Dr. Jason Alvarez received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 2012 from LSU and was born and raised in Louisiana. He is one of the select few who has been chosen to be published in the Journal of the American Academy of Clear Aligners and is a certified provider of Invisalign and ClearCorrect. Dr. Alvarez is also a family man who loves helping other families achieve amazing oral health results.
For both children and adults with developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, and other special needs, what most would consider a routine procedure can be extremely overwhelming. Sometimes, in this case, it is better for the patients safety to utilize sedation dentistry.
Some patients have an extreme fear of dentists and dental procedures. This is very common, but it shouldnt stop you from taking care of your oral health! Sedation dentistry allows for necessary healthcare without the patient suffering.
There are some other cases where the dentist may recommend that a patient consider sedation dentistry. Reasons could include the type or length of a needed procedure, or particular concerns relating to your medical history.
When using IV sedation, you will be completely unconscious during the procedure. The medication is placed directly into the bloodstream through an IV line inside the bend of your elbow. You will be groggy afterwards and will need someone to drive you home.

Great Great Office and as a person who has a lot of dental issues not only did the staff and Dr. Alvarez put me at ease they did not make me feel ashamed of the state of my condition so if your looking for a Dentist give them a try they are wonderful people and the chairs will make you want to sleep .

Everybody in the building was super friendly. Super chill & relaxed vibes all around. Cleanliness is a 5/5. I honestly think that was the first time I had a dentist appointment where I wasn't super nervous. Dr. Alvarez was nice and knowledgeable. Already recommending my friends to set up their appointment here.

Every experience I have had at this office has been amazing! The office staff, hygienists, and Dr. Alvarez are always very kind and care about every patient they see. They truly go above and beyond to make sure their patients are receiving the best care possible! They really take the sting out of going to the dentist!!

Dr. Alvarez and his team are amazing. My husband, my 2 boys (4 and 3 years old) and myself all are treated here and Dr Alvarez is doing my Invisalign. My 4 year old has 2 fillings and I couldn't have been more pleased with how wonderful his treatment was.

Nobody "likes" going to the dentist...but I always enjoy the exceptionally friendly and efficient staff at Beau Sourire Family Dentistry. Their pricing is competitive and services are top level...from cleanings and check-ups to crowns! I refuse to change to another practice whose location would be far easier to use!

Dr. Alvarez and his staff are beyond exceptional! I'm in my late 40's and I have been to numerous dentists. I'm usually negligent in going to my six month, routine appointments, but with Dr. Alvarez and staff, I actually look forward to my visits! They are extremely gentle and always greet me with a smile, and ask me about my family, job, etc. I'm my opinion, that is priceless and a rarity in today's world. When I leave, I'm treated with a hygienically-wrapped warm, lavender-scented towel to apply to my face. They genuinely care about their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez and his amazing staff! I will never go to anyone else. If I could give them 100 stars, I would!

Owner and staff were welcoming, knowledgeable, and conscientious concerning questions and treatment. Very comfortable setting and explanations along with reasonable pricing and detailed descriptions of service. If you're on the northshore this is the place to go. If there was a rating above 5 stars I'd give it, my teeth feel brand new and the experience was more hands on and informative than I've ever experienced at any other previous dental practice.

This is by far one of the most accommodating and friendly dental facilities I've been been to as an adult. I am new to the area and had a filling that had fallen out. They took me in as a new patient, accommodated my timing availability and were so amazing. They stayed open late for me and made sure my tooth and another cavity were fixed all in the same day. You will not be disappointed when choosing this facility.

If you are looking for new Dental services, look no further than Alvarez Dental. Dr. Alvarez is knowledgeable, thorough, personable and kind. Carla the hygienist I saw yesterday was thorough, gentle and personable. Being comfortable with my dentist and hygienist is extremely important to me, after having had a long experience with my former dentist who is now mostly retired. I am so happy to have found Alvarez Dental and heartily recommend them to anyone.

I read reviews before calling and making an appointment with Alvarez Dental and I remember seeing someone mention that they look forward to their dentist appointments at Alvarez and now, I totally get what they meant. Mrs. Pam, Mrs. Sharon and Dr. Alvarez were wonderful. They are kind and personable but still very straightforward. I had a great experience and I look forward to my next visit at AD.
