Hello! I am Kat, with great honor and pride I am glad to introduce myself as the lead assistant (or some know me as the Smile Maker) at Amaya Orthodontics. Something that has always been of importance to me is to have healthy and happy patients. I believe knowledge is key and for most, Orthodontic treatment can be scary- but my focus is to inform and create a safe space for questions and/or list any concerns (and create if needed alternative safe solutions with Dr. Malik) to ensure a fun experience.
Hello all! Welcome to Amaya Orthodontics! I will likely be the first (handsome) face you see when you enter the office. My name is Enrique and as office manager, I am here to ensure that you have an overall fantastic experience when in our office. I will be helping with all your insurance questions and make sure we do what we can to maximize your Orthodontic benefits. I have been working with Dr. Malik for several years (and I have also been a patient of hers) and together, we look forward to having you as a part of our AMAYA family. When she was an orthodontic student, Dr. Mohni Malik spent three years learning the skills needed to manage tooth movement and to guide facial development. Your visits to our Sugar Land office will be even more relaxing because of the high level of expertise and competence of our friendly, experienced team.
Though I was born and raised in Florida, I moved to Houston after my orthodontic residency to practice as an associateand because my husband works in the oil and gas industry. For the past 10 years, my family has grownand after a few detoursweve settled in and are so happy to call the Houston area home!
Speaking of family, you may be wondering what Amaya means. I named my practice after my two children. After becoming a mommy (yes, I still havent accepted being called Mom yet) in 2012, and again in 2015, my whole life changed.
Every time I come to work at Amaya Orthodontics, Im reminded why I work so hard and whats really important in life. This also inspires me every day to ensure that you and your kids receive the same level of care and attention that I would want for MY children.

My daughter has never been so excited to go to the dentist! She was really nervous going into her potential Ortho treatment, and left the appt excited to go back! The Staff is amazing, friendly, and personable! Her teenage sisters attended her last appt with us and both said they wished they could get braces again and go to Amaya! The office is so fun and inviting! I can't say enough good about this office! We are thankful for our referral to this office and so excited for our daughters ortho journey to be with Dr. Malik!

Amaya orthodontics are beyond wonderful they are the sweetest from front to back staff and not to mention Dr Malik, my son started his treatment in December and everytime we go in its such a pleasure absolutely recommend Amaya orthodontics

Thank you Dr. Malik, Enrique and Kat for doing a great job on Alex's braces! The office is new and clean. The hours are great for those who don't want to minimize the disruption to their kid's school schedule. Love this place!

This place is amazing! From the ambience when you walk in the door to the superb customer service. Dr. Malik and her staff are wonderful! My daughter has Invisalign and from the day the treatment started they have made her feel truly special, from the welcoming messages when she walks in the door to the post cards they send. They understand what great customer service is. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I went in for only a consult and price quote today and walked out wearing braces! The quote was 1/3rd the price i thought it'd be and they offered a great payment plan! And we're able to put my braces on today. Honestly I couldn't he happier. The entire staff were very sweet, friendly, and helpful! I didn't feel pressured in any way... I really appreciated that!

I have love being a patient here! They have such a friendly, caring staff. When I made the call to schedule my first appointment, I was greeted with so much kindness by Enrique. I felt like he really wanted to help me. At the time of my first appointment I got a FREE consult and spoke to MA Kat who was so polite and spoke to me like I was a friend instead of just a patient. Do not get me started on the doctor the sweetest person ever!! who actually cares about what I want and feel on every step of the way. They are really personable, and I 100% recommend Amaya Orthodontics for all your braces needs!

I just got back home from my second appointment with Amaya Orthodontics and I just wanted to say that I really love them! Their decorating theme for this month is Summer Vibes in Hawaii. I walked in and there was a message board that said aloha with everyone's name who has an appointment today. They always think of little ways to make you happy and feel special. I had an appointment today because one of my brackets became loose (my fault ) but it was almost time for me to get the wire retightened anyway. They are really a joy to be around. They really brightened my day today and I look forward to seeing them again in 3 weeks to get my bottom braces installed!

From booking the initial appointment to the end of our visit, the whole practice was amazing! We couldn't ask for anything better! Our daughter got braces the same day and the whole process was smooth. Enrique was very diligent on making sure I had all the information. Dr. Malik and her assistant were amazing! I recently visited Amaya Orthodontics for the first time. Instantly, I was greeted by her friendly, professional, warm and inviting staff (Enrique and Kat). Enrique and Kat patiently walked me through what I should expect from the initial visit and were open to answer my many questions. The office setting was calm, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, with smells of aromatherapy that filled the rooms. Upon meeting Dr. Malik, it was evident, that she was a delightful extension of her staff. Dr. Malik educated me on my current condition and offered various treatment options that were suitable for my needs. Overall, I had a great experience during my timely visit with Amaya Orthodontics.
