Dr.Amanda Gallagher Whetzel was born and raised in Reading, Pennsylvania and attended James Madison University in Virginia where she received degrees in Health Services Administration and Business. While at James Madison, Dr.Gallagher played womens varsity field hockey and received Division I Academic-Athlete honors. She received her Doctor in Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, PA and graduated at the top of her dental school class with Summa Cum Laude recognition, was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honorary dental society, and received the Herbert G. Lampson, M.D. Award for the most outstanding senior woman student.
Dr.Gallagher received her Orthodontics Specialty Certificate and Masters in Oral Biology (MS) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in 2011. While at Maryland and post-residency, Dr.Gallagher participated as an Orthodontic Specialist on Craniofacial and Cleft Palate teams at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and Kernan Medical Center. During her residency, Dr. Gallagher conducted original research focused on esthetic bracket and archwire options to achieve high-quality, esthetic orthodontic treatment for patients.
After residency, Dr. Gallagher worked as a private practice orthodontist in the suburbs of Boston, MA and then Frederick, MD. In 2013, Dr. Gallagher purchased an existing two-office private orthodontic practice from a local retiring orthodontist. The practice has grown significantly since that time and Dr. Gallagher relocated both offices to new, state-of-the-art facilities to provide the best patient experience possible. These current office locations opened in Nottingham in 2016 and in Abingdon in 2017.The practice opened its third office in Baltimore's new Harbor Point development in 2020. Dr. Gallagher focuses on patients and community in her practice and enjoys being able to design and create beautiful smiles while supporting and building confidence in her patients along the way.
Dr. Gallagher is committed to excellence in education and technology in the profession, and regularly participates in dental and orthodontic study clubs on both the local and national levels. She is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), Maryland State Society of Orthodontists (MSSO), and the Mid-Atlantic Society of Orthodontists (MASO), where she has served as Officer of Government Affairs. She is also active in the following dental organizations: the ADA, MSDA, Baltimore County Dental Society, and Harford Cecil Dental Society, where she has served as Vice-President. Dr. Gallagher is an Invisalign Diamond Plus Top 1% Provider, has published in the Journal of Clinical Orthodontics, and has been recognized as a Top Orthodontist for the last seven years in a row by Baltimore Magazines annual dentist peer survey.
Dr. Gallaghers interests are in craniofacial growth and development, as well as in the treatment of children and adults with craniofacial abnormalities. Her previous experience as an orthodontist in a pediatric dental setting has shaped her style of treatment for all patients in a kind, caring, and compassionate way. Dr. Gallagher is committed to technological excellence and esthetic advancements in the specialty of orthodontics, and is experienced in self-ligating brackets, Invisalign, INBRACE (lingual braces), temporary anchorage devices (TADs/Mini-screws), laser gingival procedures, and multi-disciplinary orthodontic treatment needs.
Dr. Gallagher runs the practice with her husband Ben, and they live in Kingsville with their three young sons. In her spare time, Dr. Gallagher enjoys traveling, interior design, fashion and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Veselovsky was born and raised in Kings Park, New York. She attended the University of Delaware, obtaining her Bachelor of Science in both Finance and Economics. After five years of working in the fashion industry in New York City and completion of pre-requisites at Columbia University, Dr. Veselovsky continued her education at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. Recognized for her outstanding academic achievements, Dr. Veselovsky was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr. Veselovsky then completed her orthodontic residency at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City, earning her Certificate in Orthodontics.
Dr. Veselovsky believes that everyone deserves a smile they can be proud of! She strives to create a positive, meaningful experience for her patients and is grateful to be a part of their transformation!
Her professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Society of Orthodontists and Middle Atlantic Society of Orthodontists.
Dr. Veselovsky recently moved to Baltimore with her cat, Scruples, and is looking forward to exploring her new home! In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, fashion, and spending time with friends and family.
Dr. Yoonhee Ahn Wang was born and raised in South Korea. After immigrating to the United States at age 20 and enrolling in a local community college, she quickly advanced in her studies and obtained a Bachelors degree in both Molecular/Cellular Biology and Chemistry from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Yoonhee then earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, graduating cum laude and earning awards from the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Oral Medicine, and Special Care Dentistry Association.
She further continued her dental education by completing a General Practice Residency at the Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, providing dental care to medically-complex patients in the emergency room, trauma bays, inpatient wards, and intensive care units. Through working alongside interdisciplinary teams, Dr. Yoonhee became fascinated by how each persons skeletal and dental growth is unique and requires careful, individualized attention in order to achieve the best outcomes. To pursue her dream of providing highly personalized care to patients of all ages with the most evidence-based techniques available, she decided to apply her skills toward the field of Orthodontics. Dr. Yoonhee completed an Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics Residency at the University of Pennsylvania, during which time she was recognized for her excellence in clinical care by the Rouff Orthodontic Scholarship Award.
Dr. Yoonhee loves being a part of the AGO family and of each patients journey toward finding their best smile. She strongly believes that a radiant smile can empower not just the self, but also the community.

Dr. Sharon DSilva was born and raised in Dix Hills, NY. She attended Washington University in St. Louis, where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Biology. She continued her education at Tufts University, earning her Doctorate of Dental Medicine, where she graduated cum laude and was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr. DSilva went on to complete her orthodontic residency and obtain her Certificate in Orthodontics at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. DSilva recently moved to Baltimore, and is looking forward to exploring everything her new home has to offer! In her free time, she enjoys traveling, water sports, cooking (and eating), and quality time with friends and family.

I enjoyed my experience with Amanda Gallagher Orthodontics. The staff was friendly, welcoming and they explained the process very well. I have referred a number of people to her. I have been satisfied with my results. I can honestly say I miss my braces a little well the changing of color bands. I love the final results and am now even more in love with my smile. Thank you to Amanda and her staff for the wonderful work and service that you all provide.

I went to the Amanda Gallagher Ortho in Nottingham today and received amazing customer service from Mindy! She was extremely helpful, personable, and professional! This is my 3rd visit, the first 2 were for my consultation/X-rays for my Invisalign. Today I returned to try on my aligners. Everyone at Amanda Gallagher Ortho in Nottingham is extremely helpful and genuinely appear to love what they do! That's a rarity these days! I work in Customer Service as well so great customer service and attention to detail is much appreciated. I also would like to note that Amanda Gallagher Ortho has the coolest top of the line technology! I am so glad that I decided to come to Amanda Gallagher for my dental journey! If you are an adult please think long and hard before undergoing orthodontic treatment here. After almost 2 years of trying to learn to live with the dissapointing results, I want to share my anguish in hopes that it saves someone else similar pain. For 40 years I loved my smile. Now I cry when I see my smile. I went from loving to be photographed, to hiding from pictures even with my kids. I am left with a 'toothy' off-center and uneven smile. Every day I wake up and I regret having sought out treatment here and having been so compliant throughout. I am now faced with a $7k option to fix the damage done to my appearance and my self-esteem. My biggest regret is that I didn't get multiple consultations before jumping into treatment. I realize I had a somewhat tricky case but the several orthodontists I've met with subsequently have shared that they would have treated me differently and that I could have expected a different and more aesthetic outcome. Had I only looked around a little I could have found a different practitioner with more experience and a more hands on approach and I could have saved myself so much heartache and thousands of dollars. **This is the first review I've posted and I put almost 2 years of consideration into it so I'm not sure what you're referring to by saying continually resorting to social media. In all this time this is the first time I've spoken publicly. i was extremely hesitant but I've been losing sleep knowing someone else could endure what I have if I didn't share my experience. My life has been turned upside-down and I hardly think it's unfair to share my personal experience if it might save others the same heart break. You however took less than an hour to contemplate your response which is fitting with your approach to treatment since the 3 other orthodontists I met with have felt my case absolutely could have been handled differently with a more aesthetic outcome. Each and every time you and I met you I had hoped you would research alternative approachs to my case, instead you said the same thing over and over which was defend your choices. You stated you did all there was to be done without breaking my jaw. Every other ortho I've met with has said that's simply not true; there's nothing wrong with my jaw but that that can be a tactic orthos use. I've subsequently met quite a few other potential patients of yours who got that 'diagnoses' from you and they were smart enough to get another consult and went with the other ortho. You can say what you want to say in person or in public but it won't ever take away my reality.

We just finished with my sons braces and his results are wonderful. My son was not an easy patient and the staff did a great job being patient with him. My only criticism and why I'm moving onto another practice for my daughter- the social media presence for the AG brand bothers me. I'm not used to doctors flashing their extravagant lifestyle to their patients. I guess I'm old school and find it to be in poor taste. However, if that doesn't bother you, I don't think you'll find a more talented group of orthodontists!

Dr. Gallagher and her team have been so great to me since I got my braces years ago, and even after I got them off. I always feel very taken care of by them, and they always are patient with me and my questions. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a orthodontist they can trust!

The environment and staff of the establishment is wonderful. Everyone is kind and made my appointments so fun. They get you in and out. Even from the first consultation to getting my invisalign off, they treated me with kindness and respect. I definitely recommend this place to everyone.

I can't describe how great this place is. My bottom teeth had so many issues. I got recommended to this place after the other orthodontist couldn't take any more patients in the prime of Covid. I am now done with my braces treatment and on to retainers that are maintaining my smile. The staff is unbelievably accommodating and has helped with every need and question. If you need a place for the perfect smile, Amanda Gallagher orthodontist is the one to go to.

I had my braces for a year and my teeth look PERFECT. The staff is AMAZING. I always was in and out quickly for each appointment. The staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They also gave me a great care package at my last appointment which included a teeth bleaching kit.
