Sure it was the beauty of the outdoors and the endless recreational possibilities that brought Drs. Ferguson and Bybee to Bend, but what keeps them here is youthe patients of Alpine Dental and the prospect of meetingnew patients they have yet to serve.
In preparation for Dr. Millers retirement, Dr. Bybee and Dr. Ferguson met and the more they chatted, the more these two Bend, OR dentists realized how much they had in common. Both come from large families; both value the same things in life; and both want to care for families and offer their skills for the good of the community. So, it made sense for the two of them to practice together upon Dr. Millers retirement.
Upbeat and relaxed, they believe the hallmarks of a good general dentist are to really listen to their patients, communicate well and explain ones options before any treatment is scheduled. They also believe in never compromising the quality of care provided, e.g., like pushing the latest fads when they dont work as well as tried-and-true general dentistry procedures. Nor, do these general dentists limit the time thats needed to make a patient feel comfortable and at ease.
I want my patients to know that the relationships that are formed over a lifetime of practice are very important to me. Continue to ask me questions, and I will always give you an honest and fair assessment of your dental needs.
Dr. Ferguson has practiced as a local dentist in Bend, OR for 14 years. He grew up in Boise Idaho, where he received his undergraduate degree in biology from Boise State University and enjoyed being a member of both the football and wrestling teams. He then attended Indiana University for his dental training, in which he graduated with honors, and was a member of the National Dental Honor Society.
His love of art and biology in college, and the love of fixing things with his hands led him to dentistry. Plus, the fact that he knew many dentists while growing up who seemed to enjoy what they did further encouraged him to pursue dentistry as a career.
For me, the best part of my job is to get to know my patients and their families, and have them leave here happy and satisfied. I advise each patient as if I was advising a family member and they value this.
Dr. Bybee has been a Bend dentist since 2008. He graduated from Westminster College, Salt Lake City in 2003 with a biology major/art minor. Dentistry proved to be the perfect path because it combined both art and science disciplines and would allow him to serve and care for others. Following his undergraduate studies, he attended the University of Marylands Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and graduated in 2007. Following this, he completed his general practice residency and post-doctoral training at the Salt Lake City Veterans Hospital between 2007-2008.
He chose to become a local Bend dentist because of his acquired love of the outdoors and mountains when he grew up in Heber City, Utah. In his free time, youll catch him mountain biking, fly-fishing and skiingand also creating the most beautiful pottery and ceramics.
