Dentist in Altamonte Springs. We draw most of our patients from Lake Mary, Winter Park, Longwood, and all of Orange and Seminole county. We have several patients that travel from the Tampa and Jacksonville to come see our amazing team.
Our Hygienists Amanda and Jenifer are the best in the biz. They are incredibly gentle, caring, and skilled. Dr. Arnold is very through in his exams, and a perfectionist in his work. Whether it be a simple filling, or a complete smile makeover.
Dr. Arnold is a Cosmetic and Family dentist in Altamonte Springs FL. He loves seeing patients of all ages and thinks it is important that the entire family can be seen at the same dental office. Dr. Arnold has a holistic approach, and uses the most advanced dental technology. Dr. Arnold is known for his ability to listen to his patients and give them the exact care that they need.
Dr. Arnold is originally from the Pacific Northwest, just south of Seattle. However, he has spent his life travelling with a father who worked in construction always taking his family to the next big project. He is now happy to call Altamonte Springs home.
In his spare time he can usually be found outside enjoying the trails and weather of Altamonte Springs. He enjoys riding mountain bikes, hiking, yelling at the TV during football games, and playing board games with his wife Leanne.
He is a graduate of BYU-I where he received a Bachelors of Science in Communications. He also served a 2 year mission for his church in the Colorado Denver South Mission. He then went on to receive his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from Roseman University of Health Science.
Dr. Spencer grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He attended Brigham Young University, majored in Zoology and minored in comparative anatomy. He served a two-year mission for his church from 1970 to 1972. He obtained a Masters in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his dental degree from Emory University in Atlanta Georgia in 1981. Dr. Spencer enjoys serving his community through church service and the Boy Scouts of America where he has served in numerous positions. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Central Florida District Dental Association, the Greater Orlando Dental Society, Central Florida Invisalign Study Club, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Spencer enjoys family activities with his five children, golfing, scuba diving, snowboarding and riding his Harley.
Amanda was born in Ohio and moved to Altamonte Springs when she was a kid. Amanda has been with the practice many years and really enjoys interacting with the patients while providing the best quality care and education possible. Amanda has been married for several years and has one child. She is one of the Best dental hygienists in Altamonte Springs.
Jenifer started with us as a dental assistant. She decided to continue her education in the dental field and went off to college to earn her degree in Dental Hygiene. She has been with us since the beginning of her journey in the dental field, and patients love seeing her smiling face.
Jan has been with the office for over 30 years. Her experience and expertise help navigate the complicate world of insurance and scheduling. She is from Minnesota originally, but has lived in the Altamonte Springs area for the last 30 years.
Evelyn has worked as a dental assistant for over 20 years. She is a pleasure to be around and makes the whole office smile. She spent a long time in California and is a huge sushi fan. She is amazing dental assistant and patients feel at ease around her.
Luisa is our switch hitter, she can do a little of everything. She has a lot of experience at the front office, does medical billing, and is a great assistant as well. She moved to Florida from Connecticut and is loving the sunshine and great people in Florida.
Leanne is an outgoing friendly face around the office, she is a great help with billing and scheduling. She is from Washington state originally and earned her Bachelors Degree in education from BYU. Doctor Arnold and Leanne have been married for 9 years.

Both my husband & I see Dr. Arnold. He is by far the best dentist you could ever go too. He is very knowledgeable, explains everything he is going too do, & after any procedure calls you back to check up on you. His staff is amazing. Leanne is both amazing & compassionate. His assistances are awesome. Amanda, the dental hygienist is sweet & caring. If Dr. Arnold can't help you, he refers you too a specialist who can. I highly recommend Dr. Arnold & staff!

Dr. Arnold and his staff are exceptional. It's truly a family feel with everyone there and they truly have the patients best interest at heart. I trust his opinions as they are honest and accurate. He has always looked at the best and most cost effective methods of treating both my wife and myself. I could go to a dentist in my network and much closer but I value this office too much.

My husband visited this office for over 17 years before moving to Miami. When we leave in Miami we went to 2 dentists for an emergency on one of my husband's teeth. Both dentists wanted to pull out his tooth. Since we had to move back to Orlando, my husband schedule an appointment with Dr. Jay. Dr. Jay save his tooth and addressed other matters in my husband's teeth that needed help. All done with ethics and with a genuine sense of humanity and empathy. Dr. Jay does amazing work. You do not feel they are financially taking advantage of you either from the staff or from the doctor. Because of this, I visited Dr. Jay's office, just to have the same experience as my husband. Our commute to his office is about 45 minutes but is worth it. Dr. Jay and his team take the time to explain everything clearly. The staff is knowledgeable and kind and they make you feel like a superstar in a comfortable, almost family, but very professional environment. The office is clean and pleasant and they have the latest technology. Most importantly, Dr. Jay makes you feel very comfortable and have a very soft hand when working in your mouth. I can't say more about my wonderful experience, but it was superb!

Dr Jay Arnold is one of the best out there. It is really hard to find a dentist you can trust. He is very thorough in your options, great at helping you understand what's happening and ways to prevent it, and a very personable dentist! Thanks to horrible genetics, I have been having the worst time with my teeth. Dr Arnold has helped me through the rough of it. I now have 7 root canals. He has made sure each and everyone of them have been a breeze to get through. He never made me feel bad about my teeth. He has listen and helped create a game plan to keep my teeth healthy and happy! Just yesterday I had to make an emergency trip to see him for an emergency tooth removal. Everyone in the office helped in making that appointment happen. They were all so kind and made me feel at home even though I was in so much pain. The. Dr Arnold came in right away and we immediately went to work once we had the game plan. Even if I have to drive 2+ hours to get to him, I would! Definitely recommend this office!

Am giving the highest rating possible because there are no negatives at all. I've had an implant done and numerous cleanings. No pressure regarding doing more work. Dr. Arnold explains everything he is going to do beforehand and has a calm demeanor so that you are a bit more relaxed. They space their appointments properly so that you don't sit in waiting room waiting. Staff deals with insurance carefully before billing you and they even wrote an appeal for me. I even had an emergency on weekend and Dr. Arnold contacted me within ten minutes and met me at the office within an hour. Cleanings are well done. They treat you old school, unlike many other dentists that have office managers manipulating codes, etc. to maximize profit. I'll stick with this wonderful crew and doctor.

Have been to Altamonte smiles a couple of times now and its been a lovely experience each time. Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. Would definitely recommend going here if searching for a new dentist.

Dr Arnold and his staff are absolutely wonderful. When they took over the practice from Dr Spencer I was scared to death. I'd been a patient of Dr Spencer's since 1987 and thought he was the best. To my surprise, Dr Arnold and his staff are just as professional, knowledgeable, caring, and just down right nice as he was. Dr Arnold is up to date on the latest dental practices and always makes sure you are comfortable and at ease. Thank you all for being so wonderful, I am truly blessed to have you in my life.

Dr. Jay Arnold is nothing short of the best! My son is 6 and was scared to go to the dentist to get cavity fillings and he walked out of there wanting to go back! His staff is so kind and they are all professionals! I would recommend anyone to this practice.

Great Dr. And Staff,found them on line,had wonderful reviews!!! I had an accident,and fell and hit 4 front teeth on kitchen counter, (cracked my counter in two places), jammed my teeth half way up into my gums,my regular dentist couldn't,work me in just look at them,next day,@ 8:01called Dr.J's,office ,they were so sweet and sympathetic ask me how long it would take me to get there , I said 2 minutes ,they said come on in, by this time I was black and blue and in lot of pain!!! They took good care of me even had me stop by a couple times just to look at my teeth and see how they,was progressing without even charging me!!! Still in the middle of the process, but had full X-rays and a cleaning and the hygienist is amazing, gentle and thorough and very sweet!!!

Had surgical procedure to have an implant post placed. The procedure was stress free and over faster than anticipated. Day 2 I received a follow up email checking in on me. I was happy to report that I experienced no pain or swelling. Dr. Arnold and his staff are excellent. They care!!!

Dr Arnold and his entire staff are wonderful. They are all so pleasant and treat you like a family member. Amanda is such a sweet person and I look forward to cleanings. Leanne and Luisa at the front office always have the best smiles when you walk in. No one has ever made me feel rushed and they listen to your concerns or issues. I actually do not mind getting fillings when needed.

If anyone is looking. For a great Dental office in Altamonte Springs Fl... call Altamonte Smiles.. Dr Jay Arnold. His practice uses all hi tech equipment and his work is exceptional. My father was a dentist so Im very particular about who takes care of my teeth. Dr Arnold is honest about what is necessary for keeping your teeth well maintained and is not pushy. His hygienist is very good too. This is a private practice .
