I graduated in the inaugural class of the University of Utah School of Dentistry after earning a Bachelors degree summa cum laude from Utah Valley University. I chose a career in dentistry because its an exciting conglomeration of science and art, and I love seeing and getting to know my patients in beautiful Eagle River, AK.
My wife, Amie, was born and raised in Alaska. We live in Eagle River with our spunky daughter, Claire, and our smiley new son, Parker.For us, Alaska is home. I love the fresh air, the neighborly culture, and living so close to Amies family. In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors with my family, attending community events and festivals, and playing the guitar.
It is my highest priority to make all my patients feel like a part of our Alpine family. I believe every patient should feel respected, comfortable, and completely confident with their smile. I strive to provide gentle, quality dental care with a professional and personable attitude.
Im a lifelong Alaskan and have been in Eagle River since 2006. I love Alaska and the outdoors! I spend most of my time with my husband, Kevin, and our daughters, Sofie and Quinn. Hockey is my sport and the winter holidays are my favorite time of the year. I enjoy reading, writing, and all things creative/DIY. I also enjoy new adventures and experiences!
Ive been in the dental field since 2016 and absolutely love it. I enjoy meeting new patients, and I do my best to make their visits pleasant and comfortable. My husband and I moved to Alaska from Oregon in 2018 when he was given the opportunity to open a wheel and tire shop in Anchorage. In the three years we have been here, we have truly fallen in love with this beautiful state. My husband recently got his pilot license. In our spare time, we love to explore Alaska from the sky above. We have a little girl who is full of life and keeps us on our toes!
Before graduating from dental hygiene school in 2016, I was a dental assistant for five years. I absolutely love what I do and pride myself on building trustworthy relationships with my patients, which helps me provide them with the best care possible. My favorite part of working in dental care is seeing the difference I make in patients' oral healthcare.
My name is Nicole. I was born and raised in Southern California. I moved to Alaska in 1999 to be closer to my husbands family. I have been in the dental field since 1998 and started as a dental assistant and moved on to a scheduling coordinator. I graduated from Concorde Career College for dental hygiene in 2014 with honors. Serving my community as a dental hygienist has been a lifelong goal and has been achieved with success. I am an enthusiastic hygienist and will go out of my way to exceed my patients expectations.
I have two daughters, Joselyn and Tessa, and have been married to my husband Tony since 2000. I enjoy reading, cooking, going on nature walks, gardening, trips to Disneyland, and spending quality time with my family.
I was raised in Eagle River, Alaska. I graduated from the UAA Dental Assisting Program, and Im so glad to be part of a growing, caring, professional family practice. As a dental assistant, I help people improve their oral health. I enjoy providing patients with the best care possible while making them feel comfortable. My favorite part of the dental field is getting to know patients, seeing them smile, and knowing I made a difference in their lives.

Dr Kocherhans and his amazing, friendly staff went above and beyond to prioritize my needs. It's never fun going into a new dentist needing immediate attention, but Dr Kocherhans got me in for a visit in a timely manner, and made the overall experience comfortable and hassle free. Other dental offices turned me away for insurance purposes but the Alpine family prioritized my dental needs first, and worried about finances last. I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone for an incredible painless experience! I cannot thank the Alpine team enough for what they've done for me and my smile!

Had my first appointment with Alpine Family Dentistry today and the entire experience and team were excellent. Best experience I've had at a dentist office across the board--facilities, scheduling, reception and covid screening, thoroughness of my cleaning and exam, an additional treatment done same day, and seamless insurance and billing. What a friendly and professional team!

I had a very good experience as a first time patient at Alpine Family Dentistry. They seem to have all the latest and greatest technology. Dr. Brett was great at explaining different options for dealing with a baby tooth that I still have.

I haven't had to many great experiences at the dentist, but who hasn't! They have great staff and Dr. K is awesome. I had a great first visit. They staff was very knowledgeable and was happy inform me of everything. I will be back and will recommend others.

The cleaning service I got from dental assistant Rachel was incredible! She took her time and made sure I was good throughout the cleaning. They are so knowledgeable and happy to answer any question you have. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a dentist!! Dentist Brett Kocherhans was so nice as well! Very respectful man. I can tell they all love their job by the way they treat their patients!!

Front office staff were friendly, knowledgeable and responsive. Hygienist was kind and did a thorough job - both in cleaning my teeth and answering questions. Dr. Kocherhans listened to my concerns and was overall just fabulous. Highly recommend to anyone!
