Evans Scholarship. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, Illinois as a recipient of the Illinois Congressional Scholarship. Dr. Thies completed his General Practice Residency program in advanced general dentistry, hospital dental treatment and special needs care at the Loyola-Foster McGaw Hospital in Maywood, Illinois. He was appointed a chief resident of the program before moving to Manhattan, Kansas where he received externship training at the original Dental Implant Centre.

After he completed these post-graduate programs, Dr. Thies returned to Chicago where he accepted teaching positions in the restorative dental department of Loyola Dental School as well as the Loyola Hospital General Practice Residency program as a Dental Implant Consultant. After the closing of Loyola Dental School in 1993, Dr. Thies continued teaching at the Michael Reese Hospital General Practice Residency (Chicago) and the Creighton University (Omaha, Nebraska) Department of Continuing Education.

Dr. Thies has taken numerous post-graduate courses in all fields of dentistry including cosmetics, dental implants, orthodontics, endodontics (root canal therapy), periodontics (gum treatment), pediatrics, infection control and sterilization. Dr. Thies has been awarded Fellowship by several organizations, proving that Dr. Thies upholds the highest standards of his profession. In 1994, Dr. Thies was the recipient of a Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry, and in 2008, Dr. Thies was awarded a Fellowship in the Academy of Dentistry International. Dr. Thies is the co-author of numerous scholarly publications including several in the field of interdisciplinary treatment and dental implants. He also produced a video teaching the surgical placement of dental implants.

Dr. Thies is a member of the Board of Directors for the Western Golf Association and is also the secretary of the Midwest Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He has served as a professional consultant for Altatech Biotechnologies (past distributor of the Camlog dental implant) as well as a Dental Claims Consultant for the MetLife Dental Insurance Company.

Dr. Jaclyn MacDonald grew up in Palos Heights, Illinois, attending Alan B. Shepard High School. She received her Bachelors in Biomedical Science from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University, College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois. She completed her General Practice Residency in advanced general dentistry, hospital dental treatment, and public health at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Above all else, she considers communication, trust, and respect between doctor and patient to be the most important aspects of care.

Dr. MacDonald is dedicated to dentistry and attends many continuing education courses to stay up-to-date with current technology and materials. She is also very passionate about volunteerism and has donated her time and skills to the Mission of Mercy in both Wisconsin (before she was a dentist) and in Illinois. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Illinois State Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society.
