Each year I complete many hours of continuing education. By learning breakthrough techniques, and staying current on new technology, I am able to deliver the best results for my patients. Ive received hands-on training in Invisalign, high-tech superelastic metals, and numerous other orthodontic options.
I now live in Sandy with my wife, Heidi Ryan. Were the proud parents of four children: three sons and a daughter. Our oldest son, Tony Jr., followed in my footsteps and is now an orthodontist. Our two younger sons, Jeff and David, elected to pursue degrees in medicine. And our daughter Sarah is currently attending BYU.

I love Dr Skanchy and his team and recommend them to anyone needing braces or Invisalign. I felt so comfortable there and I hate the dentist so that means a lot coming from me. I love my new smile!

Our son needed a palate expander and braces to correct a cross-bite and we couldn't be happier with our experience provided by Dr. Skanchy. His staff are knowledgeable and caring and my favorite part, I've never been placed on hold when I call. They answer right away and are accommodating to any schedule changes that come up. My son actually looks forward to the appointments and visits with Dr. Skanchy and his new smiles says it all!

I've been going through Invisalign treatment with Dr. Skanchy and the Alta View Ortho team for about 2 years now and I have nothing but good things to say about every single person in that office. Walking in that first day, I knew that my case was going to be a difficult one but it didn't even matter because Skanchy and the team made sure that they would do everything possible to ensure I'd leave with a smile that I loved. I'm getting closer to finishing treatment and I'm shocked at the results I'm seeing. Not only this but everyone is always so friendly and answers any questions I have. I'm legit going to be sad once the treatment is finally done because that will mean I won't be able to see these amazing people anymore! So once again, shoutout to Dr. Skanchy and all of his awesome staff members for making me feel like family every time I stop by!

They often have staff working on patients that are training, they take longer, aren't gentle, haven't yet learned all of the "little tricks of the trade." I'm trying to be patient, but today I was constantly being poked by long acrylic fingernails.
