Dr. Eduardo Alvarez is originally from Peru, graduated from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos in 1985 and as a prosthodontist at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, Peru in 1999, Dr. Alvarez obtained a TMD Fellowship in 2004 and graduated as a prosthodontist in 2010 at the University of Rochester, Eastman Dental Center in New York.
He is a current member of the American College of Prosthodontists and The American Academy of Osseointegration. He specializes in cosmetic dentistry, dentures, implants, crowns and bridges, TMD and sleep apnea. Dr. Alvarez is married with two children.
I personally think that experience goes hand in hand with knowledge and I have been on the dentistry field for 30 years now improving and changing techniques over the years and keeping up with the technology day after day. My goal is to treat all of my patients like family. Providing gentle, kind and professional dental care.
Dr. Tran graduated from Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1999. He returned to his home state, California, and practiced there for 8 years prior to relocating to Virginia in 2008. Dr. Tran is committed to learning and attends extensive continuing education courses throughout the year.

Dr. Alvarez is easily one of the best Crown specialists that I've ever found, my crown is good and it's been 3y already, my wife's crown came off (it was done by someone else) and the replacement crown Dr Alvarez did is great. Gentle, pacient and very flexible as you need it. Hard to find dentist like that.

I had a root canal procedure on two teeth about 6 months ago, and recently one of those teeth has begun to bother me. I called Dr. Alvarez to let him know about what I was feeling in my tooth and his receptionist answered the phone so I told them my issue. I asked to speak with the doctor but at the moment he was busy. When Dr. Alvarez retuned my call, his tone of voice sounded very hostile as he tried to justify the procedure because his receptionist had already told him why I'm calling. Instead of communicating with me in a professional manner in order to resolve my issue, he proceeded to telling me that everyone at his practice are qualified professionals (which I've never doubted) and was extremely rude in doing so. He even went to the extent of cancelling the appointments I had scheduled for my daughters without me requesting he do so. He also stated that any appointment made for any family members would be cancelled. Is this professional? Where did this dentist receive his education? Don't even bother going to Dr. Alvarez with any concerns following a procedure done at his practice.
