Dr. Zaid Alsamiris a native of Richmond, Virginia. He attended the University of Virginia and received his B.A. in Biology. Following his undergraduate studies, Dr. Alsamir earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. He then moved to Chicago to practice general dentistry. After a couple of years, Dr. Alsamir was excited to return to Virginia and settle back in Richmond.
He is happy to be back working in his home state alongside Dr. Trawick. Dr. Alsamir believes that excellence in dental practice requires ongoing education and commitment to strong ethical standards. He is certified in Invisalign and has completed continuing education courses on sleep apnea and full mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Alsamir is a member of theAmerican Dental Association,Virginia Dental Association,Richmond Dental Society,International Team for Implantology, American Academy of General Dentistry, and International Congress of Oral Implantologists
Dr. Nicholas Pappas, a native of Virginia, graduated from the University of Virginia with a Bachelors degree in Biology and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Pappas and Dr. Alsamir were classmates at UVA and dental school! After dental school, Dr. Pappas was commissioned as an Officer in the United States Air Force as a dentist. During his service with the Air Force, he completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. It was during this time he met his wife, Kelly, and had an opportunity to be stationed and serve at Travis Air Force Base, California and Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina. After his time in the military, he completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Iowa, where he finished with a Master of Science in Orthodontics and received a certificate in Orthodontics.
He has volunteered for the Mission of Mercy(MOM) dental clinics, workswith Smiles for Children, and participates in the Donated Dental Program. Hiscommitment to providing access to dental care to those who have none led Dr. Trawickto Haiti. He has worked to take dental care to Haiti for over twenty-fiveyearsproviding care himself while leading groups of other dental professionalsand helpers.

Dr. Trawick enjoys being an active member in his community and has been a soccercoach, church member, and officer and member of the BMW Lyons Club. He and hiswife live locally and enjoy traveling and spending time with their family.
