Dr. Katherine Dangler is a second-generation dentist in Altoona, Pa., and currently serves as Vice President in the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry (PAGD), which represents the most highly trained dentists in general dentistry. Dr. Dangler was one of the youngest dentists in the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) to achieve Mastership status, an award earned by less than 2 percent of dentists in the country that requires more than 1,100 hours of continuing education beyond dental school. Since achieving the award in 2015, Dr. Dangler has continued to accumulate more than 100 continuing education hours each year. Dr. Dangler graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Physiology from West Virginia University, where she went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the universitys School of Dentistry. She is a graduate of several prestigious institutes, including The Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies and the Chesapeake Dental Education Center. Dr. Dangler is currently receiving training in Arizona at Spear Education Center to pursue clinical excellence in dentistry.

Dr. Dangler kept the dental profession going in her family, following in the footsteps of her father, Dr. Dennis DeLeo, who started his dental practice in 1974. Dr. Dangler worked with her father for more than 15 years and bought the practice in 2011.

Dr. Dangler also maintains membership with numerous dental organizations including the American Dental Association, Academy of Genreal Dentistry, World Clinical Laser Institute , Pennsylvania Donated Dental Services, and Spear Study Club.
