Our expert team, led by endodontic specialists Dr. Stephen A. Parente and Dr. Justin M. Parente includes an experienced endodontic staff. Each doctor has completed a special two-year residency in endodontics that includes extensive training with the dental operating microscope. In all, each doctor has performed thousands of root canal treatments, comfortably and at the highest level.
Dr. Justin and Dr. Stephen continuously strive to both learn and educate within the dental community. They belong to and lecture at multiple dental study clubs, and return to the GHSU dental school to educate the students there. They display case reports and relate clinical tips to a large population of dentists from around the world on their facebook page, www.facebook.com/alpharettaendo, and as contributing authors to the endoblog, www.theendoblog.com. Dr. Justin also serves as a scientific advisor reviewing article submissions to the Journal of Endodontics.

Stephen A. Parente received his bachelor's degree from the University of Buffalo where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and was awarded membership into Phi Beta Kappa. He then attended dental school at Columbia University and was awarded membership into OKU dental honors society for academic achievement. Dr. Parente furthered his dental education with a one year general practice residency before practicing general dentistry in New York. After 14 years as a general dentist, Dr. Parente went back to school for specialty training in endodontics at the Medical College of Georgia and received his specialty certificate in 1997.
Dr. Parente lives in Alpharetta with his wife, Donna, and his daughter, Jordan. His son Jonathan graduated law school from the University of Georgia. His son Justin is also an endodontist and has joined him in private practice. He enjoys coaching basketball, playing guitar, and spending time with his family.
Dr. Parente has presented at the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting and at his local chapter of the Seattle Study Club. He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Georgia Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Hinman Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, Southern Endodontic Study Group, and the Seattle Study Club.
Dr. Justin M. Parente is from here in Alpharetta and attended the University of Georgia. After three years at UGA, he was accepted early into dental school at the Medical College of Georgia. While at dental school, he earned awards for clinical excellence in both periodontics and endodontics, as well as awards for academic achievement and the highest score on the national boards. Dr. Parente was recognized as distinguished Hinman scholar and was inducted into OKU dental honors society upon graduation. He then completed the two year endodontic specialty program at the Medical College of Georgia. At the annual meeting of the American Association of Endodontists, Dr. Parente presented and won an award for his research on endodontic irrigation. He has joined his father in private practice, but often returns to lecture and mentor students in endodontics at the Medical College of Georgia. He lives in Alpharetta and enjoys playing guitar, reading books, and drawing art.
Dr. Parente is a clinical adjunct faculty at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and has presented on endodontics at the American Association of Endodontists annual meeting as well as at many dental study clubs throughout the southeast. He serves as a scientific advisor for the Journal of Endodontics, peer reviewing research submissions.
He is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the Georgia Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the Hinman Dental Association, the Northern District Dental Society, Southern Endodontic Study Group, the Alpha Omega Dental Society and the Seattle Study Club.

Alpharetta Endodontics- Dr. Justin Parente; Very confident and smart for a younger doctor which made me feel really comfortable. Easygoing but, exact..a perfectionist. I had 3 root canals over a couple months and it was all covered under my initial payment. Welcoming and warm staff. I am so glad my dentist Dr. Dodson recommended his practice. Again very relaxed, yet professional environment. Doc knows his stuff!!

My first visit to Dr. Parente's office was for a root canal procedure and it was a wonderful (!) yes, wonderful experience from the time I walked into the office greeted by friendly staff, to my actual time spent with Dr. Parente! He was gracious, caring, and beautifully explained everything about the procedure and what I could expect. He has a gift for setting the tone. During the procedure he kept checking to see if I was comfortable. I was very comfortable during the entire process and enjoyed his choice of music! His assistant, Ebony, was also delightful as well as professional! I am encouraged by the way his office operates (pardon the pun) --because they take the time to create a very pleasant AND professional atmosphere for someone receiving root canal!

If you are unfortunate enough to need a procedure done that Dr. Justin Parente specializes in, at least you can't rest assure that he his the right man for the job. I, unlike most people, don't really mind visiting the dentist. However, no one is siked about getting a root canal done. He and his team made sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure and even went as far as to consult with me before hand, talk with me about each step during, and even take the time for a "debriefing " afterwards. I hope to never need his team again! But, if life events call for it, I doubt I would go to anyone else!

Had to have a root canal. Expected having to be gassed, or knocked out, and all kinds of pain afterwards. Nope. Complete opposite. I was in and out in less than two hours (also did x rays and a little maintenance on another tooth), only local numbing, and no pain, I mean zero, that evening or the next day. AND Doc Parente (Justin) took time to discuss options, answer questions, and explain procedures. Nobody wants to need this kind of work done, but if it happens that you do need it, this is where you go to get it done. Great staff as well! All very professional and courteous.

I had been a patient of Dr Justin Parente's dad, Steve. I had a recent emergency that required a repeat root canal procedure (done elsewhere previously). This was my first experience with the younger Dr. Parente and I could not have been happier with my experience. I was worked in on a day that he was not supposed to be working. Justin was thorough in his evaluation and explanation of the problem. He was gentle and managed my problem expertly and got me out of pain quickly and efficiently. I have never had a better experience at a dental appointment. I would strongly recommend anyone in need of endodontic procedures to see Dr Parente. Waited close to a year to finally get the courage to have this root canal done and should have done it right away. Justin was awesome and explained the procedure step by step and felt no pain at all. Even got my wife to make an appointment with them and she is more chicken than me. Would recommend Justin and staff to anyone.

I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Parente and his staff! Dr. Parente is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and left no stone unturned in treating my complicated case. But even more impressive is his unbelievably kind and reassuring nature. As someone who gets very anxious in the dental chair, I felt 100% at ease at each appointment. I'd go as far as to say Dr. Parente got me through significant anxiety- something that's kept me avoiding dental work for years. His entire staff is top notch and truly make the entire process run seamlessly! Can't recommend this practice more!

Dr Justin Parente and staff where all so kind and caring . I had been in pain for days and Tara got me an appointment right away . Dr.Parente explained every step of the procedure and eased my mind as he did my root canal . Dr. and staff where very concerned with my comfort level . I would highly recommend this practice to anyone apprehensive about a root canal . . My experience at Dr Parente's office has been exceptional! I had a root canal performed on a maxillary molar by a well known endodontist in Marietta. After a year when the bone around #14 had not filled in completely, the well known endodontist recommended that #14 be extracted. I was devastated! I'm a dental hygienist and I take pride in my oral hygiene and teeth and I never thought in my lifetime I would lose a tooth. A friend immediately recommended Dr Parente. Instead of suggesting extraction on #14, he encouraged me to retreat the tooth and try and save it. I just had my final CT scan done yesterday and got the great news... The bone around #14 is completely healthy. Thank you so much Dr Parente for saving my tooth!!!
