Alpine Dental Health began as a single dental office in Fort Collins more than 40 years ago. In that small community, patients seen one day often became friends the next. In 2005, the retiring owner found just the right dentists to carry forward this legacy. Dr. Michael Mick McDill and Dr. Todd Rosenzweig, friends from way back in dental school at the University of Colorado, have been at the helm ever since, growing and enhancing Alpine Dental Health to care for patients in the best possible way.
Dr. McDills and Dr. Rosenzweigs partnership has been strong, and Alpine Dental Health continues to flourish. Why? Alpine Dental Health now has four locations, all along Colorados Front Range: in Downtown Denver, Central Boulder, West Fort Collins and Downtown Fort Collins.

In this spirit, it is important that you have regular, comprehensive dental and periodontal (gum) exams, which, in addition to decay detection, include an oral cancer screening, gum tissue examination, and evaluation of your biting force and the function of your jaw. The information that we discover during these exams helps us to put together a complete diagnosis as well as a comprehensive treatment plan for you.

Regardless of the type of business, many customer reviews sound the same... Great customer service, I highly recommend them, you should go there... But why? Why was it great, why do you recommend them, why should I go there? I'm sharing the WHY behind my reason for taking the time to write a review, not just for Dr. Seth Cowden but also for his assistant Alicia and the front office staff; Morgan, Melissa and Stephanie at Alpine Dental Health. From day one when I called to make an appt, the front office staff's caring attitude was apparent, without a request from me they automatically set my appt for several minutes later to accommodate my arrival time via bus rather than have me take an earlier bus and sit and wait in the lobby. I have been met with smiling faces for all of my appts. They have also been VERY patient with all my insurance questions. Alicia, Dr. Cowden's assistant, has listened to LOTS of questions and concerns about my teeth and what needs to be done, and after 3 visits she still takes whatever time is needed to answer all my questions. When I ask if she'll explain the different steps of any of the procedures, not only does she do so without complaint, but she truly appears to enjoy sharing the knowledge. She is so caring that she even took the time to go over in detail new equipment I would be using to be sure the process would go smoothly for me. Dr. Cowden is very personable just like his staff, and you can tell he's smiling behind that mask by his eyes and the lilt in his voice as he speaks with you. He has not only taken great care to explain his findings, the options available and his thoughts, but even more importantly he has truly listened to my concerns. Rather than just writing up a treatment plan and charging forward he has taken into account any other medical issues at hand to be sure that anything that could affect those issues is taken care of first. He has made sure I'm comfortable throughout all procedures, and he's a pro with the injections! While getting a root canal, I asked if he would turn up his music, he did, here I was in a dental chair, playing the drums on my legs and I swear I think I heard Doc and Alicia singing along. The only problem I had with my root canal was not being able to dance while it was going on :). Dr. Cowden truly cares and makes every effort to find options for what you need to take care of your teeth. My most recent experience truly cemented in my mind what I'd known all along, in this office you are not a number in the computer, you aren't even just a person walking through their door for an appt, you are someone that Dr. Cowden, Alicia, Morgan, Melissa and Stephanie truly care about. You'll walk in for a dental appt and you'll walk out feeling like you've gained a new group of friends. The best way to share how a visit with Dr. Seth Cowden and all his staff can make you feel, is to share how on one occasion I was having one of those "Monday" type mornings... You know the kind, where you want to climb back under the covers and try getting up again later to see if things will run smoother? Well, that's how my morning was going before I arrived there and within minutes I was smiling AND even after several fillings, I left there feeling great and thinking how ironic that a visit to the dentist turned my day around for the better ! That's just how fantastic they all are...It's obvious they are all caring people who love their jobs! NOW I understand WHY my neighbors were SO EXCITED when talking about Dr. Seth Cowden and his staff, when recommending I make my next dental appt with there...I definitely thanked them for the recommendation :)! Never liked going to the dentist? Go meet Dr. Seth Cowden and his staff, I'm betting your experience with them will change your mind.

Alpine West provides the best dental care I have received in my adult life. I have a complicated dental history and there hasn't been anything they weren't able to address. From the hygienist to the doctor to the front desk staff - everyone is professional and kind. Highly recommend.

Dr. Seth is extremely kind, gentle and patient with your questions and care. I was seeking help and questions regarding a new crown for two years and he is the only dentist who sat down to teach me about the crown, brainstorm how to try to help with minimal invasion, and generally make me feel heard. My experience prior was dismissal. Highly recommend him! His gentle demeanor and approach is a total bonus.

Love Alpine Dental so much, I tell everyone I know! I've been a patient for twenty years and moved our whole family of six over to this practice, young and old. They are kind, courteous and never miss a beat. I trust their diagnoses and recommendations to continuously keep optimally healthy teeth. As a disclaimer, both locations are fantastic!

The best dental office I've ever been to, I've been a patient of theirs since 2019 and they are always nice and professional, the front desk staff are extremely friendly. Cleaning sessions with Jenn are great and Dr.Cowden is always so professional, he cares so much about the patients and they have always been super accommodating for my needs. I highly recommend them.

Avoid this practice. We chose this dentist due to the close proximity to our home and they take our insurance. They cancelled on both my husband and myself on the day of our appointments (different days) due to dentist illness (which is understandable). We rescheduled our appointments for the next available date (about a month later). I went in for my rescheduled appointment only to find they had no record of scheduling my appointment (which I scheduled in person). The only appointment they had on their schedule for me was 6 months out. The soonest they could get me in was another month out. This practice is unreliable and appears to be in the practice of wasting potential patients time. I would avoid this place. Once is understandable, twice is unacceptable.

Dr. Cunningham is the best! She is Not aggressive with treatment plans. Dr. Cunningham cares about her patients, and you can tell she appreciates the team she works with! Fort Collins, Colorado is lucky to have a dentist with her skill set and passion!

I can't say enough about how happy I am with the service I received at Alpine. I feel like the staff were considerate, patient, and kind. I personally have never been a fan of the dentist or the appointments associated, and have the smile to prove it. That being said, we have a plan and after some work today, I can honestly say I am excited for my next visit. Which might be the best thing I can say about a dentist.

The dental team is very knowledgeable and the Dr. Cowden is very detailed and explained everything he saw and showed me photos and now I understand what he was trying to explain. I've never had a dentist be so comprehensive.

Dr. Cowden and his staff are always professional, friendly, and courteous. They have walked me through the Invisalign process and have been very accommodating when scheduling. Alicia has been a great assistant in a lot of my appointments. They always make sure I know my options and what to expect, while never pressuring me into certain decisions. 100% recommend!

I recently changed dentists to Alpine. Dr Cunningham saw me for my initial visit. Although I needed four fillings , she and her assistant did them really efficiently on the same day, and I am really happy with the results. I'd definitely recommend these folks.
