Dr. Debora Klein earned her dental doctorate in 1981 from Northwestern University. She has been the primary practitioner and owner of Alpine Dental Practice since its inception. While Dr. Klein is a highly trained and experienced general dentist, she specializes in treating people with issues like bruxism, jaw pain, headaches and sleep apnea through the use of oral appliances. She is one of the few dentists in Illinois who specializes in these types of treatment and has attended extensive continuing education specifically related to these disorders.
Dr. Klein is the first woman in the state of Illinois to be board certified by bothThe American Academy of Craniofacial PainandThe American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. Her vast knowledge, outgoing personality and compassionate demeanor will make you feel at ease while in her care.

Dr. Christian Nolten, born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, has moved to the Chicago area and joined the Alpine Dental team! Dr. Nolten obtained his DMD at Temple University School of Dentistry, completed his residency at the University of Michigan, and has been practicing dentistry for the past twelve years. His thirst for continuing education is evident in his lengthy CV in prosthetics, perio and restorative implant dentistry. Christian is skilled in CAD/CAM dentistry as well as extensive experience in removable prosthodontics and sleep apnea therapy. Most recently he received advanced TMJ/TMD treatment training at Duke University.
His desire to help his community is clear from a lengthy nursing home staff position where he placed dentures for numerous elderly patients as well as a mission trip in 2019 to serve the people of Guatemala.
Jo is our office manager. Jo brings with her many skills acquired in her work history, including having worked in attorneys offices as well as being office manager for manufacturers reps in the toy industry for 15 years. Jo feels it a privilege to be working with such a talented, skilled staff at Alpine Dental. She appreciates the friendly, caring attitude of every member of our staff which translates to excellence for our patients.
Tammy graduated from Harper College with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1995 and has been with Alpine Dental for over a decade and our patients love her knowledge of their oral care, as well as her thorough yet gentle touch and warm smile. She loves her job at Alpine Dental because the staff and the patients feel like family to her. Her passion is for her patients health and well-being.
We are thrilled to introduce you to our newest team member, Rosemary! Rosemary graduated from Marquette University in 1987 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. She comes to us with 29 years of experience performing preventive dentistry and patient education with a gentle touch and encouraging smile. Rosemary is excited to be part of the progressive and enthusiastic team at Alpine Dental and looks forward to meeting our patients and helping them achieve optimal oral health.
Mark has been at Alpine Dental since the fall of 2017 and has been learning the fields of orthodontics, medical sleep dentistry, and the use of orthopedic appliances. In the past three years, Mark has become skilled with the fabrication of oral appliances. Every day offers wonderful opportunities to better understand the extensive yet understated benefits and importance of correcting sleep disorders and TMD, in addition to providing general dentistry to all our patients.
Mark feels it is an enormous privilege to work with Dr. Klein (Mom) and all the extraordinary staff and enriching environment at Alpine Dental. Alpine Dental has afforded Mark the chance to share his passion for helping others and satiate a hunger for knowledge so as to improve the lives of each patient, one day at a time.
Mark is passionate about his wife and daughter and is a diehard lover of all things nature, as well as music, arts science, engineering and so much more. He considers himself very fortunate to have such an amazing family, coworkers, and patients and lives in unyielding gratitude every day for all of it.
Kristine joined the Alpine Dental team in August 2020. She brings with her 36 years of dental experience. Originally trained as a certified general dental assistant, she left the general dental world and pursued a career as a surgical assistant. Kris became a certified anesthesia assistant and worked in the field of oral surgery for 5 years before returning to general dentistry. Kristine is a CPR instructor as well.
She brings with her a wealth of knowledge in complex restorative dentistry, an understanding of occlusion and the importance it has on whole-body health. She enjoys developing strong relationships with patients and their care is of the utmost importance. Kristine enjoys working with such a skilled, professional, and caring staff.
Kristine has 3 grown children (2 daughters and 1 son). She enjoys spending time with her 2 dogs Gabby and Addison and her companion Christopher. She spends her free time boating, running, cooking, and 4-wheeling around the trails in Apple Canyon Lake.
Amy has been a part of Alpine Dental since 1986. She loves working with the team and is passionate with helping patients. Her dedication and enthusiasm makes every experience enjoyable and stress-free. Amy uses her many skills to provide excellent patient care. She is also very knowledgeable when it comes to both medical and dental insurance, and can help maximize your benefits.
Helga began working at Alpine Dental in April 2015. Prior to joining our team, she worked 3 years as a Pharmacy Technician at a small, independent pharmacy, and 25 years providing Administrative and Customer Service support in the corporate world. Helga, very much, enjoys working with all of the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Alpine Dental, as well as meeting and serving all of our patients.

Infection control has always been a top priority in our practice. We follow recommendations and guidelines made by theAmerican Dental Association (ADA), theCenters for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and theOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). This allows us to make sure that our infection control procedures are up-to-date and enables us to provide the safest environment for our patients and their family members.
We will start to see patients for routine visits June 1. We ask that you please be patient and understand that we will do our best to accommodate your scheduling needs as we know many of you are anxious to get back into our office.
Upon arrival at our office,call us from your carto let us know you have arrived. A staff member will come out to greet you. Please leave all your possessions at home or in your car (including coat, purse, etc.) except for your car keys.
Every person entering the office is expected to wear a face covering (one will be provided if you do not have one) and will be asked to sanitize their hands immediately upon entry. We will confirm no fever with a contactless thermometer upon your arrival.
