I attended the College of Wooster for my undergraduate education, earning my Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry. I then completed a Master's Degree in Chemistry and my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Washington School of Dentistry.
I am committed to attending study clubs and continued education, so much so that I have received my Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry. This allows me to provide the best care to each of my patients with the latest technology and current techniques.
I provide dental care to individuals through Jewish Family Services, Give Kids a Smile, and the King County Dental Society. My wife and I support and are actively involved with Seattle Area Feline Rescue and Ginger's Pet Rescue.
Hello, my name is Dr. Shoko Sato, and Ive been blessed with the opportunity to join Dr. LeCuyer, Dr. Amato, and the team here at Amato Dental Group located in the Madison Medical Tower on the Swedish First Hill Campus in Seattle.
In my home country of Japan, I practiced as a general dentist for five years prior to starting the graduate periodontology program at USC. Continuing to improve my qualifications, I have completed my postgraduate program in periodontology and my masters degree in craniofacial biology at the Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC in Los Angeles. This intensive training has added a great deal of theoretical and hands-on experience to my existing skills in dentistry.
Attending continuing education programs in the United States and Japan has afforded me the experience in treating patients with higher, more advanced skills. As a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, I have achieved the highest level possible for a clinician, which brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Puget Sound periodontics at this time.
I enjoy being very active, which started at a young age with my older brother. My favorite love is participating in horse riding and scuba diving. My horse riding started when I was a little girl, where I focused on showjumping and dressage. Dressage is the highest expression of horse training, where the rider and horse are expected to memorize the movements.
My favorite horse is now the background wallpaper on my phone and computer. My love for horses has also allowed me to become an expert at braiding horsehair, yet I still have trouble braiding my own. Recently, I went to a golf course where I was able to ride a horse and golf. It was my favorite place on earth!

This is a review of Chelsea, who has been our hygienist for...ever! She takes the time to explain the details of what we need to do to keep our teeth and gums healthy. She is direct, but kind and seemingly keeps all the details of our visits - and our mouths- in mind. Chelsea is aces and amazing.

The best dental (or any medical office) office you'll ever visit. Never waited more than 5 mins in the past 10 yrs (for me, 15 for my husband) going to this clinic. The staff is friendly, efficient and billing is always on point. Super clean office with a view of the city and the mountains on a clear day. I highly highly recommend dr. Armato's office for all your dental needs.

My husband and I have been having our teeth masterfully cleaned by Chelsea for about 15 years now. She is superb in every way! She has high expectations and top skills and combines both in a professional, assured, and kind manner. She helps us keep our teeth as healthy as possible.The same is true of all the staff.

Lecuyer and Amato are the best!!! The dentists there know what they are doing and have an excellent "bedside manner". They are genuinely interested in your well being. The staff are just as great and make you feel like you are at home and part of the family!!! I wish I had Lecuyer and Amato when I was younger because my teeth would have been even better than what they have made them today!!!

Chelsea is awesome, been cleaning my teeth for years and always gives great service and advice. I did see a front desk woman walking around without a mask, thought they could be more careful - still a requirement to wear.

Always a pleasure to see the great people at Amato Dental Group. Each visit is like a visit with good friends and family. I am an old timer who has been a patient for 33 years since the early days after Dr. LeCuyer founded the practice. The one thing that makes this practice so special is the absolute commitment to quality personal service from everyone on the care team. Outstanding! And my teeth and gums are healthier for it, especially because of the TLC they get twice a year from Julie, a total pro. Love you guys!!!
