Dr. Hlas and Dr. Shirazi both attended the University of Iowa and are active in many leading dental organizations. They regularly give back to the Altoona community through programs such as Donated Dental Services, which provides quality dental care to underprivileged people within the local area. Drs. Hlas and Shirazi are dedicated to providing excellent service in a comfortable, relaxing environment.

Wow, what a great experience! I have been very hesitant to return to a Dentist for many years now after having a very bad experience. All I can say is, These folks were great and I didn't feel a thing! Thank you Altoona Dental for giving me back the confidence to return to the Dentist again. You have a patient for life.

These guys do not ever answer their phone, always get a machine. They don't call back. Their dental work is horrible so I would suggest finding somewhere else. It has been a nightmare working with them, save yourself and your mouth and avoid!

I'm not gonna lie...I've come to this office for several years, so I was quite surprised at my last visit that I didn't recognize a single face until Dr. Chris came in! That being said, the new hygienist was amazing and very gentle. I look forward to seeing her in 6 months!

The dentist assistant was amazing! Made sure I was comfortable and went over the entire procedure of what is being done. I'm almost speechless of Dr. Hlas and his ability to make the shots as painless as possible. Most dentists jam the needle right and your cheek and shoot the numbing stuff within 2 seconds causing all sorts of pain. He goes so slow and you barely even feel the shot. I'll never go to another dentist.

I had a really great experience at this office. I am pretty anxious when it comes to dental appointments and they were very friendly and welcoming here. I felt comfortable and heard about my concerns with my teeth. Highly recommend! Second visit: Same positive experience as my first trip. Very friendly team here. Answered all my questions and concerns. Got a good cleaning and continue to be happy with Altoona Dental :)
