I value the opportunity to meet and care for so many wonderful people from our community. As a dentist, I see people from all walks of life, each with their own dental needs and desires, and each with their own stories to share.
It is my responsibility to learn a patients dental goals and concerns. Since each has a unique manner of communicating, and learns differently, I constantly have to adjust and adapt in order to establish clear understanding. I enjoy this challenge and appreciate the diverse patients I serve.
During the treatment planning process, I am constantly thinking of the patient: what will work best for their situation; what will be the most efficient and comfortable approach that satisfies all of their needs? I only recommend treatment that Id suggest to a family member and am always happy to explain my recommendation and answer patient questions.
I believe the best dental care is a result of open communication between my patient, my team, and me. Together, we achieve beautifully healthy and natural-looking smiles, and keep those smiles in great shape!
The team members strive to make sure our patients feel comfortable and welcome at the office. They are responsive, thoughtful, and caring, and they share my vision of delivering quality dentistry with a soft touch in a tranquil and supportive environment.
The UOP dental program is rigorous and provided an exceptional foundational knowledge of modern dentistry. However, this is an ever-evolving field and it is my responsibility to stay current on emerging dental techniques and products, as well as new technologies.
As an active member of the Placer Academy Study Club and the Spear Study Club, I learn from and with my peers, as well as oral healthcare specialists. I also take a range of courses through the American Dental Association and California Dental Association.
Originally from Los Angeles, I now live in Rocklin with my supportive husband and our two boys. Outside of work, the boys keep me busy with their many activities and interests. I try to make time to exercise and stay fit, but taking care of my family is my top priority.
At Alta Vista Dental, Dr. Aman Sandhar and her team do more than fix teeth. Here, we care for the person who owns the smile, taking time to learn who the person is, listening to their goals and concerns, and respecting their unique needs.
Our practice is based on relationships and relationships require communication. Starting with your new patient visit, well spend time asking about your life, pastimes, general health, and dental health history and goals.
In turn, we will provide ethical treatment recommendations, thoroughly review all treatment and financial options, and directly answer questions. Rather than push you into a particular treatment, we will empower you to make educated, informed decisions about your smiles health!
We welcome new patients at our Auburn, CA dental office, which serves the Lincoln/Placer County area including neighboring cities such as Roseville, Rocklin, Auburn, Granite Bay, Yuba City, Citrus Heights, and Folsom.

I have been going to Dr. Sandhar and highly recommend her. Its the first time I've actually enjoyed going to a dentist. She makes you feel at ease and explains the procedure so you're aware of what to expect. She and her staff are friendly, accommodating and efficient. I also enjoy the calm relaxed setting of her office.

Today was an extremlely important day for me. I had literally been waiting for this evening for years. As I was headed out of the door, a front tooth that had been cracked since 2005 during military service, finally half broke off and disappeard. I called more than 6 random dentist's offices that said no... Thank god I called Alta Vista who said they would wait for me. It was an hour before closing and I was a ways away. I got in a wreck with a semi truck on the way, causing further delays. They still accepted me even though they had their own personal plans and it was past business hours. The experience was better than I can remember having at a dentist, and the repair looked perfect. She and staff were very nice the entire time. Even while taking time out their own personal plans to save mine. I had been previously looking for a dentist I liked since retiring from the Air Force. My teenage son and I have been going to see Dr. Sandhar for about 4yrs and would highly recommend her. Dr. Sandbar and her staff are very personal, knowledgeable, experienced and polite. Always a clean, bright and relaxing atmosphere.

I enjoy going here everybody here is awesome! The doctor is professional and knows what she's doing. I'm doing my veneers with her and she made them look so perfect and straight nothing compare to my old veneers I did at a different office.

The office is clean, warm and welcoming. Dr Sandhar is very knowledgeable and took her time explaining different treatment options and answered all my questions. During treatment, she was very gentle I did not feel a thing! Her cosmetic dentistry is flawless! she worked on my front teeth. I have been getting so many compliments. Her team was knowledgeable and always ran on time. I highly recommend Alta Vista Dental and thank you Dr Sandhar for giving me a beautiful smile.
