They used to be in PG but it's the same guy when I went. I paid thousands to have fixed a root canal these guys messed up. Now a few years later I've lost the tooth permanently and will be paying thousand more for an implant. No compensation - need I say more?

I left a five star review from my previous visit a year ago, but I'll have to change it after my recent experience with this dentist. I would like to preface this review by saying that the other staff--the hygienists and assistants--were all lovely, kind, and patient. I have no complaints about them. Anyway, I needed to get a crown on a back tooth because it chipped several years ago from a concussion. I asked for a silver crown and the dentist tried to talk me out of it, saying that "nobody ever wants silver." He seemed to backtrack later after I didn't relent and tried to appear like he thought a silver tooth was cool and unique. I have severe TMJ, corroborated by the dentist himself when he said "this is one of the worst cases of TMJ I've ever seen," followed by some of the roughest dental treatment I've ever had. I was given far more laughing gas than is usual for some reason and I was full body shaking and couldn't focus, but still aware enough to feel the INTENSE pain that the dentist was wreaking on my jaw and tooth. He was not gentle. He was not kind or apologetic when I was literally crying in the chair. I left the office that day feeling scared of the dentist, which is new for me. I had to return though, to receive the silver crown they had sent out for. I was terrified but still went, and this time was no different. I tried to be firm and ask the dentist to please be careful with my jaw, and allow me to open it for him instead of him yanking my jaw open himself, incorrectly. He said he'd allow this, but then seemed to forget and acted the same as the previous time, which had me crying in the chair again. He was literally rocking my head back and forth to try and shove a divider between the new crown and its neighboring tooth. He had both hands in my mouth at the same time, and I went home with my face completely red from him pulling the skin so much. Rather than apologizing or admitting he mishandled my mouth, he seemed uncomfortable and again tried to backtrack and say that hurting me wasn't his intention. As if my pain and discomfort was my doing alone. I could go on about how this dentist mishandled my situation. He was condescending when I explained I was hopeful that this would be the only crown I'd get for many years. He didn't listen when I explained the pain I was in, and immediately suggested I get a root canal to fix the pain that he had caused. I have since gone to see a different dentist, one who was gentle and caring, and he assured me I did not need to receive a root canal. This new dentist gave me fluoride for my sensitive teeth, shaved down the new silver crown so it fit better, and fitted me with a mouth guard to prevent future jaw pain. Why weren't these solutions suggested at Alpenglow? I have no idea. Listen. I hate leaving negative reviews. I do not like to make people feel bad or guilty, and I know that reviews can effect people's livelihoods. However, after explaining the situation to several different people, we all agreed that future patients need to know this info about this dentist. I am an adult with a fairly high pain tolerance, and this man made me cry twice, and I am still in pain from this crown weeks later. Please be aware of him. Please do not see him if you have TMJ or sensitive teeth.

This was the most pleasant dentist visit I've ever had. Alpenglow was recommended to me by my mother-in-law. I'm glad I switched to this place. Such a friendly dentist and staff.

Dr Faerber is amazing! Before we started seeing him I had one son who would flip out at the dentist. He'd get so worked up that other dentists refused to work on him, but Dr Faerber walked him through everything he was doing and calmed his nerves. We haven't had any problems since! Dr Faerber and his team are so incredibly nice, we take the whole family to their office! I strongly recommend using this dentist!

Dr. Faerber is extremely friendly and you can tell that he really cares that you have a good experience at the dentist. The office staff took the time to help us research dental plans that would be good for our family. This is an exceptionally good dental office.

My daughter had to have a crown done due to an accident. The crown the doctor put in is too large. Now I have to spend more money on getting my daughter a new set of permanent retainers. I had left them a message and their reply was to not return my call.

Well...I don't know where the other people went who gave this place one star but it wasn't the same place I went. First, I haven't been to a dentist in over thirty years because of my aversion to them bordering on phobia. However, my wife, my son, his wife, my daughter, etc all go here and love the dentist. So when I had reached a point where I could no longer put off having work done, I made the plunge. He is kind, friendly, and patient. He listened to my concerns and worries and addressed them. His staff was courteous and good at their jobs. I had MAJOR dental work done there and expected to have to pay the same as if buying a new car but the prices he quoted me were way beyond just reasonable. Nitrous is free and not charged for even for clearnings if you need it. You do have to ask for it and you do have to ask for it to be turned up if needed but what's surprising about that? I had a full upper denture done and partial lower. There were several visits and I was invited to come back for as many "adjustments" as needed. He wasn't kidding either. I've gone back multiple times as we've "fine-tuned" the dentures to what feels best. He's given me samples of denture products to use so I don't have to immediately go buy some and he never has seemed impatient, too involved, or whatever to listen to I need or feel. As to insurance and money? I just got my statement back and learned what he COULD have charged me but didn't. Yes, they DID do me a favor...a very, very big favor. Perhaps I'm just a nice guy and courteous to them and receive the same? While others EXPECT things without being clear about what they want beforehand? I don't know. I DO know I would recommend him to anyone with aversions to dentists or procedures. He has movies on the ceiling or lets you listen to your own audiobook (my son suggest that it and it helped). He cares and wants to help everyone to have a good smile and as little pain as humanly possible in the processor without breaking the budget.

Stay away. Beware of shady, fraudulent billing practices. I got a basic cleaning here and the office tried to fraudulently bill my insurance for a deep cleaning (four quadrants of root planing). The dentist cleaned my teeth in less than 15 minutes which is nowhere near enough time to claim that one quadrant of root planing was performed, let alone four quadrants. In addition, the hygienist or dental assistant applied prophy to my teeth before the dentist even cleaned my mouth which seemed out of order compared to ever other dental cleaning that I have ever received. When I asked the office why my insurance was billed for services I did not receive, they claimed that I did receive a deep cleaning, but since insurance denied it, they billed me for the basic cleaning instead and "wrote off the difference" as if they did me a favor.

NOT RECOMMENDED Maybe I caught them on a bad day. The office is beautiful, the people are nice enough...Others leave good reviews but my experience is that the cleaning was very poor. The attention to detail and being thorough didn't happen at all. I still need to go somewhere else and get the cleaning done. I can still feel lots or areas they didn't even get touched with the cleaning buffer. The girl was nice but admitted it was her least favorite thing to do... well it shows... and it wasted an hour of my life and the fee I paid. The dentist wasn't much better. He gagged me with the suction tools several times... I had water running down my neck and into my collar, no help from an assistant while he was grinding on me so his focus was on the grinder, not the suction wand. Thankfully no major injuries but It was a very poor and unpleasant experience. This adventure in dental visits would weaken the heart of anyone who has an aversion to having work done in their mouth. NOT RECOMMENDED.
