At Alpine Dentistry, we have deep knowledge and versatile training to care for all your family members. Dr. Buccellato was inspired by the friendly, supportive family dentist he had as a child to establish his own similar practice as an adult. As a Detroit native, he earned his dentistry degree at theUniversity of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry, where he learned to care for patients with compassionate skills. Outside of his practice, he loves spending time outdoors, a favorite pastime of many Colorado residents. He has a special interest in oral restoration techniques, including dentures and implants.

Dentures are a removable prosthetic device that replaces an entire arch of missing teeth. Dentures are typically made out of acrylic, making them realistic-looking and comfortable. Your new dentures can last for anywhere from five to seven years when taken care of properly. Dentures not only enhance your smile by replacing missing dentition, but they can fill in sunken areas of the face, giving a more youthful appearance.

Dentures are ideal for most patients who are completely missing their teeth.Extractionsmay be required before being fitted with a denture, but this can easily be done at your own convenience. Dentures themselves require no surgery and are made personally for each patient. This provides a comfortable, easy fit that youll feel confident wearing each day. Dentures are easy to care for and can be removed and soaked overnight for optimal freshness and bacterial removal.

The licensed denturists make all their dentures in the dental labs at Alpine Dentistry. This is a great advantage, as you can see your dentures throughout the process. Along the way, your denturist can modify the fit and make changes to ensure your final smile is one you adore.

Have you lost your teeth as a result of an illness, injury, or prolonged decay? Do you need full dentures? If so, immediate dentures might be the right choice for you. Immediate dentures mean you never have to be without teeth.

Partial dentures are used when some natural teeth remain. The most common type of partials has a cast metal frame. If youre a good candidate, your denturist will measure your jaw and build models of your mouth so they can construct your new set of dentures in the lab accurately and efficiently.

Acrylic partial dentures are less expensive than metal ones but dont last as long. Acrylic partials are usually a short-term solution thats worn while your dentist makes permanent bridges or partials.

If several teeth need to be removed before a denture can be placed, this procedure will be done prior to being fitted with a new denture plate. You will then need to come into our office to have impressions taken of your gums and any remaining teeth in the mouth. These impressions are used to carefully create a new denture for you to wear. Youll come into our office and have the denture placed and adjusted as needed. Your new denture will fit comfortable and allow you to eat, chew and speak normally. If youve never worn dentures before, it may take a few weeks for you to get used to wearing them. Its important to soak and brush your dentures daily to remove bacteria, plaque and to get rid of odors.

Partial dentures are similar to full dentures in that they are a removable appliance, but they are different because the appliance only has several teeth attached to it. Partial dentures are specific to patients who still have most of their natural teeth, but who have a lot of teeth missing to warrant needing a prosthetic device. The partial denture is worn similarly to an orthodontic retainer and clips easily onto either the upper or lower arch. You can remove the partial denture any time it needs to be cleaned or to soak it overnight.

Partial dentures are normally needed if you are missing a lot of your natural teeth. You may still have many healthy teeth in your mouth that do not need to be extracted but the partial is there to fill in spaces between missing teeth. Partials can prevent your existing teeth from shifting and can improve the look and feel of your smile. Partials, like full dentures, are made specifically for each patient so that they fit comfortably and correctly. Your partial denture can last for many years before it will need to be replaced. If youve never worn a partial denture before, it may take you a few weeks to get used to how it feels and sits in the mouth. The procedure to create the partial is similar to full dentures, but only several teeth are added to the appliance.

Patients may enjoy the benefits of alternative options to dentures. There is a procedure that combines implant dentistry with dentures. Those that need complete dentures can benefit by having a secure way to have anchored dentures using implant-supported dentures. These snap-in dentures are somewhat interchangeable and a great option for a stronger and more secure fit.

If you live in the Colorado Springs CO area, we can examine your gums and let you know if you are a good candidate for the procedure. In this scenario, an impression is taken of your mouth in order to create a denture that will be secured in place using implants.

All on 4 dental implants, (also known as mini-dental implants) are a great option for restoring your upper or lower smile. These can be placed without the need for extensive bone grafting and are an excellent tooth replacement alternative to dentures.

Also known as Stabilized dentures this option is great for patients may be the right option if you are struggling with uncomfortable, painful, or ill-fitting dentures. Implant dentures provide more support and strength. They can snap-in or be permanent dentures.

A stay plate is a temporary partial or full denture that is placed in the mouth after teeth have been extracted and are healing. Having a permanent denture placed immediately after surgery can affect the fit and require new plates to be made. The stay plate is responsible for enhancing your smile while the underlying gum tissue and bone are healing. The stay plate is only a temporary solution and needs to be followed with a permanent denture or partial.

You may be advised to have a stay plate made if youre going to be having several or all of your teeth removed. After the teeth are removed, the gums and underlying bone need time to heal. For most patients, heal time can be several months long. Instead of being without teeth during this time,a stay plate is designed to help create a natural-looking smile as well as make it easier for you to eat, chew and speak.

Most patients who have had teeth extracted or are going to have teeth extracted can benefit from a stayplate. This temporary denture option is relatively durable and can withstand quite a bit of pressure and force when worn. Once your gums and underlying bone have healed after surgery, you will need to have permanent dentures made. The permanent partial or full denture is designed to create a natural-looking smile.

After you have had teeth extracted, we will take impressions of your mouth. These impressions are sent to a lab where a stay plate is made for you. The stay plate will be placed into your mouth and adjusted for a more comfortable fit.The stay plate is completely removable, so you can take it out when and if you want.Once the gums and underlying bone have healed from the extractions, youll need to come back in to have the permanent appliances made for you.

Alpine dentistry is the perfect blend of a family owned dentistry with current and best procedures. The staff is friendly and highly skilled. Dr. Buccellato is an amazing and caring dentist. I have been a patient of theirs since before Dr. Buccellato took over the practice, one of the things I like most is that Dr. Buccellato does not ever try to stick you with unnecessary dental work. He is methodical in his approach and only advices surgery when it is absolutely necessary. Also, he stands by his work. I highly recommend Alpine dentistry, best in the Springs IMO.

Friendly staff. Any questions I have, they are able to answer. When it comes to Dentistry, Doctor will explain different options that I may have in fixing my Dental issues. I feel very comfortable and I know I'm in good care. Entire staff are very professional, kind and very knowledgeable. MaryAnn who handles the insurance side of the house, goes the extra mile and gives more than 100% in processing insurance claims, she's the best. Dr. Brian, explains all procedures. He too is one of the best, and I feel very comfortable under his care. I've been going to Alpine Dentistry for many years. Always 100% satisfied with all dental work.

I mentioned right away that I had a severe mistrust of dentists from my time in the military. They seemed willing to help...until my insurance was starting to run out. Then they replaced the lining on my dentures making them so uncomfortable they were unusable, then told me insurance wouldn't cover it so I had to pay for the lining that ruined my dentures out-of-pocket. I wouldn't have let them ruin my dentures at all, especially if I knew they were going to make me pay for it (without telling me first). They haven't bothered checking on their patient or the quality of their work for over a year, and I haven't been able to wear my dentures since Alpine Dentistry ruined them. If you're looking for a decent dentist, I don't think you'll find any these days. I'm much more comfortable living my life (including eating) without a top row of teeth than I would be contacting Buccellato's office again.

At 50, I thought pain and less than perfect results were just the norm in most dentistry. Not true and Dr Buccellato proved it. Both he and his staff are mindful, friendly, and extremely professional. While I won't say I want dental work done every day, they make the process as easy and painless as I've experienced.

I just moved to Colorado and left my favorite dentist back In Pennsylvania so my new dentist had some big shoes to fill, well the first dentist I tried was good but very expensive, when someone referred me to dr Brian, I was a bit skeptical at first but I was extremely surprised with how patient, professional, polite, gentle and knowledgeable he is!! I have great anxiety going to a dentist so finding one that was understanding was very important. I had to have a badly infected tooth extracted and I have to say I was dreading it, but I need not have worried, this was the best experience I could have hoped for!! I felt almost no pain with the shots to numb my mouth and even with this being a very large tooth, Dr Brian took it out so gently I hardly noticed the procedure!! I had NO pain or discomfort at all!!! I was expecting pain when the anesthetic wore off but again I was astonished that I had absolutely NO pain!!! I was also shocked at the bill, it was half of what the other dentist was going to charge me even with a 25% discount! And Dr Brian 's receptionist gave me a discount because I do not have insurance!! I will recommend Dr Brian to everyone and I am staying with this practice for all my dental needs. Dr Brian you have filled my previous dentists shoes and then some I can't thank you enough for your kindness Patience professionalism and gentleness!!!!
